Hi there,

I've heard great things about McGill. I think there are 5 clinics in Montreal. I may be joining you in the fall. I'm looking to move to Quebec because of the IVF coverage. Better brush up on my French.

I know that McGill posts them online. I haven't looked into OVO...but on a first google search I found 4 or 5 of them? There's also the Montreal Fertility Centre, and Procrea Cliniques. Let me know who you choose to go to. I still have to move to Quebec, once I do, I'll get on their waiting lists.

Hi Sunny,

I ended up not moving to Quebec afterall. I had a very generous friend gift us a bunch of money. So we did another cycle in Ontario. However we only ended up with one embryo. My beta is tomorrow. So we'll find out if it worked. I don't think it did. So now I'm reconsidering moving to Montreal.

Good luck.

as i understood from a friend that in montreal the gov. pays for only 3 fresh ivf cycles. do u have any idea if they pay for a donor embryo cycle ???

Quebec will pay for 3 fresh cycles plus all of the frozen cycles that you would need from those fresh cycles. ie if you have 5 frosties they'll pay for those before you start your next fresh cycle. They'll only transfer 1 embryo if you're under 38 and 2 if you're over 38. Yes they'll pay for donor egg, and donor sperm too. Plus they cover all of your drugs too. It's a great program and they're having great success! They do it like this to reduce the number of multiples and hence save millions for their care.

Check out the Quebec health care website and the fertility clinic websites. They explain it all there.

IVF is of big help for those who can't really have a baby even at their best try but this treatment is costly for anyone to afford. Maybe that's the reason why a Canadian Radio Win a baby contest offers $35,000 prize. For Hot 89.9 in Canada, radio station games are a regular thing. But the most recent prize in the tournament, though, is causing quite the aggravation for some. Though this contest would be great for those who really dream to have a baby but just can't have one because of physical incapability and financial shortage. This latest radio station tournament on Hot 89.9 in Canada is bringing about quite the uproar. The "Win a baby Contest" provides a couple of chances for free In vitro fertilization therapies.
