T-Middle- Here is praying the 2ww will go by in the wink of an eye. Estrace is estrogen i had to take b/c my body did not absorb from the patches as well this time. My Progesterone is suppository as well this time, but that does not seem to bug me. Don't miss the shots.
Kiwi- Your in my thoughts as you are off to retrieval. May you have many eggs that fertilize into embries.

Wondercat- Our time is getting short.

Ninde- Hope your feeling better.

Afm- Feeling a bit better today. Going to Half Price Books to have something to read on my 2ww. Just 3 days away now.

suzyq- Our time is getting VERY short! I wouldn't miss the shots either, but they are going surprisingly well this time around. I have only taken 3, but so far no bruising just sore.

kiwi11 - Good luck with your retrieval! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. :)

AFM - Went sailing in my little boat last night for the first time this year (there was a hole in it...) which was probably the most relaxing thing I have done since this whole thing started, chiropractor visit included. It was so nice to be out on the water and captain of my own ship so to speak! I picked up my niece part way through, she thought it was great despite the fact that my boat is neither weatherly nor particularly seaworthy. It was pretty windy and even if we weren't going very fast we were heeled over, getting spray over the side which was exciting enough for her. :) Going out again tonight if I get out of work on time, it's better than Xanax!!

YEAH progesterone shots suck! I have only done 4 so far, one in each ::ahem:: cheek -- and I am already really sore. I have not tried doing it in the leg. Where in the leg? Even with my downgraded 1.5 inch needles (they started me at 2 inches!) my leg is scrawny enough that the idea of that is really terrifying to me. I would be afraid of striking bone or something... LOL! And as it is I'm that IVF geek who has to have the nurse draw little circles on my a** so I remember where to stick the needle! :)

Hi ladies

Kiwi: Best of luck! I hope you get some lovely eggs today :)

Tmiddle: How are you feeling now - you got a great result didn't you?

Suzq: What book did you get? I would recommend 50 shades - but maybe not at the moment

Wondercat: Lol, I love that sailing is better than Xanaz - next client that comes in saying he/she is on them I'm going to recommend sailing instead!!!

Cookie: Hmmm, I'm not sure about the stabbing pains - are you on progesterone pessaries?

Afm: Hmmm not sure about this either - I had my follicle check today. After 6 nights of stimms I only have 5 follicles and they are large at 14mm. Has anyone ever had this and things have been OK? One nurse seemed ok about it, the other bland and the third told me to drink lots!!!! It took them 35 minutes to find my left ovary and oh that hurt! I know that I didn't respond well last time in that i had a couple of ginormous follices and then smaller ones so this is certainly steadier in that they are all close in size but they said they wanted them around 10mm at this stage so 14 is on the large side (but would explain the burning pain in my rightg side!!). I havn't been on menopur before and they will phone me later - what do you ladies think?

kiwi11 - Good luck!!!

Cookie43 - I think it's pretty normal to have all kinds of weird pains down there in early pregnancy. The cervix changes in response to our different hormones, it could just be tightening up to keep your little bean safe! I would monitor it in case it starts to get much worse, and call your RE if you are really feeling nervous -- but honestly I don't think that's abnormal at this stage.

Ninde - Just don't recommend sailing to the suicidal ones, all that water may be too tempting! Could be good for your happiness presentation though. :) I got out again last night, and it was perfect. Nice wind and we came back in during an absolutely spectacular sunset. I don't know about your follicles... Did they totally change your protocol from last time when you had uneven growth? Sounds like maybe they need to reduce your dose to keep it steady but slow it down a little. Are all of the follicles on the same side or spread out? Sounds like they are slightly worried about OHSS if they are bigger than the nurses would like to see and they want you to be drinking more. How often do they have you going in for the scans?

AFM - Transfer is finally TOMORROW!!! 10am EST, so less than 24 hours to go! Not sure how I am going to get any sleep tonight, last night I was awake at 2am alternately obsessing over my work and worrying that my embryos won't survive the thaw. I didn't think we were telling anybody, but suddenly it seems like everybody knows so... No pressure or anything!

Wonder cat: yay for transfer, that's great. I hope you sleep tonight :D clinic phoned, they want me to stay on the same dose for three more nights which im amazed at and i have to go back on fri for scan. Apparently my blood was 'lovely - but they never tell me levels. I asked if size was ok and she said yes so now im gobsmacked and confused. Last time my follicles were very uneven and two jumped above 25. This time they were all 13.5/14 so maybe they are thinking because they are all the same size the jump wont be too big. Asked to be scanned on thurs but she said there would be no benefit. I think they are worried my lower back pain may be ohs but they seem to think i have way too few follicles for that.

Cookie43- Sounds like it you could be pregnant to me. I have had three births. In the beginning with each I had so stabbing pains. Try not to worry. Call your RE if you are still concerned. Good luck and thanks for joining us. I've read your post on the other thread.

Wondercat- Hope you sleep tonight. Grab a good book and get your mind off it. Sailing sounds wonderful. Were you in the ocean or a lake? I too find being on the water very relaxing. Probably why my estrogen is low this time. I keep getting in the water. I am trying to just get in and out now to cool off. Did go knee boarding Saturday for a bit. I just could not resist. That will be the last time this summer if all goes as planned. Good luck tomorrow. The eggs will do just fine. My RE says if they were strong enough to survive freezing they usually defrost just fine.

Ninde- No idea on your follies. Sounds like Wondercat has some good ideas. How many days did you stim before? Got a David Baldacci book titled, Hour Game. Something mindless to keep me busy. Each night before bed I have been reading, The Infinite Atonement and God Wants a Powerful People. They both give me a lot of peace dealing with my dad's death.

Kiwi and Tmidle- We are thinking about ya. Good luck.

AFM- My DS has been a big chicken about walking. He is 14 mths. Both my girls walked at 11mths. DS can crawl like crazy and climb to scary heights. Sunday I turned around and found him half way up spiral stairs. There is a gate and I have big bean bags behind it so he can not go through the open slats. Scared me to death. These stairs are dangerous for an adult. So last night he stands up and just takes off walking across the floor. Then turns to me and says, "Mom!" He was so excited smiling from ear to ear. :D Just what I needed this week! I wish baby dust to all. Two days away for me. Just waiting on the phone call today with the time for Thursday.

Hello Ladies-
Just checking in today it's been a while since I have posted. I had a bad head ache again on saturday my poor DH wanted me to go to the Emegency room he was freaking out I didn't know if I could take anything so I just delt with it. I called my RE on mon and she said to try caffine and Tylonol extra strength so that makes the DH feel better. He seems more freaked out about everything than I am sometimes  I have my ultra sound in the morning hopefully everything goes well and I get good news. Things might sink in more tomorrow after I get my new busy Doctor schedule.
I love to go out on the boat and just relax it's so wounderfull.
I'm the biggest rookie at all of this so I have no ideas for advice about the pain Cookie is haveing or the sizes of folicals but now I know what to pay attention to during my apointment in the morning.

Hi everyone,

Retrieval went well and we got 13 eggs- 12 could be used and this morning we are down to 9 very good ones :-)
Now waiting for the transfer

Ninde. I also had fast growing follies and the nurse told me that it is not a problem as long as they are close in size. So you should be done. She also said they usually aim for at least 9 days of stimming so You should be fine
Sorry it took them so long to find your ovary - it is really not that pleasant.

Wondercat good luck for tomorrow - laila be thinking about you
Sailing sounds feat. I took a beginners lesson two years ago and liked it. However I still didnt figure it out with the wind and where it comes from or how I have to navigate :-)

Cookie43 - hi - I don't think there is anything of concern as long as it is not a real bad pain. I think because we tend to be overly conscious we notice every little thing and other pregnant women don't even think about it.

Suzyq. :-) first you want the to walk then you would be happy they wouldnt :-) next step will be talking and you ll get an earful . Good luck on Thursday

I wish everyone a wonderful day

Kiwi11- Thats so funny and very true. Before our last apointment he was acting like this all was going to be a breeze. His parents are coming to town this weekend and he was even planning to all drive to Indianapolis on Monday (retrieval day) go have lunch afterwards and then they will head beack to Ohio where they live. Then we had our apt, they explained I have to be partially under for it, just like surgery then they were showing us the meds and how to mix them and all of the sudden he was starting to faint. There were a bunch of nurses in the room checking his sugar and blood preassure and I had to make sure to take him and get a good breakfast. It's so funny to me. He tried to give me the shots and now he can't even be in the same room while I'm doing them. MEN!!

Tawny - That's HILARIOUS about your DH!! I was going to ask if the caffeine and Tylenol was for you or him, but after that last post I know it must be for him! My DH is pretty good with shots and all that, his problem is sorta forgetting that I am a hormonal trainwreck and getting all baffled as to why (when my a** hurts and I am just one hormone away from homicidal rage) I'm don't feel all too much like sexy time. :( LOL!!! Agreed: MEN!! 8)
