Hi girls

I am currently going through my first IVF and will hopefully have EC on 12th of Sept..

I am injecting myself at the moment which I have to say I found very easy and it does not hurt at all. I am not feeling any side effects from those of the buserelin. It all seems to be going too smoothly.

I am a little worried as my last scan before the injections showed i still had a 4mm lining on the womb but had stopped bleeding. Is this normal? I don't want to bleed during ET as they say that this is not good. Has anyone else had this problem?

Any advice greatly received..

Good luck everyone

Hi Septembies,

Pootle - welcome to the thread. Hope everything is OK for you. I am also injecting Buserelin at the moment although my EC is not until approx. 10th Oct. as I am having to do a long cycle. However, my side effects are just beginning to click in.

Tilly - good luck with transfer :D

Lisa - Fingers crossed for lots of eggs to! Love what you've done to the page

Everyone, hope it is going OK for you all. I am just checking in. Not much happening for me except I am just beginning to feel side effects from the Buserelin. I finally started feeling better from the metformin but last night I could not sleep because I was so hot even tough it was cooler here than it had been in days. It was only this morning that I realised that was probably the suppresion kicking in!! I am also suffering some weird feeling on my face, it feels almost like a rash or sunburn (tight and tingly) yet I am not at all hot. DH says I am very red and is finding it very amusing!! I wonder if this is another symptom or am I just falling apart?? Anyone else feel this??

Anyway, got to go watch the formula 1,

Catch up later,

Thanks for the support AJ, I think I may have caused confusion I am sniffing Buserelin and Injecting Gonal-f hence why my EC is hopefully on the 12th Sept.

The race was good - Can't believe Kimi managed to finish 4th (What a guy). Surprised to find another F1 fan on here though of all places)

Good luck

Hi everyone,

Everything went fine with my ET. They have implanted two beautifully formed 4cell embryos. The hospital are still a little worried about me contracting OHSS and have booked me in for another scan this thursday to check my ovaries are ok. Until then I have got to rest and drink lots of water.

I was quite emotional during the ET. The doctor showed me and DH the embryos on a TV screen and then we watched the actual ET on another screen as the nurse scanned by tummy. It was unreal.

So now I am officially on the 2ww. I know there is another thread for this so I might join that.

Thanks for all the support and I hope everything goes well for you all.

Here hoping for lots of successful septembies!!!

Hi all,

Nice to see that people seem to be progressing well with treatment. Im still DR, but hoping tues at scan i get the go ahead for stimms. Finiding the DR injections fine with very few side affects, but its annoying that your life is controlled by time of the injections.

Back at school tommorrow, so that should be fun,

take care

Hi Jay

I too am having acupuncture - had my first session last Wednesday and am going back again this Wednesday.

On my first treatment I had the needles inserted down my back but he also said that he would be putting them in my tummy and over my ovaries, down my legs etc. He told me I have low blood energy and low kidney energy so he will be treating that too. He also mentioned 'cupping' but I'm not keen on having that done so will avoid it.

www.acupuncture.org.uk if you log onto the website you can look up acupuncturists near you. John (acupuncturist) is on this webiste and practices in Claygate and Raynes Park. He charged £40 for the first session which included taking a brief on me - overall about 1 hr and the follow-up sessions will be £35. He has been treating women on IVF and some have even gotten pregnant naturally.

Hope you are doing okay.

Best wishes, Pauline x

Pauline - Not sure about cupping..I think it leaves read marks on your body..like huge hiccies. If your acu works on your ovaries and kindey..ask him to do moxabustion (burns herbs) when he does the needles in your stomache...it is really nice and really helps the blood flow to this area...feels nice and warm...I love it...except I smell like marijuana after and everyone on the underground looks at my strangely

Thanks for the tip Tracii.

Think I will not be having cupping - my dh is sceptical about acupuncture without going home with 'hiccies'
