Hi Sorry its been so long but you know what life is like with kids, very busy, especially having twins im kept going all the time!!
I have a woman coming to house tomorrow from a under 5s childrens home to collect some toys and baby clothes as they have out grown so much and id like them to go somewhere they will be used and i feel a childrens home is the right choise all those poor kids with not very much so hope Brodi and Kyles stuff can bring a smile to those childrens faces!!

You sound like you've got your hands full! That's a lovely thing to do! I wondered what to do with Jay's old things, and gave them to a charity shop to be distributed - I also gave some to a local organisation for underprivileged families. I thought that there were so many things that had barely been worn before they were grown out of, and so many expensive clothes that had been bought as presents that it would be a good thing to do. Interestingly, when I apologised to the charity shop that a few things were a bit battered (had been handed to my by friends who had older children), the shop said that if things are too poor quality to use, they get money for them by weight so still appreciate things.
i wish I'd thought of a children's home though - will have to investigate for the next pile!
Jay is 1 on the 27th as well! We're having a family party for him on Saturday afternoon for a couple of hours. what are you doing for the twins? Not sure about you but hasn't this year flown?

Yeah this year has gone very fast i was just saying that to my friend today that this time last year i had a big fat tummy amd was woundering what sex the babies would be!!
Yeah they are very hard work but worth it, Kyle has been walking since he was 10mths so he is into evrything, Brodi is trying so hard to walk but just cant get the just off it the now!!
Is Jay walking?
I have the family and some friends and their kids coming on thursday, i went away and ordered them a birthday cake each yestarday just with it being their 1st i have them one each!! Going shopping tomorrow to get their presents but dont know what to get as they have loads off toys and clothes, especially with them being first grandchildren on both sides (their spoiled) ha ha..

Yeah the woman was very greatfull for the toys and clothes she said they dont get alot off baby clothes mostly older childrens clothes, i said id look more out for her, are you planning on trying for another baby??

Ooh - it's birthday eve isn't it!
we figured that Jay would get lots of toys and clothes for his birthday, so we opened a savings account for him so are going to put some money in it for his birthday. We're having a little party for him on Saturday with close friends and family, so I've got a nice Annabel Karmel recipe for individual birthday cup cakes so I'm going to be all domestic and make them and ice them with Jay 1 on them on friday night! I'm going to make about 30 so will probably have to eat a few to test them!
To be honest, we thought long and hard about whether to have another baby, but having Jay was so 'against the odds' we decided against it (I have awful endo, dodgy eggs, am 38 - DH has dodgy sperm - when I had my BFP my consultant (who we'd got quite close to by then) admitted we were a 'very difficult case'. The day after I had Jay he came to see me and joked that if we wanted to try again he'd have to hand us over to a colleague as his heart would not stand the strain again!! In addition, I was in hosp for 3 weeks before Jay as from 20 weeks I had a low lying placenta and also have Rh negative blood so was considered very high risk. Then, when i had the C section, there was so much endo the surgeon had to do a very high incision and I lost 5 pints of blood!!! So we weighed it up, and decided that we didn't want to be greedy and that 1) we couldn't go through it all again - emotional and financial stress, 2) I would be older and at much more risk this time so would potentially need to spend 3 or 4 months in hosp on bedrest which would not be fair to DH and Jay and 3) we have been so lucky that Jay is beautiful, sweet natured and perfect, that all we ever wanted was a family, which we now have and to leave it there. Does that make sense??
In a tiny way I'm a bit sad that it's so final, but we ahve been so blessed to have Jay that a part of me thinks we would not be so lucky again. bet I sound a bit nutty - do I?
Kyle and Brodi sound most advanced - 10 months is brill - Jay only started crawling at exactly 11 months, so don't think he'll walk for a bit yet - although he's started kneeling and pulling himself up so it's definitely an item of interest though!
Happy birthday to Kyle, Brodi and Jay - and anyone else who's fortunate enough to have a birthday on 27th january!!
