Hi everyone! I am happy to report that our ultrasound today showed we are 6 weeks. We saw a heartbeat and we are feeling so much better. I'd like to share a couple things that happened that were out of the norm in case anyone else is going through this.

First of all, you can have a period when pregnant. It will probably be lighter that normal but you can have one. I thought I was only 3 weeks along because of bleeding in early October that turned out not to be a period. Secondly, spotting bright red and cramping does NOT necessarily mean a miscarriage. I was scared to death when I saw this a week ago. Called the doctor and told her and she said it was probably okay. It was never enough to get to the pad but was heavy when I'd go to the bathroom. Third, the clear blue easy fertility monitor can show peak ovulation when you're pregnant. I think that might have been from the clomid I took in September.

By the way, has anyone taken clomid and found out they were pregnant when doing so, it has me a little freaked out. Finally, the invisible lines you think you see on the HPT's may not be a figment of your imagination even when everyone else thinks differently. Follow your gut.

To everyone taking clomid, demand an HCG blood test every month before taking clomid. Your doctor can put it through stat and have the results in 4 hours. I wish I had done that in August so I didn't have to worry about taking it while pregnant.

Oh, one more thing, HCG levels don't always double in 48 hours. So much more can be told from an u/s.

Hope this helps. Any info on clomid and the fetus would be much appreciated.
