Hi everyone,
A thread on travel and holidays mentiones sterilizing bags and tablets, could someone explain to me what these are and tell me where one might buy them in the UK? We are planning abeach holiday with our twins some time in August whe they will be 11 months and i am concerned I need to sterilise their bottles to avoid infections - we just boil them at home. We live in the netherlands but dp is going for a business trip to London and I would like to get some for the summer - don't seem to have them here!

I am not sure how much they are to be honest but the bags are wrapped up individual I ain't sure if they have tablets with them I think the bags themself are sterile, you will have to let me know how you get on.
Alex is asleep at the minute he must of warn himself out with all the walking.

I don't suppose that it may be of any use to you but whenever we went on holiday we used steriliser bags from Mothercare that you have to heat up in the microwave. Other than that you can get Milton sterilising tablets which you just add to water in a sealed container (we used a plastic lunchbox). You then leave the bottles in the tub overnight (I think) to sterilise them.

TTC 5 years. Daniel & Charlotte born 22.03.02, 1st ICSI treatment. TTC for 4 further years. 2nd ICSI cycle abandoned, 3rd cycle BFN. Looking forward to being a happy family of 4.
Juliana, I'd imagine larger Boots (The Chemist) branches would also carry their own version of these. Boots are in most shopping areas, high streets and at many stations/airports etc.
I didn't ever sterilise DD's bottles, I put them in the dishwasher where the extremely high temps did it all for me! If you're self-catering vs. a hotel/camping/pension/gite etc. you might find a microwave in which you could also sterilise them (I boiled them for 10mins when I didn't have access to a dishwasher).
