HOW MANY TIMES UNTIL IT IS POSITIVE?????IS THERE HOPE?????

Post by minsm »

Hi everyone! I posted up a poll not to long ago and noticed it was gone. Therefore I am posting another one. My husband and I have been going through IVF and this will be our 3rd transfer, 1st and 2nd were negative.

I am 25 years old and I was diagnosed with POF at the age of 18 (pre-mature ovarian failure) which is pretty much menopause:(. I wanted to start this poll because we are beginning to lose hope. That is why maybe you can help us see and bring us back with our heads held up high and be positive once again!!! Please!

Thank you very much!!!

Mindy

I have voted as well. But dont lose hope, you are very young and therefore have a higher chance to fall pg. I became pregnant on my 3rd go. I have my fingers crossed for you, and think positive. I was really poistive for my 3rd go and I'm sure this helped. Have you read Zita Wests book?
Best wishes

Hi sophijane thank you so much I feel like it isin't going to work because I was positive ever since we started, I just get these moods lol but I hope this 3rd time is a charm. My second transfer went well I had started to spot and I thought oh my it's implantation bleeding like they had told me but the day after it was over I had a full out period !

We are going back in November for the 3rd cycle. I do have Zita's book here and next time I will try the hot pad on my stomach ;) I thought of acupunture but it would be to much because the only place I can go would be 40 mins from my place. I am so happy for you and that it worked, thank you for your reply and your encouragement!

Take care Mindy

Mindy, what hot pad on the stomach??? at which stage? I know she strongly suggests NOT doing this after ET. Perhaps you're referring to another stage?

good luck
Debra.

Hi DebraP I just went back in the book and Zita suggested to keep the abdomen warm to improve the flow of blood in the pelvis. She doesn't say at what stage thow?

So you were told not to ? Let me know why? I might have misread a section but if you know some things we can do to improve the embryo after the transfer can you let me know because I am going for my third trandfer in November and would like to try some things that are suggested.

Thank you take care Mindy

Mindy, I was looking at her *Fertility & Conception* book, p. 178 dealing with the 2ww. She says (in 'Days 1-4 other measures') "Keep the lower abdomen warm - I cannot stress this enough ' but stop using a hot water bottle".

Re. your question of how to improve the embryo after transfer, I don't think there's anything anyone can do except rest, be/eat healthy, don't start any new activities and follow the list of Zita's advice - no saunas, no sex etc.

Hi Debra thank you for your help! I really am positive for this 3rd transfer! Oh one question did you drink alot of water as it says in Zita's book? I've been meaning to ask that question but I always get carried away in other subjects and forget about it!

Thank you

Take care

Mindy

 Mindy, no! I never drink 2l a day, even if all my drinks were combined. I'm one of those people that can go all morning without a sip and not notice. Hopeless really.
