I am 32, I have three children ages 12, 6, 5,. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I am 5'3 108 # but my brothers are over 6' and my girls are tall, I had my tubes tied 4 years ago but I am very fertile, my two youngest ones are 14 months apart. We want to have another child despreatly but cannot afford it. I thought that if I could donate my eggs or embryos, then I could share them with someone wanting a child also. If the couple would pay for the treatment instead of paying me for the eggs or embryos they could just pay for me to have IVF, and the meds and we both could become pregnant. I am willing to go through more cycles if needed and would try my best for you to become pregnant at the same time. and with an extra cycle if needed. If this sounds like something you may be interested in I can email you pictures of me and my children, If you need embryos my husband is 39 and 5'7 and he is a big guy at 235 but all my kids are tiny guess they all took after me. I am a licensed practical nurse. Both our grandparent are american indians so my kids look like they were born with a cool tan. I am willing to travel as long as expences are paid. Please consider me as an option. We can agree on a contract that gives you the left over eggs and embryos because I could not afford to save them. Love Carrie and Ralph email

I just sat here and read all 13 pages, but sadly don't remember who's who/who's pregnant/still trying, etc. - sorry. I still don't know what all the abbreviations stand for.
Just wanted to say best of luck to you all. You seem like a wonderful group of ladies.
I, too, need an egg donor, was diagnosed with POF in 1997, I'm now 33. DH and I have our consultation at IVI Valencia on November 4. We're so excited (and a bit unsure) to go meet with the team there!
My main question (right now) is - has anyone been successful with egg donation on the FIRST go?
We have attempted three donor transfers, two fresh and one frozen. Our clinic in America advertised success rates of 80% using donor eggs but these are only statistics based on a small sample of patients. Everybody is a unique case and so is every donor. In our first cycle, we had problems with the quality of the eggs, therefore the embryos were not the best quality and did not make it to blastocyst stage. Needless to say we were unsuccessful and did not have any embryos to freeze. Our second attempt using a different donor, theorecticaly went very well. Good eggs, good fertilisation rate and 8 blastocysts. No problems my end and yet unsuccessful. Our next attempt was a frozen transfer. We transfered three blastocysts and ended up with a positive result. However this was short lived and ended up in an early miscarriage. We are going again, using yet another donor as the last one no longer donates her eggs. Apparently our silver lining on a black cloud is the fact we did get pregnant. Before the next cycle we are to undergo an E-tegrity test to check the receptivity of my lining to enable successful implantation. The outcome of this test will indicate whether I am to undergo treatment before the next cycle.
Our impression at this stage is that there are many variables that come into play. For instance, eggs and sperm need to be of reasonable quality and the lining of the uterus needs to be receptive to implantation. There are many other variables that would be unique to each individual as to why a IVF cycle is unsuccessful. The doctors seem to be able to control many of these variables but not all. Perhaps in the next 5 to 10 years there may be answers and remedies to these problems.
We wish you the best of luck with your treatment. Remember, that we are all different and for you it may be first time lucky .
It sounds like it hasn't been an easy road for you. But, like you said, at least you had one go that got you pregnant. The next one will come to term, I'm sure. Best of luck to you.
Michelle,
This was our 3rd ivf cycle & the 1st with donor/donor. Our other 2 were failed cycles with our own eggs & sperm. Although the Dr's have never been able to find any problems with either of us, we decided that donors would give us the best chance since the first 2 failed & we can't afford to keep trying. We have 3 kids of our own already & just want another baby to love. I am 5.5 weeks pg with donor/donor & praying hard every day. I get my 1st scan tommorrow. The only thing that really mattered to me wasn't what she looked like(well a little) but, that she had been successful in the past & the same for the sperm donor because like I said my husband & I look great to the Dr's with absolutely no problems & 3 kids too,but have been ttc for 6 years. Best of luck to you.
