Well - it looks like this didn't work for us....
My old clinic would make me wait a month between each cycle, no matter what. That really bothered me, so when I switched clinics, I asked the new RE if I could do back-to-back cycles, especially since we are transferring one embryo at a time and our odds per cycle are lower. He said I could do fresh-frozen, frozen-fresh or frozen-frozen. If I needed fresh-fresh, we would need to discuss the case.
We have ALWAYS had great response and frozen embryos --- except this time. We had 17 eggs but only one fertilized. We aren't sure if it was an egg issue (I had a weird stim phase) or the sperm (from our severe MFI). We transferred our embryo at day 2- and my home pregnancy tests are negative. I go for beta on Tuesday, and have an appt with the RE for Wednesday.
What are the disadvantages of back to back fresh-fresh? Any medical reason not to? If we can't - can I take a minimum of BCP between cycles (like 10-14 days of pills)? I don't ovulate on my own, so I always take BCP between cycles to make sure I get a period so we can start again.
Anyone done fresh-to-fresh?
Thanks!
