Gonal-F and Ovidrel

Post by puddin »

Hello,
I am starting my first dose of both Gonal-F and Ovidrel soon. I don't know what to expect ... if anything.

If you've been on either med, please share what you experienced.

I'd like to have an idea of if there are any typical side affects, how soon you "feel" them after the injection, where you injected med, and anything else you think is important for a "newbie" to know about.

Any info. would be greattttttly appreciated!
Thanks and God bless,
Puddin

Hi Puddin

I had Gonal F but not ovidril. The one thing I remember when stimming was just my ovaries feeling uncomfortable and swollen. I dont remember any other particular side effects myself and by feeling this it reminded me it was working! (I didnt respond at first because I was on a low dose, so was relieved to feel something when they put my dose up!). I had an auto injecter which made things easier and found injecting in my stomach better than my thigh (Although other girls say different - do whichever is more comfortable for you).
Good luck with your treatment. You might get more response to this question if you post on the general forum, its a lot busier there. There is also a thread running called 'September buddies' where you can join other girls going through the same treatment.
Take care
