Secret Sam,

Don't worry about feeling stressed with first treatment it is only natural when you are venturing into the unknown. One good thing is that you have found this site where a lot of people will know what you are going through.

If it is any help before my first treatment I argued all the time with my husband, but now if anything we are closer than ever.

If you have any questions about the treatment then ask the people on this site. If you are really worried about feeling stressed some experts recommend things such as yoga and reflexology, I must admit that I have found them really useful.

Take care and I know it is hard but worrying about being stressed will make you more so!

Regards

Secret sam,

The stress comes and goes, I have to agree with the last poster the message boards can help you vent all that stuff and complementary therapys can go along way also My Bible has been Zita West fertility and conception book. It has a section on prreparing for IVF and lots of tips and examples of things that go on at each stage. Hope to see you on the site more.

Hi Sam

Welcome to the site, you wont regret it as everyone her is really helpful and supportive and if you want to vent or moan you can do it here and you won't vent it at your DH - hopefully.

The whole IVF business is so stressfull and it is only natural to get worked up and stressed and so we hurt the people who are closest to us. My DH and I did get closer during all our cycles and even more so when our daughter died earlier this year but there are days during tretment where no one can help and you just have to have a rant.

We are all going through the same thing and we are all here for each other at difficult times so feel free to talk to anyone. Any questions just ask away. I will be starting my 4th fresh cycle hopefully this month so I have been down this road more than I would like but have learnt do much too.

Stick with it and don't worry too much about getting stressed. Chin up girl.

Love Dagny xkx

Sam,

I have also read Zita West's book and have found it really useful. It certainly made me feel more in control which helped with the stress. Sometimes it can help if you understand what is going on.
