I Got quite dizzy from all the strange bouncy faces?!?! I have to admit it took my mind of IVF for a few seconds there so - OK - I see their purpose!!
Sat down today and did a spreadsheet to try and predict my ET date... If my next 2 periods occurs when I expect, the transfer for me will be around the 8th November...and hence the 2ww starts.
I have drawn up a checklist for the next 45 days to help keep me on track. It records the following each day:
1)Water consumed.
2)Have I done my Pelvic floor excercises for the day.
3) Excercise I have done (walking really)
4) have i had my folate & vitamins
5)Sugar (I think if I force myself to record my sugar intake I will reduce it!!)
I didnt even make a column for Alcohol so I feel I have banned it from myself altogether!
.......so according to my new sheet I have 45 DAYS til conception / FET! I actually feel like I am on a countdown and health kick to go with it. It is much easier to have lots of PMA when your not in Limbo and there is a date in sight, even if it is an estimate. I feel better anyway!
Hope you are all keeping up the PMA, harder some days than others but we dont want to be sending negative messages to our bodies now do we?!?!?

Hi Carinaboo
We've be cycling at exactly the same time - I'm due for ec on Nov 7th. Just waiting for AF to show her head in the next couple of days and then its bcp for 3 wks, scan and injections
You are very good doing all those charts - I've a 2litre bottle of water sat on my desk which i force myself to have each day, alcohol will stop completely after hols (but I don't drink that much anyway), we try and eat a healthy diet so hopefully all will be fine. I'm not going for acupuncture this time because I didn't really enjoy it and my problems can't be sorted by it.
But one I'm absolutely gonna do is chill and relax - nothings gonna stress me.
Have a fab weekend all
xx
Hello Ladies,
My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 3 years and just started IVF 5 days ago. Egg retrieval in November. I am pretty scared and would like to hear some feed back on it. The doctor says we are perfect for this beacuse of our stats. I am hoping he is right. I'm just scared and need support. My family of course are scared for me and want me to look at the possibilities of it not taking the first time around but I just don't want to hear the negative parts anymore. Does someone have any advise for me?
Thank
IVF Scared Mommy
Welcome to the site - everyone here is really supportive - I think you'll value being able to check in here every so often.
As far as the good sides - there are lots of people who have taken first time on IVF which is excellent! There are also lots of us who also have good stats where it doesn't work first time, but takes a little more patience......Either way I wish you the very best for your first cycle and will be keeping my fingers crossed for you

hi all
just to say, we hope to be joining you all soon, we have our appointment with our clinic on 10/10, so we can get started on FET, we have 4 embies, and this will be our last go, no matter what the income,
the last time i was on here, which was last year and resulted in a lovely little girl{at 27 weeks}, we had a thing going with Percy Pigs from m&s, most of us did get positive results but sadly some didnt, but maybe the percy pig thing did work, one of the girls even had some sent to usa, another positive.
we will be having a hrt fet, i think because of my age, im 42,
i just wish it was time to start, i did buy zita west book, and will now start the countdown,
anyway, bye for now
speak soon
love jackie xx
Hi Ladies,
I am new to IVF. I am starting I hope this week (waiting for AF) so I am probably suppose to post this in the October section but can't seem to find one.
As i said in my introduction I am excited to finally be starting another step in my TTC journey.
I am hoping that my cycle doesn't go longer then usual as it did with Ovualtion Induction and I ended up doing it for 45 days rather then 28 like most people. My body doesn't respond well to the injections and they put me on really high doses.
I look forward to meeting and chatting with you all and hope that this will be the cycle for all of us.
Cheers, Walshy

Thanks for the greeting Sammylou. I look forward to sharing this experiance with you all. I have read all of your views and can appreciate what all of us individuals are going through. The great thing about having a web site like this is that we can share our individual stories and share hope and joy with each other. It helps!!!
We have our second apt. on Thursday so I'm pretty nervious about that. I've been on the stimulator for 5 days and everyday is a new kind of feeling going on with my body.
Weird....last day of my period and my breasts hurt! Is that normal?
Hi Sara, Welcome aboard - best of luck with your er - you'll do great.
Hi all other November buddies - another week closer !!! lets hope its a fab one
xx
I posted in October Buddies as start DRing Oct 5th but I think my real IVF home is with the emoticon extravaganza November crowd as EC (hopefully) 1st week november. Oh god maybe I'll jinx it by saying that? Hey ho - got to be positive I guess.
After 2 years it all seems a bit wierd to be at the start of this.
I think the planning strategy is a great idea too. I plan to factor in some treats and distractions, high maintenance grooming!
Have any of you read a book called Infertility Survival Guide (I think - memory on the fritz)? It's very good with a high "I felt like that" factor
