2ww -going mad

Post by nats »

Hi Girls,

I'm new to this forum but have been watching for a couple of days and wanted to say the support you give each other is fantastic. :D
I'm on my first IVF cycle (ICSI) and on day 11 of the 2ww following a day 5 blastocyst transfer and I'm driving myself and DH mad with the wait. I was wondering has anyone else experienced an intermittent dull stomach ache? I normally get this just before AF so am not sure if its good or bad, I've had no cramping at all though just the odd sharp pain. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best of luck to all out there.

Many Thanks

Hi Nat,

Good luck with your cycle - the 2ww, especially the first one, is a killer.

I'm now on my 5th and am really chilled!! You know what to expect.

Basically don't read anything into any twinge or odd pain you get (unless of course you are doubled up and really sick) you will just drive yourself mad!! You will see from reading other peoples posts that some get pains and don't get pg, some get pains and do get pg, some have a different experience with every cycle - it just goes on and on.

The only thing you can do it sit back, RELAX (no stress) and be good to yourself.

Good luck with everything. Why don't you pop along to the May buddies thread?

Hi Natalie,

Welcome to the forum. You've come to the right place here, not been here long myself & I too find the support & advice is a great help. We are all going through the same. I too am on the 2ww ( only day 6) & I am going insane with waiting. I also have been driving DH mad. I know its easier said than done but we got to it. I have started to make more greeting cards as its not anything strenuous. Kind of a hobby!

Regarding the dull aches I have had that also. The first few days were worse, now its settling down, but we must stay positive. Sorry if I sound like I am preaching, maybe I should put into practice what I am saying.

Enough waffling, just want to say welcome & Best of Luck

PMA to everyone :D :D

Hi Christina & Sharon.

Thanks for your replies will do my best to stay positive and not to read to much into every twinge, easier said than done!! Haven't been out of the house much recently as clinic said to rest as much as poss so this probably doesn't help. Might see if hubby fancies dinner out tonight.....

Take care and best of luck

Hi Nats

Just wanted to welcome you to the forum and to wish you loads of luck for your test soon. The 2ww is such a mind bender but we manage to get through it some how. I am just about to embark on my 4th fresh cycle after losing my daughter in Feb at 24 weeks. So fingers crossed for us all.

The symptoms you have described sound quite positive so hang on in there and keep us posted.

Good luck.

Love Dagny xkx
