New to IVF

Hello all, I am just starting IVF and any advice and or stories would be great. I am on cycle day 1 today and Saturday I go for my 3 day blood work and a AF ultrasound. 11/23 I go for a mock transfer, an office hysteroscopy, and a cervical culture. I am currently waiting for the results of my genetic testing and my AMH level. Anyone else just starting, or anyone who can let me know how the process goes from here? I don't see my fertility specialist again until 12/30

Remember every IVF clinic follows own protocol and slightly adjusted treatment according to couple's individual needs. As you are going for blood work and ultrasounds on 3rd day and if it would come out normal, then the next step will be ovarian stimulation with fertility drugs. Reaction of disbelief and fear is normal while undergoing the treatment, but without serious disruption, follow the whole process with positive hope. Thousands of couples benefit from this procedure every year.

Hi dear! My life changed completely thanks to the procedure and my clinic. I'm happy mother and wife now. My husband is so grateful and he loves our son. We never raise the issue of de ivf. We live like normal family and don't even think about problems we had. I love my son, he's my treasure. We chose Ukrainian clinic because there were mostly positive reviews and quick response from the clinic on our mail. I've browsed each forum, each thread about egg donation. There were both good and bad reviews. But generally the clinic seemed to me professional and popular among infertile couples. Also they have good prices and don't ask to pat extra fees. Don't think we are greedy. But this procedure is only the beginning. After childbirth costs grow along with baby. So why pay high prices, give all your money and then work at 3 jobs, so have no time for child you wanted so much? This clinic proposes same services for lower price. There were a couple of factors which convinced us to sign contract. When we came to the clinic for the first time, we saw many people there. I should say we didn't expect this at all! I never thought Ukraine is so popular. And since that moment I had a feeling that everything will be fine. Not for nothing people go there! At first I thought their medicine stuck in the past. But after looking at the clinic and their modern equipment I changed my mind. The clinic had already taken care about everything. So our stay in Ukraine was absolutely comfortable. We were met in the airport by taxi driver, who was carrying us across Kiev by his car. He was transporting us to the clinic and our apartment, which was also provided by the clinic. We had a manager and she translated everything for us. She spoke language fluently, so there were no misunderstandings. They even provided us with food supply! The only thing which we cared about was de ivf procedure. All those services were already included in our package. We didn't pay some extra fees. The clinic never asked to pay additional charges. The clinic has a couple of packages. So you can choose the one, which suits the most. We chose 'double' for €6 900. Also there was 'guaranteed success' for €9 900, where you can have 5 attempts. I case of failure of all 5 tries the clinic pays money back. If you choose 'Economy package' for €4 900, you'll have one attempt of de ivf. Also the clinic has package where you can transfer from donation to surrogacy. Speaking about package we chose, we had 2 attempts. I've got pregnant from first attempt. I wish you all the best, hun!

I'm new to the IVF forums. I'm so nervous and excited that I do not know where to start. I have been accepted to start the IVF cycle in Jan2017 in San Antonio, Tx. I am so ready to get started. I have done all the lab work and a hysteroscopy that was required of me and my husband has done his lab work as well. Hello all. I am new to this and going through my first cycle. I had IVF with ICSo. At ET they got 9 eggs. Of those only 4 were mature enough to be fertilized. We transferred one A+ 5 day blast on Nov. 12th. Only two other (B grade) made it to freeze on day 6. I'm 7dp5dt and have been hpt testing constantly. Still seeing only stark negatives. I'm feeling so down. Hoping to hear some success stories after negative tests this far along... Today is my 33rd birthday and all I wanted was to see a positive this morning... which did not happen...

we have done so many of check ups and had to provide the clinic of our choice with a lot of documents so they see what is my condition. but anyways (this is all new to me) i am going to undergo another set of examinations while I am at the clinic next week. didn't know ukrainians were that strict, even though i see it as a major plus!
so. as i have had two previous ivf rounds I am still new to all of the kinds of fertility treatment abroad. so we are in the similar positions right now. but it is a lot harder for me to get advice on my issues than it is for you!
