I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your messages, they really mean a lot to us.. And I know you all understand what we're going through, thank you all so much for your support...
Well, the break was really good, and I think we were a bit nervous about having some alcohol and falling apart, but we did quite well and managed to talk really positively about going again but having time out first. It really helped knowing we could find out the answers to our questions on Friday at our review I know we were so lucky to get in that quick (Bron - I really hope you get yours soon buddy). I have definately over-done the cake/chocolate thing, but I know that's the rules...
So I guess it was positive news but a bit frustrating too at our review. Apparently my eggs were very good quality and DH sperm was completely fine, and everyone was confused as to why only 2 out of 9 eggs fertilized, and the conclusion was we were just very 'unlucky'. So I find that more annoying, but I guess that's just the way it goes sometimes. At least we know to have ICSI next time not to chance that again. Also found out the 2 embies were grade 1 and 2, and that upset me because I think I had just thought maybe they were not that good. Sorry that probably sounds really stupid as I'm glad they were good, but then it just all comes down to a luck thing which is harder to accept. Could not fault our hospital or our Consultant though, they were great..
Good news though, we had decided that we would use an NHS go next, and it seems that will be about 5 months which we thought was pretty good? Our consultant said it would be this year, probably before Xmas, so we're really pleased about that, and that will give us time to be 'normal' for a bit! Got to phone back in September just to check, but I feel I can get on with things knowing rough dates.
Sorry for the huge thread again, but I wanted to come back on to say thanks, and that I will be popping on here now and again to check you are ok and join in your polls Dagny!! I think I would miss chatting with you guys too much if I didn't!

Hi Kel.....lovely to hear from you. Glad you got to read some of the messages. It's always nice to remember that people are thinking of you and supportive of what you're going through.
I think 5m sounds very quick, judging by how long some people have to wait. I like your idea of having a long break from it all but knowing that year-end should get a green light.
Maybe 'annoying' isn't so bad?? It could have been so much worse if they'd found a problem but I see how frustrating their answer must have been too.
Glad to hear you'll still do Dagny's polls - she's very good at them!

Did you ask about 50/50 ICSI/IVF as they can do this you know. It might just have been unlucky with some immature eggs or somethign but when they take out the eggs they can split and do half ICSI and half IVF - they take a view - they have been some great successes in my hospital with this. Just a thought to put to them.

Glad to see things moving forward for you, I'm getting my review appointment on 30 July after a bit of prodding. I have to say |its nice to be off the roller coaster for a bit I feel as if a blanket has been taken of me one that was dulling all my senses, it must have been the drugs.
Been back to the chinese doc and shes got me on different things and I had my first AF without pain this month which is pretty amazing |i havent had that in years. Going of on holiday tomorrow so thats nice as well.
People are still breeding like mad around me but you know what I'm happy for them.
