Good Morning LAdies, just got to work from Dr's. Well, I did my 2nd scan. I need to go back again on Monday for 3rd scan and a pre-ivf exam. It's finally really happening. I'm so excited ladies... I have so much PMA about this cycle. I would be crushed if it does not work. You ladies r so lucky u have made it thru this.

Well, my US found that my follicles are growing. Some r 9mm, 11mm but most r 10mm. She said it is still kind of hard to determine exactly how many in each ovary, but for now she has countyed about 8 on my left and 6 on my right. Monday they should be bigger so maybe able to see them more clearly. They leave me a message in a voice message system that I have to check at 1pm, to see if they want me to chnge units on stims. I will check meesage in a little while. She said at the rate we are looking at a 11/20 ER.


I love this forum ladies... it gives me alot more PMA especially with all these BFPs on here.

Congrats Karin, that is wonderful news. I am so happy for you!

KKE-I was too worried about ovulating before my ER and I had gallons (sorry TMI warning) of EWCM yesterday. I started my period on Nov 1st, so the math is easy, that was CD 13. I ovulate on CD 14. So it turns out the nurse said as long as I am injecting Lupron it isn't a concern. Also, I had the CM because my E levels are over 1,000 now...I didn't ovulate as of yet, I had an u/s this morning and they are holding tight.

JDC-Don't be sad, this is a rollercoaster and I have certainly had my ups and downs through this. We are behind you.

Robin-all my best to you with your spotting, what did your RE say? I heard that dark brown is "old" blood and that is alright. I am negative RH factor and completely understand the fears of any bleeding.

So looks like I have 3 ready to go and 2 almost there so they moved my ER date up to Monday. There are a few more that are fairly small they hope will catch up. We will see...possible HCG Saturday. Then the dreaded 2ww.

I'm still going nuts in the 2WW. I'm getting more anxious as the days go by. Does everyone feel this way during the 2WW or is it a bad sign? My boobs are still really sore, but not a whole lot of cramping so far. I'm 6dp3dt.

Thanks everyone for your best wishes today!!! So, I won't keep you in suspense any longer!

I got a BFP!!!!! HOLY MOLY! I can't even believe it!!! My DH & I are so excited!

My RE said that my HCG was 44 which actually sounds a bit low to me but he didn't seem in the least concerned. I have to go back Monday for another blood test. He said if it goes up to over 200 then he won't need to see me for another week. Is that possible? To go up that much in 3 days?

I think your doctor thinks you implanted a little later than others.... I wouldn't worry.... doubling rates of HCG vary from what I understand. Mine is like every 37 hours, some people are every 48 hours and some people longer.... so I suppose your number could get up there pretty fast depending on your doubling rate.

to have fun (or anyone else who does their own PIO shots)... I'm gearing up to do my own IM shots in my "upper quadrant of my buttocks" - as my DH is going out of town for 5 days... I don't want to pay a nurse 50$ to do it every day.... so HOW do you do it for yourself... lying down, standing up with a mirror... just wondering how you check for blood... I'm awful with needles but I'm just going to have to suck it up... any tips would be sooooo helpful..... thanks!!

BFP?!?! YAY!! Thats so exciting! August will be a busy baby month!

I can't wait until Monday... This 2WW is killing me, esp now that my RE may have seen something on my US. My DH is so excited he starts jumping/dancing around when he thinks about it. Hopefully this board is good luck! (if ya'll are done with your baby dust, can i borrow all of it?)

Also, I have been having the clinic do my PIO shots but I wouldn't worry too much about the blood. Today the nurse actually said I was bleeding a lot and when I asked her about it (you know, how you are not supposed to get blood) she said that it's actually ok and the meds are still going into the muscle. Not that you want to bleed of course, but I wouldn't obsess over it... And now that I've gotten my BFP, I'm going to need my DH to start giving these to me. There's no way I'm going to the clinic every day for weeks!

Sloan - I do the shots standing up, kind of leaning on my bathroom vanity. I make sure there is no weight on the side that I am doing. It is hard to check for blood so i ususally don't worry too much about that. The nurse said that it is very unlikely to hit a vein so I just hope that I don't. I have tried to pull the plunger out a couple of time to check but it is really hard. Other then that the hard part is just trying to see. It might be easier to lay down. I never tried that. I have heard of several ladies that do their own. Good luck.

Robin - The beta # is supposed to double, I believe around every 48 hours. The doubling isn't an exact science but they want to make sure it keeps going up.

JDC - Sorry you are only seeing 3 follies right now. You still have a lot more time to stim. I am sure you will get a couple more. As for me my E2 level went up and I have a 19mm follicle so I am to be on Lupron for at least another 2 weeks. I don't think the lupron will change anything so I don't have my hopes up. By some miracle it might happen.

there are just too many girls to keep up with on this board..

The statistics are amazing over 70% BFPs.. i feel like i am unfortunatley going to bring uscloser to statistical norm.. someone has to.

Anyway i ams SOOO happy for all the girls with BFPS.. sorry for no personals but there are just too many to keep up but i am thinking of yu all..

I must start by saying that seeing all those BFP's has really lifted my spirits!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!

I am into my stims as well right now. I started Lupron on October 25 & stims (Gonal-f & Repronex) on November 8. So far everything looks good, just concentrating on those eggs growing. It looks like my retrieval will be on next Wed 11/19/08, so keeping our fingers tightly crossed that we will have beautiful looking eggs that fertilize well.

Our history: This is our 2nd IVF cycle, we did our 1st in June/July. We had 19 eggs retrieved, 11 fertilized, and 6 that looked real good up until Day 5, so much so that they pushed us for a Day 6 transfer when all but 1 had arrested. I think that ended up being more devestating for us then the BFN because we were so heartbroken and were not told to even expect that at all. I have 1 fallopian tube & the other is blocked and my hubby has slightly low mot/morph so we are doing ICSI again as well.

Wish I would have joined you ladies earlier on this thread, however, I hope everyone is doing well and wishing you all luck and baby dust for good news to share with family and friends around the holidays!

hi everyone,,
I am sad to say that my re called today and out of the three that fertilized one didn't make it. Now i am down to two. I was so down today. It rained and stormed all day too and that didn't help. I am so affraid that i will get the call in the morning telling me not to come for my transfer. Seems like my embies are dropping like flies. I am just sick about all the money and time and emotions I have invested and its gonna end the day before transfer. I will let you know tomorrow. I have to be there at 9 in the morning. Take care.
