SD-thanks for the much needed comic relief. Not laughing at u just with u. Gotta say u keep me on the edge of my seat with ur postings.

LYD10-Progesterone or early weepy symptoms? Could be...It's very hard not start thinking the worst right outta the gate. It's kinda messed up bcuz u tend to have the fantasy of getting the BFN and wondering how you'll cope instead of more fantasies of the opposite. It's so demented I know. Well u have a ton of cheerleaders behind u. Personally, I hate Prog. bcuz of the vicious constipation

Blairwh-I did the Chinese herbs leading up to stims then I stopped. I'm a proponent bcuz it is said to get rid of all the stagnation.

AFM- I slept like crap last nt. Woke up at 4:11am and I'm still up at 9am EST. think I hit a nerve with the shots lst night too. bullocks! I'm off until nxt Tues so I guess I have time to catch up on my z's at some point. I'm headed to the acupuncturist this aftn but that's about it.

Hope e'one doing baselines get good news so they can move forward.

SD- I'm going with you imagined the negative because you are delerious from being up all night poas!!!! Can't wait to see what your blood test says!

AFM- I just got home from my ultrasound. I have 4 follies on the left measuring 8mm to 10mm, and 5 on the right in the same size range. I'm cautiously optimistic, although I have a hard time thinking that we are really going to get anything out of the right side. Through all of my IUIs I never had any follies develop on the right, and during my last IVF they didn't get any eggs from that side even though there were 7-8 follies over there. So I'm really just hoping that the follies on the left keep on going and we can get good eggs out of all 4. If I can get 4 eggs to actually fertilize that would be a big improvement over last time. Anyway, ER next week (tentatively the 23rd) so I have one more week to drive myself crazy before I know what we really are going to end up with. :D

Shaymama- Too Many Follicles…holding off until things settle down

SD- Dont get down on yourself. I think the positive this morning was a good sign. I would assume that the levels in your urine were higher since it was the middle of the night, so when you re-tested they havent had time to build back up yet. Keep your head up. May even want to wait a few days before getting the bloodwork just so you dont worry yourself to death since its early and they are still lower.

kyleen- sounds like good news that you get to transfer 2 on Monday. Build that lining up over the next few days so they will have a nice home!!

blissful- how did the bloodwork go??

cwehrs- Sounds like good news to me. Potentially 9 eggs!! Just because you didnt get any on the right last time I wouldnt count those out just yet. Fingers will be crossed that they all develop and you end up with lots to choose from.

SD - i think your gonna drive us all insane.   so did you get a blood test done. just do it!!! we need another BFP! if you saw a faint line before, i think you are preggo. just didn't have enough hcg for the 2nd test today.

crissy - congrats on your transfer and being PUPO. 3 blasts is a good amount, are you ready for multiples.

cwhers - have they ever said why they didn't get any eggs from your right? that must be frustrating. though you only need one good one.

blair - have you had troubles with your lining before? if not i would stick with the estrogen if you don't want to spend the $$. My clinic uses the viagra suppositories but usually that is when a persons lining is not thickening on the regular estrogen shots. Sorry about AF. I just got her to leave after a 2+ week visit. I'm doing the happy dance now.

Kyleen - I loved doing acupuncture. don't know if it helped any but at least it reduced some stress. I really want to go back to doing the acupuncture but it cost too much $$ and its like 45 min drive to my AP. I am doing Yoga which seems to be helping relieve some stress.

AFM - still waiting, hehe the wait never ends. Donor started meds on Monday. She goes in for her first u/s on the 21st. I have to go in for u/s on the 22nd. Next week should be the week of ER. YIPEEE!!

Sd- woooo hoooo. At 5dpt 18 sounds great!!! By the time you go in for the official beta hopefully its sky high. Keep your head up- I think its good news for you!!

To_have_fun- my levels have never been horribly low but at the new RE office he doesn't use estrogen. He was going to do the cycle without anything and I freaked out so he suggested the viagra. What sucks is I already have a stock pile of estrogen I could use but he acted like he was against it. Last frozen cycle (miscarried @ 6 wks) with old RE I did an increased estrogen protocol and was on up to 8mg of pill and a delstrogen shot daily- but it ended up making me sick because of all the estrogen. I guess I'm just wondering if the new RE would agree to do a cheaper protocol or if I should go all in since all the money would be worth it if I get a baby.

Yay SD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on your pregnancy!!! And thanks for starting the streak. :D 18 is very good for where you are in the cycle as you know. Prayers for continued great results. Lol on having unlimited access to Beta's. I'm surprised you don't have track marks on your arms like a junkie! Or maybe you do... ha ha.

AFM- I am the polar opposite of SD when it comes to testing stuff. Not only do I not pee on sticks, I also went the whole day at work today without calling for my lab results. The clinic didn't call me either because they will wait to see the results of my US tomorrow. I use a fertility specialist locally who will send the results down to my clinic who is three hours from me. I will just wait to talk to them when they have it all together. Seriously though- I don't call because I am not at all worried about hormone levels. I've always been good there...my issue is just being tubeless. :D Hoping that I am cyst free tomorrow. If so I will be shooting up tomorrow night!

On the herbs, my RE said no to the herbs as did the book some of you may have read called "Conquering Infertility." But my AP (who I love) was devastated when my RE took me off the herbs so I did a little research and found that all the stuff she was prescribing was very mild. There are definitely herbs you should avoid when pregnant or trying to conceive, but a trained acupuncturist would know what those are and would not prescribe them. A trained acupuncturist should also not prescribe anything while you are on stims (at least mine took me off of herbs when it was time for the cycle to begin and that feels right to me). The issue I think is that the effect of most herbs have not been clinically studied, so your RE will take the "better safe than sorry" approach. Ultimately I decided to go on the herbs and I feel great about the decision. I think you have to make the choice that works for you. Personally, I feel much better about herbs that come from nature and have been used for 2000 years than I do some of the stuff we inject.

tohavefun- how exciting that things are under way with your donor!!! It must be very interesting to go through this process. How do you receive updates on her progress? Do you have contact with her or is your clinic the intermediary?

cwhers- I agree with blair, you never know on that right side!!! I am no RE, but I think if you have follies, you have the potential to have eggs. Good luck!

Blair- you have a tough choice. If you haven't had trouble with lining before I would say stick with what works and costs less. BUT... its so hard to say that because if you have trouble you will regret not following doctor's orders. If you can afford it...do it! If the extra cost will add stress... nix it! That's what I would do.

Kyleen- what are you studying? I just had my review last week and my boss wants me to go to get a specialized degree (I already have a stinking MBA and was just saying a few days ago o this board I was done with school!!!). It is a three year program which will require 2 weeks away from home every summer and then a lot of paper writing. You have youngster and are working on another...am I nuts for thinking about doing this? He knows I am trying to conceive and says I can wait a year or two to start. The truth is that I am a super nerd and love the idea of going, especially since work will pick up the tab. How is motherhood and school?

Blissful, motherhood and school is great, hard to organize at times but well worth it.

Can I have some advice please ladies. I have 3d 5 embies on ice. If I transfer 2 then my insurance policy is reduced to one but by transferring two then my chances increase slightly. What is everyones idea in this. My dr sid if the natural cycle doesn't work then I try a medicated fet, but that would have to wait until I saved again. Any advice? :?

kyleen- I would definitely go with 2 just to increase the odds. But then again my insurance doesnt pay for much so I guess it would be a harder choice if the insurance aspect played into it. I am also the one trying to convince my doctor to put in 3 embryos despite the fact Im only 25. Good luck with the decision- just go with your gut feeling.

blissful- Even though I have yet to become a parent I recently fought with the decision to go back to school. I had been waiting for DH to finish his school and wanted to go back to get my masters last March. Since we were trying to get pregnant, doing IUIs I put it off until June. Then in June we were undergoing our first fresh IVF so I decided it would be too much stress. Then I finally decided in August that even though we were still undergoing infertility treatment I should just get it off with and start back to school. I finally did and I am beyond glad. Though it is stressful juggling working full time, going to school full time, and infertility treatments...it helps distract me at times which is always a good thing. If you want to go back you could always try it, and if it becomes too much you can wait until things settle down a little.

crissylove- How are things going for you?? Off bedrest?

katieb- I agree...having the inside track on betas would be a nice thing to have. I almost think i would abuse it and want them all too often though just making sure things were going ok.

to_have_fun- not too much longer for you!!! I cant wait to hear updats so we can get started on your 2ww!!!

AFM- AF is starting to die down thankfully. I have a close friends bachlorette party and decided I should go as my last hoo rah before giving up all alcohol and caffiene and was hoping to not still be on my period saturday. I am a little nervous that I will end up getting too tired saturday night though- we usually go to bed by 10:30...even on the wknds. I made an IVF calendar so I could start counting down the days until I start injections (sad I know). I am so anxious to start everything. My close friend who went through 6 IVFs to get her 1st baby gave me a bracelet to wear during my IVF cycle. She had one she started wearing the day her last cycle started...and she didnt take it off until the day her baby was born. I had worn that one my last cycle when I miscarried, so she thought it would be a better idea for me to have my own- and it has a charm that says "Strength", so im anxious to start wearing it march 6!

Hi SD - Congratulations on your awesome beta result! You are on your way to a successful #2!!!!
Thank you for asking how i am. i am not feeling that great. my PMA is in the dumps. i just dont feel anything "down under". And during my succesful FET cycle i had a distinct pulling sensation as the embie was implanting itself. So, i am pretty much preparing myself for a negative at this point.

Hi SD
I'm in the middle of progesterone madness. Constipation, bloating, sore boobs, mood swings up the ying-yang, sleeplessness, and the insanity of waiting to see. I've always been sorta terrified of the whole pissing on a stick prior to beta, but I'm in a crazy town of my own right now so the jury is out on whether I'll hold out til beta this time.
I thought I'd have the proges madness licked, but no so luck. She's a bad byatch!!
