 Hi Buds

Sorry Lola, logged off or we could have had a chinwag. Did you get my pm? St Andrews was great, the weather was good and the alcohol was flowing but as i dont drink very often i cant handle it very well. We weren'y drunk but stayed up far too late for a 36 year old and i feel shattered. Was nice to escape to a hotel for a change and enjoy some aerobics with dh  last time the embies were on board.

Little R - Please don't cry, hang in there gorgeous, not long to go until your bfp. So glad your dh will be with you, you need lots of hugs and pampering just now. Any signs or symtoms yet?? Were here to help and listen anytime.
Mini - well we have seen one which is pepper white (cream and black to you and me), it has stripes down the front and back with black wing mirrors and the reg is ZBR (zebra), cool eh. Its a bit pricy but we're going for a test drive tomorrow.

Steph - Hope your having a good weekend, the Americans seem to have a celebration for everyday of the year, lucky things. Hows the babe on board?, hope your feeling ok and enjoying every minute.

Walshy -We miss you, come back soon. Hows dh new job going, has he started yet?

Camilla - What have you been up to? Have you started decorating the nursery yet?

Am away to hit my bed early, ready for 08.30 hosp app, can you believe it's so early. Thankfully my toenails and de-fuzzing were done for the wedding so am all ready to go. Will let you know how we get on.

Take care.

 Hi girls

Well Loopy, cancel that "all be preggers by Oct 2006" thought. I have to have my tube removed and won't be able to start the Big 3 until November.
I knew they were going to say this but was still not prepared. I burst into tears and now feel so sorry for myself. They will do the op on 16th Aug and its unlikely i will get a cancellation although my op might be cancelled------warned them it better not be or there will be a mad, hormonal woman on the loose.
My left tube is curling round where the follies grow (thought they were tiny) and its still full of stupid fluid. I know its best to get rid of it but i am gutted we have to wait until Nov------------oh how i wish i was 21 again.
The worse thing is this is the tube that is slightly open and the right one is totally damaged so there is no chance of me getting a surprise bfp in the future, ivf all the way or nothing.
I will be having 3 incisions, 2 near the bikini line and 1 by my belly button, which i don't want. I don't want visable scars. I've told the doc it would be best just to take both tubes out, their bloody useless anyway and at least then i won't be in the eptopic camp WHEN i do get preggers. Whats the point of having a dud tube in that could develop hydrosalpinx in it too. We have to consent to this on the day of the op.

Lola - Did you have the same op and incisions? The doc called it a Laparoscopy but in the letter i recieved at home it says a Salpingectomy?? Did they remove 1 or 2 of your tubes before you had the eptopic preg?
Got your pm, you made me laugh as you sent it 3 times. But all i can say is DITO.

Sorry girls for being so dramatic and fed up, i feel like its never going to work for me.

Now so p****d off, i'm going to buy my mini------i think. Going to see it tomorrow or Wed hopefully.

Little R - I hope your managing to stay focused, sorry i'm not helping much. Am thinking of you lots and want you to get great news. Rooting for you all the way my lovely Bud
Me and Loopy Loops might need a lovely bit of R and R in Dubai just to cheer us up soon, we can visit your bump too

Take care,

Jen I'm sorry, yet more bloody waiting!!!

My tube story....
Last May I had a laparoscopy as part of my infertility investigations. They discovered that my tubes were a stuck down, spazzer mess and so proceded to tubal surgery to try and straighten them out and make them patent. They told me they did their best but they were such a mess that I should go directly to ivf. The operation was easy! I was out the next day on minimal painkillers - back at work a week later. I too was worried about scars at the time - complained that my belly button would never be the same again! But they were fine - can't see the 2 lateral scars and only just see the BB scar.
When I had the ectopic the surgeon was clearly having a bad day and my scars from that are not bueno but could be worse. henrich the hernia is much better! But it was done as an emergency and so bound to be different. That time they removed my right tube. I asked them to remove them both but they refused. Had an hsg after the ectopic that showed hydrosalpinx in the left tube. Dr McFertile says its small and still patent and therefore to leave as is. Don't know what he'll say this time though. I feel that its going to cause problems. Going to talk to him about it. may have the same op as you and go private to avoid waiting list. So expensive though!

Salpingectomy just means removal of salpinx (Fallopian tube), laparoscopy is the method of surgery they use to do it ie "keyhole" surgery.

Ah Jemla, go and buy the Mini! You so deserve a treat! And look at how fast this year has gone - its June already! November will be here in no time. And I'll still be around on ivf 4 :D I may even be November if I have the operation so we can be successful together! Delay the 3rd time lucky liferaft!

Have a relaxing rest of day with plenty of chocolate and a sneaky glass of vino

Take care amiga

 Thanks Lola for your help and being here for support. Your Doc explanation is really appreciated.
I feel so angry and annoyed today that we have to go through all this crap that i might pull the stupid tubes out myself :x

Anyway, had a visit to the mini garage and had a test drive of the mini cooper. Found out i can buy a new one for only £600 dearer than the second hand one, pepper white and viper stripes---------my baba will be a trendy tot in that----------when it gets here
Am now in the process of doing my Dell Boy dealings between the two garages to see what i can get for free, will keep you posted.

Catch up with you tomorrow

Oh Jen....just logged on to check in on your news.... HEAPS OF VIRTUAL HUGS for you.... I'm hugging you now...

So sorry...what a crap hand to be dealt.
Glad that Lola is around to offer her precious medical advice and experience...
I don't know what to say....just that I am really sorry and that you definitely need to go out and buy the cool mini.... I believe it will make you feel better and then you can go on mini-breaks (no pun intended! ) so the time will fly until November. I know it sounds a long way away at the moment....and it's no comfort to hear but it will be here soon. Good luck Dell boy....get the best deal!

As for Dubai and some well-deserved hols for you girls... well look me up when you get here  Wouldn't recommend visiting now though..... it's past 40°C and the heat is scary!

I'm trying to focus on something other than pee sticks and blood tests..... not sure what to think...and desperately trying not to think at all  Sometimes I wish I could go straight to cutting my head off
I have a recorded episode of Grey's to look forward to today... which is great.... one more night and the wait is over....
It's weird... in some ways I am going stir crazy and can't wait for it all to be over with and on the other hand...well, I know once tomorrow is here, well there is no turning back and I am going to have to deal with it either way...
It's as though if it's not the desired result tomorrow ....well, there's no hope left...
If that makes any sense....
Anyhoo.... more patience for the last bit of the race

Lola, I will be taking my own HPT tomorrow morning at 6h30ish.... because my clinic is really ridiculous....they do a HPT (and don't want to give you the results because you can't trust the result completely) and then do a blood test. I have to wait until mid-afternoon for the results of the blood test.
Last time, they gave me the HPT result anyway and told me it was BFN.... as they read it wrong... so I am not taking any chances tomorrow. I am going to do my own to give me an idea....
What type of HPT should I buy? Any recommendations?

I promise to give you the answer as soon as I know for the blood test...probably before 12pm your time....
It may be a one worder if it's not what we want....so forgive me in advance...

MUCH LOVE to you all.... my Octoshines.... hope you're all well

Ahoy! :D

R I know exactly what you mean - you want the day to come just to stop the agonising but also don't want it to come because then you know for sure. I am so sure you will be pregnant!!! I will it!! :D :D :D I'll be logging in from 9 onwards - have a clinic tomorrow morning, interviews in the afternoon - man! is soooo exciting!!!!
Enjoy Greys today and its stupid to say but I'll say it anyway, don't worry! It will all work out for you this time - I know it!

Jemla - hope your negotiations are going well, you'll soon be zooming about in your flash new motor :D

steph are you still on memorial day or whatever? post I demand of thee!

Donde esta La Walsher??

Well, it aint ESP but you all know what I'm up to today  I am actually enjoying it at the moment - I have entered the self delusionary state that will hopefully keep me in delightful ignorance of my chances of passing until I am faced with the papers on Monday 12th. Life will be back to normal by July - hoorah!!!
I have stupid virus or something - sore throat, muscle aches etc etc Image
It better vamoosh, need all my energy to celebrate R's bfp tomorrow

OK my lovely ladies, I'm off - will check in later

HI best girls!

Let's start with you shall we......

Jens- so sorry that tube is craps and you have to have surgery. Hugs from me to you noodle. As I do not have experience with this I have no words of wisdom or great comforting thoughts, except this.... I had 2 laps for endo and LolaBean is right on the money.. the scars are no biggie. Belly button is most noticeable, but if the surgeon is tops, it will be teeny tiny. I think you should go on great summer excursion to pass the time until your November month of luck!

Littles- tommorrow!!!!! oh what fun you will have tommorrow when you get your BFP. I get all tingly warm fuzzy thinkin about it! Wishin my gal monster truck luck! Whoosin the dust.....

Lolster "my head is going to explode with all this knowledge"- I hope you are atleast having fun in your dreams... maybe some fancy affair with ultra sexy secret agent who has come to rescue you from study boredom doom.. he lands on top of the library and searches you out.... later, the stacks start to jostle about.....oohhhh... I must stop now as I am on a no sex order from doc... a written note even! all my married girlfriends with kids want a photocopy....

Walshy- missin your chillin...

As for me... cloud 9 has evaporated and has been taken over by fog of stress... I am very scared for ultrasound tommorrow. I keep having flashbacks from my last pregnancy and the second ultrasound was ultrasound of doom with no baby to be found. I am trying very hard not to be stressed as I know it is bad for the baby and I know it doesn't change what will happen anyhow. All the same, I am still having trouble sleeping
( I was up at 2am last night and was stuck watching Turner and Hooch... desperate times and all that), get nervous at every twinge and cramp and get nervous when I don't feel a twinge or cramp!! I am driving myself utterly mad! Let's just say that tommorrow at this time I will feel a lot better.. my ultrasound is scheduled for 7am. So, tommorrow will be a good day.. I get to see that my baby is fine and Littles gets her BFP! Please, don't be mad at me for the rant. I know I am the extremely lucky one... but you girls are my only lifeline to this world and i needed a vent.

Happy thoughts only (well trying  )

She cedes to my demands!! :D :D

Steph of course you are worried, after what you've been through before but it really is all going to be ok this time!! "Little Steph" will be seen beating its heart madly and waving in a subtle fashion from its cosy home! :D Tomorrow will indeed be an excellent day in the mundo of Ober!!! I of course expect you to post as soon as feasibly possible after the scan to give us the good news......
I so know how you feel though - before i got the bfn in april I thought that if it was positive I couldn't cope with the extra wait for the scan after last times awfulness, I was almost relieved it was a negative - I was petrified of going through that again. SO, I am sending all my strength and positivity to you.
Hmmm, desk day dream you minx.....sitting in the old library surrounded by towers of books, dust motes static in the ray bleak sunshine hitting the desk where we find our heroine, bespectacled and hair straying from her demure but practical bun. Suddenly a shadow is cast over her work, she glances up to see suited latino hero staring at her, he takes off her glasses and tucks a tendril of hair behind her petite ear.... "run away with me..." he whispers huskily. "No", says our heroine, I really must learn about welding hazards so can you get out of my light?

Stay calm dude - karma owes us a few

Oh Lolers....
You make me laugh with your crazy wit! I luv the heroine chose her books over a quick romp with dashingly handsome McAgent. She must have hormones of steel, either that or she prefers another heroine in her story

Feel free to entertain me all day. I am quite bored at work now that I am trapped in the office and no longer allowed to roam free with wind in my hair and nature under my feet!

Well, I am off to lunch and some quality smut reading as my usual gal pal lunch partner is out and about with wind in her hair......

So long, fair well....

Ladies sorry I havn't posted for a while bit busy with going back to work etc etc I am trying to get my head around this whole work thing, I think I am a lady of pleasure and that my husband can support me, but then I will get to bored.

Jen I am sorry that your tube is kapput. Damn it we seem to get one leg up in the good news stakes and then one leg back. Like Lola said I will also probably be onto round 4 when you can go again and it is already June so it will come around quickly. (i know you want it now) We will all have so much patience when we have children and rather than telling them to do something we will be all relaxed and chilled about it. And a mini as well, nice. You can go out and pick up Marky Mark from the funky bunch like in Italian Job yum yum yum.... (Or DH I'm sure he is your Marky Mark and your his Charlise Theronl)

Little R - I am so sorry I have neglected you in your 2ww. I feel guilty I have had all intentions to log on i have actually had this site opened for the last 24 hours trying to log on but got side tracked with my husbands DIY attempts in our kitchen, I don't have the heart to tell him he can't do it, he feels very manly doing stuff like that. It is already the 31st here so by the time I get up tomorrow you would already have your BFP results.....I am crossing everything for you that this is your time you deserve this.

Study Avoider AKA Lola - How is all the studying going??? I am hoping that you are lapping up all those pages of information Buffy style. Are you going to be like Dr Dorian or Dr Turk from Scrubs... I love that show do you watch it?

Steph - You will also have some results for me by the time I wake up...yay it is going to be a good sleep. Maybe I will dream about all you girls do you want long or short legs  This is a little emotional hurdle that you and your DH will have to get through with the emotions resurfacing from the last ultrasound but I am sure everything will be fine. The baby is still nestled up there growing bigger and bigger. Are you going to find out the sex? Do you have names picked out. This is so exciting our very own Octoberoonie that is pregnant. By the way who needs wind in their hair when you have baby in tum....

Camilla how are you doing? You havn't logged on for a while whats new with you.

Me nothing to report started taking my herbs this morning. It tasted awful a bit like dirty water with bits of grass and for that extra splash of freshness a celery stick..... It is dark brown so it is an attractive colour as well. My dh likes his new job (thank god) so all is smooth sailing for saving fro next round and weightloss for next cycle in August. I am going to have to log on tomorrow before I go to work to get the results from both Little R and Steph.....it's going to be a good day.....
Cheers, Angela
