FET question...Insight ghost?????

Post by sthomson »

Hi Ghost,

I'm in the middle of a frozen cycle. I'm on day 11 of estrace and was just bumped up to 2mg, 3x per day.

I had a saline sonogram 4 days ago and have been spotting since then. I felt concerned enough to go in to the clinic today to just get checked out. The doc (who is not my regular doctor...and who also always gives me a reason to worry) said everything looked fine. No fluid or blood in the uterus. He didn't have an answer for me as to why I may be bleeding. Is this something that I should be overly concerned about?

Then he proceeded to tell me that he NEVER does saline sonos in the same month that he does transfers. This is the 2nd time that he has told me this. For my last FET, I did have a saline sono in the same month as my transfer and I now have a 2 year old from that cycle. But I'm still worried. Is it a bad idea to do a saline sono in the same month as a transfer? My doc says it's not an issue. Do docs within the same practice typically have such different views...and don't you think it's a little unprofessional for one doc to undermine another...especially to his patients...when they are in stirrups and quite vulnerable?????

He also said I had fluid in the culdesac (sp????) of the uterus...then also mentioned endometreosis. I've never been told either of these things before...and I had a pretty long course of treatment to get my baby. Do you think I should mention all of this to my doc????? I don't want to create any issues...but now I've got a lot of negative thoughts in my head.

Sorry for the long email...just a very stressful visit for me this morning.

Thanks in advance...again!!!!!
