Gonal-F and Ovidril

Post by puddin »

Hello,
I am starting my first dose of both Gonal-F and Ovidril soon. I don't know what to expect ... if anything.

If you've been on either med, please share what you experienced.

I'd like to have an idea of if there are any typical side affects, how soon you "feel" them after the injection, where you injected med, and anything else you think is important for a "newbie" to know about.

Any info. would be greattttttly appreciated!
Thanks and God bless,
Puddin

Hi Puddin - Just to say Hi and Welcome ... These are 2 meds that I haven't used, so can't give you any feedback. There are quite a few ladies using / who have used Gonal-F .. not sure about the Ovidril (it doesn't really ring a bell) ..

Good luck with your cycle !

Hi,

i´ve used Gonal F before. Couldnt really say it had any major side effects on me. I had the pen and i found it really easy and pain-free to use. Will u be using the pen?

Sorry, dont know the Ovidril. Is that for DR? For DR i used Buserelin injections. Was a bit tired during DR but ok.

When r u starting?

Best of luck to u!!!

Hi

I had Gonal F - I have done it by auto-injector and my self-injection and both were fine.

I had no reactions - although maybe DH would say otherwise

Don't know about the other drug, but good luck with everything.

PUDDIN,

I AM USING GONAL-F PEN RIGHT NOW.. NO SIDE EFFECTS REALLY. MOODY SO DH SAYS. THEY BURN ALITTLE WHEN BEING INJECTED BUT OTHERWISE PRETTY PAINLESS. I HAVE INJECTED IN MY STOMACH AND HAVE FOUND THAT IS THE LEAST SENSITIVE SPOT. DH IS A GOOD INJECTOR LOL.
YOU DONT FEEL ANYTHING UNTIL THE FOLLIES HAVE GROWN A BIT. I WOULD SAY THAT I DIDN'T FEEL ANYTHING UNTIL MY 5TH DAY, BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND I HAVE ALOT OF FOLLIES IN THERE.....
GOOD LUCK........

Thanks ladies for shedding some light on Gonal F. I wish I knew about auto-inject...mine are regular needles w/ ampoules that my husband will inject for me.

I'm on a "mini stim" taking clomid, Gonal F and Ovidril.
Clomid for estrogen, Gonal F for folli stim, and Ovidril for ovi stim.

I really appreciate the feedback. :D

Good luck to everyone!
