Amanda - Just my 2 cents. I would continue on your meds and see how your other follicles progress. if they don't start perking up you might decide to cancel. I know it sucks canceling but a lot of times they can change your protocol and have a better outcome. Seeing that this is your first cycle it is kind of a crap shoot on how your body will respond. If you are paying out of pocket it might be cheaper to try again later. If you have insurance coverage then maybe go for it. Good Luck!!

Chili,

I have been thinking of you all day. I am glad your RE gave you some hope and is going to try a new protocol.

UPDATE: We are going for it!!!!!! :D on saturday I am so excited. I do have a question I forgot from the last cycle when is the ovidrel given? They are going to call us tomorrow, but I was wondering How many hours before the retrieval do you do the ovidrel? I am praying this works. I think with 3 follicles we have a good chance.

Amanda: Yeah for the going for it! Ovidrel is 36 hours before ER. (wow, I actually knew something - it helps that I just did it a few days ago  )

AFM: Got my report: 12 eggs good enough to ICSI, 9 fertilized today. They will call me tomorrow to let me know if ET is Friday (d3) or Sunday (d5).

Doing ok. Took a pain pill last night and just ibuprofen once this morning. A little sore but not too bad. I was really worried about the IM progesterone shot, but DH did it and it didn't hurt at all. He gave me my first sub-q stim shot and it hurt for 2 days. I did the rest and they were a more sore than the IM. Weird.

fitzjr- I'm glad you get to start your Lupron soon! Needle pokes here you come.

amanda- Yay! I'm glad the RE decided to let you go forward. I'll pray there are three healthy fat eggs when you come out on the other side.

dlk(diddi?)- Nine babies waiting for their mommy, how exciting! Sorry you are still a little sore from the ER, but I hope you feel better soon. Let us know when you hear what day your transfer will be.

FYI: Our RE said my estradial ( I know that is so misspelled) went from 200 to 600 in 2 days. My husband added some brevelle with our gonal-f shot. Because we had such a good response with brevelle the first time around he thought it wouldn't hurt and I guess it didn't..lol I guess what they don't know won't hurt them..

Amanda :D :D :D glad you are going for it. I don't think the extra bravelle will hurt. For this past cycle I did a whole bunch of changing my meds from what my Dr. told me. Probably took at least 600u more of follistim then was perscribed and also cut back on my ganirelix when I wasn't responding well. What the RE doesn't know won't hurt her. hehe

Oh and like mentioned in PP u will take the ovidrel around 36 hrs before ER. I think some clinics might do it 34 hrs beforehand.

Good Luck!!!

Chili - I am so sorry, words can't express!!!

Didi - 9 is so great!!!!

Amanda and Chris - you guys are funny adding your own meds. I feel like a chemist sometimes with all the mixing. My dose is so high already I might be afraid to add lol.

Franny - Happy anniversary! How did the key lime pie come out? You guys are cute! My DH birthday was 7/6 and I did not get him anything yet! We are going to Tampa Friday for his friend's wedding (which got cancelled lol), so money is tight here too. I will spend his birthday money on my accupunture though lol jk! I will get him some stuff for our cruise.

Tammy - Anything new? Did you get meds yet?

Everyones pictures look great!

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome :)

Well ..... day 13 of Puregon now... bloodwork today showed a decrease in estrodiol levels and may lead to cancellation of our cycle. :( This is very discouraging for us... We have spent our vacation at appointment after appointment and yet another early morning of bloodwork and ultrasound, so I guess we will know tomorrow what the verdict is. My levels were almost 14000 yesterday and have gone down to 11500 today. Tonight I did another shot of Puregon and Orgalutran in hopes that there was an error in the bloodwork or another does tonight will bring those levels back up. I'm hoping we can still proceed with retrieval. :S

Didi- WOW! 9 little embies! That's awesome! You must be ecstatic! I'm so happy for you!

Amanda- I am so glad that you're going for it! My RE would do a backflip if I had 3 follicles to retrieve. It only takes one. Don't miss an opportunity. Good luck! Sending lots of love and prayers for you!

Wow...I'm gone for 1 day and I can't even keep up with you ladies!!!!! Let's see how much I can catch up.

annpage...I'm sorry the 2ww wait is killing you! I know it will kill me as well when I finally get there!! Keep your chin up :)

Franny...When I go to my clinic I am usually the only one there as well. It's so nice to not sit in a crowded waiting room when your anxiety levels are already so high! I love that you're making a key lime pie for the fruit anniversary! So cute :) I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!!!

lou...Yikes! I hate having dreams that make me all nervous!!!

Amanda...I am so happy that you guys are going for it. I wish you the BEST of luck! You have me laughing with all of your "test" posts to check for your picture. Just a hint...when you're editing your signature you can hit "preview" and you will be able to see if your pic is there or not :) Ok so I am copying and pasting what you need to put in your signature for the pic to work. I am adding a # sign at the beginning and the end (otherwise the pic will show up and not the words that you need). So copy and paste this into your signature and then delete the # at the beginning and the end. This SHOULD work.

Ester...every time I look at your list I laugh because I REALLY feel like they unhappy face checking my watch and waiting for AF!!! Tomorrow is 10 days of my Provera and it has NEVER taken this long to get AF. I'm wondering if it has anything to dow ith just having had surgery?? Who knows...but I can't wait until you move me OUT of that category!!!

Didi...That's awesome that you have 9 to work with!

Chili...I am so sorry.

Miyaya & Fitz...so exciting that you get to start of Friday!!!

Teresa...I love that you saved that turtle! I am a totaly animal saver. I swear I have saved a dozen or so dogs that I see wandering on the sidewalks! I was even late for my first day of grad school because I found a dog on the side of the road. I went door to door in the snow to see if anyone knew him. Luckily the 4th door was his home and they didn't even know he was gone!

Sorry for everyone I missed...but know that I am thinking of you all and wishing you the best of luck!

AFM...I babysat my niece and nephew today and we spent the day at the pool. I still can't swim because of my stitches but I got to tan and put my feet in the water. The bad news is I tried to lay on my stomach and lean on my elbows to tan my back and I stretched my incision WAY too far!! OUCH :( I was feeling SO good and them BAM...I go and do something stupid! I'm watching them again tomorrow and we are arguing over seeing Dispicable Me or Karate Kid. It's supposed to rain and I was excited to have an excuse to see Dispicable Me, but I have a very convincing nephew. I am STILL awaiting AF's arrival...which is getting very aggravating. I am going to call my doc tomorrow because they say you should get it within 10 of stopping provera and it will be 10 tomorrow. I have a habit of penciling in dates into my calendar and the lack of arrival throws me all off at least a week! Which means the ER and ET I was hoping to have before the school year starts is now looking to land RIGHT at the beginning of the school year. At least my principal knows all about what I'm doing and is very supportive.
