Angela how was your ultrasound today can't wait to see the results. Ok now I see your baby is doing good. Oh how releived I am... you must be over the wall too. Thank God. Glad you took the decision to stay on your Xanax... that is great news. You are doing so good girl hang in there you will have your baby at the right time nice and healthy you will see.

gi - so finished work until next May amazing baby is going to be nice and snuggling in there good for you!!!

claud - the picture is NOT framed yet... this is the montage I do before sending it back to the photographer so I know the picture will be the way I want when it's printed. They print them on a hard mount so I will probably get a 24x24 or large to put in my livingroom ... yes it was all worth it. Thanks.

Glad the news is out and you can actually enjoy your pregnancy in public now... that is the best feeling... you and I are now in the 2nd trimester along with our other friend who did a 3/10 so it's less risky now... it's good we made it that far already.

steph - actually I did several tests and the only one saying girl is the first one... the lab pee one (urobiologic) also said boy!!! So I will definitely have to wait for the anatomy scan to know. My dh asked when is that going to be I said 20w and he said how far are you... I said 13w so he said wow another 2 months... so it's going to be long for us ;)

so you had a good scan but not seen well can't wait for your next one then... too bad he says he might not see the gender. I thing he could see it by then?? So no sex hey!! well after won't be much either poor you :)

katie - so funny you were surprised at the "GIRL" result... that is cool. True all tests are all just for fun... I read somewhere that the only one that is almost always correct is the needle and tread one... so today I found my sewing stuff and I will do it again... So you are like me now I had all my girl name's picked out but now it's a boy... so back to square one. Can't wait to see the scan...

Yes my tests didn't help me at all... actually they confised me more then anything. And the picture boy I am so trilled with it yes, now the teens can move on and I at least have one perfect picture with them in it ;)

AFM - I finally got mad and took care of the garage last night. So I arranged everything my dh had just thrown in there any place with no more room to go or get anything. It took me like 4 hrs and so today I told him he has to move the untouched boxes in the garage and I will get to them when I have time. I mean there was no way we could continu living with boxes all over the place and have the entrances and closets blocked off. So he was not happy but did it with a smile. So I also bugged him to move the furniture downstairs where it goes so I can finish and find room put put boxes I can't unpack for now etc. So I am hoping he will do that this week... in the end I said ok now all you got to do after that is finish the kitchen... we have a very small kitchen so that is a challenge...

I also filled up the baby pool today so the kids could play in it they really had fun. I even put Jamie in it... he was not sure but seamed to be refreshed by it... it was a very hot day and didn't like to be outside at all today. And yesterday we also got dirth and baby rose plants and we planted 2 red, 2 pink and one orange baby rose... they are so cute... And all the plants everyone gave me for mothers day too. So we look at bit decent outside now ;) the neighbourgh liked it...

So the people for the house finally got their keys today even though we still don't have our money until tuesday or Wed but my mom was there to meet them and apparently they were still so exited and so happy. The lady was screeming and everything... it was nice to hear that we made someone so happy!!! So although it was long and painful... in the end it's all good.

Thanks everyone for the comments on the picture and for supporting me on everything too.

Have a good week.

Katie- wooo whooo! Team Pink! That's such exciting news! Now you can starting planning and buying! So much easier when you know the gender! My OB thinks both of mine are girls, too. DH doesn't want to know so I can't really buy too much pink or else I'm in biggggg trouble. hehehehe. So happy all looks healthy for baby and you. Big hug!

Helene - I never said they might not know on Friday. I said in the previous posts they might not find out at my ob appt yesterday though. lol And of course they didn't even look. OB actually said as he was walking out I should be able to know by Friday at the scan. :) I thought the cabbage test result was girl for you too? You also said you did a ring test (I think it was) and it said girl? With the blood test I assumed that's why you have been saying girl this whole time. lol Maybe you took the blood test too early? You could try it again now that you are further along and see what it says if you don't want to wait 2 months? Yes no sex, but there will be sex after the window, I will make sure of it. lol I will be busy with twins but I will find time for that. ;)

Karen - How are you? Where is your update? :)

Hope - I am guessing we might not see you till school is over at this point. :) Hope all is well!

Positive - Where have you been? Come back and say hello, let us know how things are going. :)

Ktelise and Ronda - Hope the m/s is subsiding. Would like to hear how you two are doing too!

The cabbage test first trial gave me a boy so I did it again and I got a girl...
the ring test I got a girl but I will redo it tonight cause I was kinda shaking a bit and didn't really do it properly that's the test that never fails in the forums I read.
The one that gave me a girl is the Urobiologic the $325 dollars test and they say you can do it as soon as you find out you are pg.
the other one was the "Tell me Pink or Blue" $275 dollars and they told me a BOY. I was hoping both expensive tests would reveal a girl
then I did the one you just did and gave me a boy but that test is really just a gimmic they say on the forums
and then I did the drano test and it gave me a girl but the results are really badly quoted they give all kinds of colors thus contracticting themselves.

So based on the purchased one I have one girl result and 2 boy ones. So I am waiting for another one that you girls could try, they give you a free test and you only have to pay shipping of 9.99 US if you do the online survey... So I ordered that one it is exactly like the one you did the other day... So we shall see.

Maybe I will get another U/S before week 20 and be able to know before :) I am so impatient

Helene – It sounds like you are finally organizing everything at your new house but remember not to overdo it? I am glad the kids had fun the pool!

Oh, those tests have confused all of us haven’t they? Some said boy and others say a girl for you! So I guess we will have to find out at your anatomy scan.

Stephanie – Ok, Friday is the day that we will know what you are having … that is so exciting! And, if you go on Friday and he says he can’t tell you or some other excuse, you tell him your on-line friends are waiting to know the results … lol!

Katie – Ok, so since you know it’s a girl … how much shopping have you done or are preparing to do?

Gi – So this is your first day away from work … enjoy every minute of it!

Claudia – How does it feel now that your wonderful secret is out?

Babyluv – How are you and the twins feeling?

Natakia – I hope you are doing well. We haven’t heard from you for a few days. How is the spotting?

Karen – Your DH has so much self-control … I would have to know what I am having. Did your OB do a gender u/s yet or is he/she just guessing?

Hazel – I hope all is well with you and your father!

AFM - I had a pretty good day at work today but I am so happy it is over and I am finally at home relaxing. I feel such a relief that yesterday’s u/s went well now I have to wait 2 more weeks before another scan.

Wow - I think I finally may "feel" pregnant. I was out all day in hot, hot weather trying to reseed the lawn on the side of the house, I went really slow and tried to keep the bending to a minimum - but oh boy I am wiped out! The last 2 hrs I had to keep taking little breaks. I cant get over how exhausted I feel. Jeez and here I'm thinking that it will no problemm to paint the whole deck by myself?

So I got a letter from my OB today saying that heis leaving medicine to "pursue other interests" huh? I guess that I cant be too upset since it is a medical group and they told me that I have to see all 4 OBs in their group so you wont feel like you get a stranger to deliver you. Its a shame though, i really did like this OB - ( even though most of BOTH appts with him revolved around me answering all kinds of ivf questions) I have an appt friday with the only female OB (which I prefer) so I guess I'll be "teaching" her all about ivf too - ha ha Well I guess now I only have to shuttle between 3 OBs

Steph - Ugh - sorry that you had a prehistoric sono machine! I would have been disappointed also. At least you've got another one on Friday and that will most likely give you the genders of your babies!! I'm so excited to hear! Argh! for what he said about the placenta being marginal - Thank God you only have a few days to wait to have a specialist"s opinion. Bless you for still having a sex drive _ I think that we ars both still too nervous to even think about naked time
I'll keep everything crossed for your friday appt  We always have appts on the same day - or real close. Have you felt any more movement?

Angela - YAY for a great scan and almost being released!!! I feel like "is everything measuring on schedule"? is like my first question every u/s I have
Therea just such a feeling of relief when they say yes, isnt there? So Xanax for a bit longer then? Whatever keeps the baby happy, right? But I bet that will be the slowest weaning when its time. So happy for you!

Hazel - I'm hoping that your midwife appt finds her to be in a better mood than she was last time! UGH who needs a grumpy midwife really? How are things with your Dad?

Karen - Thanks! If you want to know you will soon enough. When is your anatomy scan booked for? does your DH really want to wait until the delivery to find out? How will you keep it from him ? I couldnt wait at all - hee hee I barely was able to wait for the anatomy scan itself! How are you feeling?

Helene - Be careful lifting too many boxes, please. I know how you feel, this is a small house too and you have to have everything stored or it would feel cluttered and I hate clutter. So now you have too many different answers from these tests - ugh! If you really, really cant wait til 20 wks I know that here you could pay out of pocket for a private scan - but I dont know how much that would run, I've heard that they have these 3-D and $-D scans so further along you could even see your baby's facial features - I think that sounds too cool

here is the only u/s pic that I liked yesterday - it sort of looks like she's praying, doesnt it?

oh Angela - I am so glad baby is ok again I got to say it. You are lucky to get so many scans. I wish I would see baby more often I still don't feel anything and my boobs are not getting any bigger ... don't even feel pg at all??

yes the tests did not help me so a few more weeks and lets hope we see it at the anatomy scan ;)

katie - so you finally feel pg way to go girl. So you are were thinking of painting the deck you are working way too hard girl... you are almost half way there you got to preserve yourself girl :) glad you finally feel pg though :)

And don't worry I am not lifting boxes I got dh to do that. I only did like 2 to move them a bit around that's it. And then just empty them so no bad lifting ;)

oh your little baby is so cute... she is amazing congrats again. I will try and get a scan to see the gender soon but here we don't pay for them so I have to kinda convince the OB but I will only see him/her on June 9th so surely not until then. But I am just glad this baby IPS (NT) scan was normal so that is a big releif :)

And how is everyone else doing today?

I did the needle and tread gender test today and it gave me BOY 3 times :)

Helene

Cute bump there katie that's about how I look if I don't hold my other pregnancies' fat from the top :)

hi all. I feel like I am finally back in the land of the living. The m/s is almost all gone and I am feeling much better! Had OB appt last week and OB said he was not going to send me for my 3-D scan! I was like WTF??? I told him I wanted the scan and needed to know if the baby was going to be healthy or have problems, so I could at least be prepared. He agreed to order the scan after my next OB appt on 6/17. I was rather a Bitc* to the nurse. She bopped in and said we need to do your pap test and test you for infectious diseases!. I told her, no, you are not testing me for infectious, I was tested for everything under the sun before getting pg and I don't believe I need a pap but every 2 years (never had any issues). She kinda looked and me and must have briefed the doc, because he knew all about it when he came in. He agreed there was no reason to do any testing or a pap (THANK YOU!) It just aggravates me that no one bothers to read the chart and see all those tests (other than the pap) had already been done in December.

Katie,

GO TEAM PINK!!!!! Its really nice once you know the sex, then you can plan!. Glad to hear you are finally feeling pg, will have to wait to get home to see your pics, work computer won't load them.

Hazel,

hope you are good and praying your dad gets better news than expected.

Steph,

hope DH cools it and gets the help he needs (and doesn't get in trouble for missing appt). Hope you are feeling well.

Gi,

still itchy? Sounds like a blessing your old job is gone, I know it will be harder financially, but now you can concentrate on you and your baby.

Angela,

Glad to hear everything was fine at the scan. It sucks when you have to wait another 2 weeks to see your bean again. Remember to take it easy!

lou,

I was wondering how you are doing. I hope your testing gives you some closure and an idea of what happened. I think of you often and miss you on here. Enjoy your vaca, maybe your baby dancing will pay off and you will be pg! Do you need any progesterone (the vjj insert kind? I have some I can send you if you need it)

Sorry for all I missed, gotta get back to work!

Afternoon ladies, hope you're all doing OK.

Steph - if you are feeling flutters and soft bumps than it definitely sounds as if the twins are making themselves known! Only two more sleeps until you find out what you've got cooking in there, so exciting! Is your DH starting to be more connected to the babies now? I showed my DH a passage in one of the baby books which says that round about now (25 weeks ish) the baby can hear things happening in the 'outside world' and will be able to identify both its parents' voices - DH seemed really interested, so I've told him he needs to start talking to Zorba! Maybe your DH will start bonding more once he knows whether you're having boys/girls/one of each?

Tammy - it's so good to hear from you and to hear that you have a plan of action. I'll keep everything crossed that you get a wonderful anniversary present by POAS today! Happy anniversary!

lou - honey, I think about you all the time still, thank you for checking in with us. I hope you and DH have a relaxing trip to Europe, I think it will do you the world of good to completely get away and spend time together.

claudia - did you have a good w/e at the graduation? Good luck for your appointment tomorrow, will you get another scan?

angela - yay for a great u/s on Monday! It's good that he agrees that you should stay on the Xanax, it would obviously worry you to try and start weaning off it again given that your 'angry cervix' clearly wasn't happy about it before. You'll be almost finished with the first trimester by your next appointment!

gi - have you got a date for your next appointment yet? Will it include a scan? Hope you enjoyed the gorgeous weather over the weekend - I have to admit, even though I'm normally a bit of a sun worshipper, it was actually a little too hot for my liking. I'm really hoping we don't get a heatwave over the summer when I'm even bigger, or it's going to be really uncomfortable... Sorry to hear about the job situation, but I honestly believe that these things happen for a reason. I lost my job about two years ago, just at the time when I was having to start what seemed like constant appointments for scans/blood tests/procedures, not to mention semi-bed rest during 2ww's, and I would never have been able to juggle it all without getting stressed out. Plus I've discovered I actually enjoy being a housewife, and I can't wait to be a full time Mum! Make sure you enjoy the rest while you can, because you'll be running around after a little one soon...

Ronda - woo hoo for saying goodbye to m/s, isn't it a joy? Sounds like your timing is a bit like mine - I gradually improved from weeks 13 to 16 and then at week 16/17 I noticed that I hadn't felt sick for a while and had my energy back. You're heading into the easy fun bit now!

katie - yippee for team pink! What a beautiful picture of your little girl! You and DH must be so excited to have found out what you're having! Are you spreading the news or only telling a few people? p.s. Naughty girl, working outside in the garden in hot weather, no wonder you 'felt' pregnant afterwards!

AFM, I saw unhelpful midwife again this morning and everything looks OK. She was still unhelpful but now that I can feel Zorba moving around so much, I'm no longer so nervous about how he/she is doing, so it doesn't matter so much that my midwife seems totally incapable of being nice and calming! My stomach measures exactly at 25 cm, apparently, and the heartbeat was nice and strong. My blood pressure is still fairly low, but no lower than before, so that's fine. My next appointment (would you mind updating me in the list, katie?) is Wednesday 16th June when I'll be 28 weeks.

Thanks to all of you who have been thinking of my family. The update is that Dad is now waiting to get an appointment to have the growth biopsied (he's been told it should be sometime in the next couple of weeks), but he got called into the hospital last Friday and saw a liver & pancreas specialist who once again made sure that Mum & Dad know that it's likely to be bad news. We already know that it's inoperable, which I think pancreatic cancer quite often is, but in this case it's also because the tumour has encased itself around a couple of major blood vessels, so they couldn't have a go at taking it out even if they wanted to. In terms of prognosis, we should know more in a couple of weeks once the results of the biopsy come back and we find out if it has spread (and if so how far), but the doctor said that we are looking at a couple of months (worst case scenario) to maybe a maximum of a year (best case scenario). We will also know after the biopsy whether chemo or radiotherapy are likely to help slow the growth for a few months (pancreatic cancer is also fairly aggressive from what I can gather) and then Dad will need to decide whether to have treatment or, depending on what timeframe we're talking about, whether to just let it take it's course. Mum & Dad are both being pretty amazing and talking about how they are going to make the most of whatever time they have left, and not wallow around being depressed. But I think we all just want to have a more definite idea of what timescale we are talking about, so that we know what we can/can't plan - I know that one huge thing for Dad is whether he'll be around in September to meet his first grandchild. We're all holding it together generally speaking for the time being, but as you can imagine, thinking about whether your father is still going to be around to meet your first baby in a few months' time is not great for a hormonal pregnant woman - once the waterworks start, it's difficult to stop!

Take care everyone,

Hazel - glad baby is fine and you can feel him/her now... so re-assuring. Sorry you still don't know about dad's biopsy that a drag... I hope it's not what they think. True pancreas cancer is bad... but my uncle got that and with chemio he is ok now... not sure if it can come back but he is ok I was told now??

Good luck with everything.

Hi Ladies,

Hazel-I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I can't imagine what that is like and I truly hope and pray that he makes it to meet his grandbaby. Please try and take care of yourself and enjoy the time he has left. I'm glad that your apt went well!! Are you going to pay for a privte apt to find out the gender?

Katie-your baby girl is beautiful!!! Try not to overdue it in the sun since they say pregnant women's body temperature rises a lot quicker and keep yourself hydrated!! Your baby bump will be a beach ball in no time!!!

Steph-can't wait to hear about your apt on Friday!!! Sorry you had such a bad scan the other day-I hate when it's all blurry and you can't tell what is what!!

Ronda-so glad to hear your m/s has subsided!! that must be a relief! What's new with you?

AFM...I announced to my students on FB yesterday about the baby and they are all excited!!! The girls all want to throw me a baby shower and they can't wait when I can bring the baby to youth group events!!! It was a lot of fun to share the news. I also went to the gym for the first time in MONTHS which was really nice!! I can't wait to get back into a schedule so I feel a little bit toned throughout the pregnancy!! I am going on Saturday maternity shopping with MIL and can't wait to get some cute/trendy clothes!!! I will post a baby bump pic later today or tomorrow :D

Claudia - That's great that the news is spreading! I love shopping but maternity shopping seems to be more fun for me. There is a shop in the mall called Motherhood that has such awesome styles, I can't wait to go there! Maybe after payday if we can afford anything. lol I am still fitting in my one size bigger jeans but I know that shouldn't last too long. I am surprised they still fit, but then again I didn't expect them to feel so much bigger when I got them. I normally shop in Juniors because of my height (or lack of). lol So when I bought these pants in womans, it was a big difference. Sometime soon I will be posting baby bump pics. Maybe Friday with an u/s pic. :)

Hazel - After seeing the blury babies move around Monday and getting some questions answered by OB I think Andrew is becoming a little more connected. I am sure once he can feel them move it will be more real to him. I know he is excited to know the genders. Ever since the gender pee test he has been asking, How are my sons? I told him not to put too much into the pee test. lol We can hope there is at least one in there though. Time seems to be going so slow this week. lol But you're right, just two more sleeps! I am going to take a cd with me as well as ask the doc for a still pic of each gender. I can put them in the baby book as the first blackmail pictures.
So sorry to hear about your dad. It is horrible that they aren't giving you much hope. With the new technology and science these days you would think they had some options. Like clamping the vessels cutting and reconnecting them after the mass is removed. Everyone seems to be doing so srtong. My mother lived with ovarian cancer for 2 years before she passed. I was pregnant at the time too. She was taking me to almost every appt and so happy to be a part of it. She died just 20 days before she was born. Everyone thought the stress would bring baby early but nope, kept her in for an extra 2 weeks. I think everyone is being so strong in thinking about plans now even without a diagnosis. No matter how much you prepare for the worst, it still hits you like a ton of bricks. I just wish your dad all the luck in the world and that no matter what the diagnosis, he gets to see his first grandchild! I am sure he will do whatever he can to make sure he will!

Ronda - Awesomeness that the m/s is finally letting go of you! Sorry to hear about the ob visit though. If the testing wasn't needed, why did they even try to take them? Now a days paps aren't needed but every 2 years and infectiouns? Boy they need to pay attention. Also with the u/s, waiting another month is torture for us IVFers. Don't they at least pull in the portable u/s so you can see baby? Don't these people know how important it is we see our babies?? I suppose I am lucky in a way to be having twins. My ob doesn't want to mess with the doppler so he uses the u/s each visit. Though he doesn't note HR which I think is odd. I thought they wrote those things down each month? No, he just makes sure they are beating and I guess that is good enough, but then I think... what if the HR is low or too high? I guess it wouldn't be like us not to worry about something huh? lol Maybe I can find that stuff out Friday. :)

Katie - YAY for baby bump! You are really showing now... so not only are you feeling pg, you are looking pg! Is DH all over your belly yet? You know my story with Andrew... he is a bit reluctant but slowly feeling better about trying to bond. He isn't talking to them yet but to keep asking me how his sons are doing. lol Is your belly feeling nice and heavy yet? I can feel it now when I turn over at night from side to side and also when I stand up too long. I feel like an old fart not being able to be on my feet too long. I did get one of those belly bands that help hold the belly underneath. I was walking through the mall when I got my bra and my lower belly was cramping. So I stopped into Motherhood and looked around. First I tried on those big elastic bands... those held nothing in at all! Then I saw this belt looking thing and tried it and it worked! So now I can wear it when I know I will be up and around on my feet for long periods of time. It should help from now on!

Oh and cute baby pic... she is adorable already! :) I feel movement every now and then. It isn't often but when it happens I am more sure that it is them now. I pay attention too. lol After I eat and lay down at night, there is a 50% chance I will feel something. Turns out to be about 2 times a day but just a flutter or two then it's gone. When I was typing to you last was the most active I have felt yet. I am hoping that will keep up! :)

Katie- I'm like you. I definitely feel pregnant. I've slowed down alot and can only do things in "spurts" of time. The other day I went to two stores to look at cribs and by the time I got home it took all the energy that I had left to make it to my bed for a nap! I'm heading to the OB tomorrow for a check-up before we leave for a vacation on Friday. I asked him at my last appt (9 days ago) if he wanted to see me before my trip or after. He said before just to make sure all is ok (since I'll be 4 hours away). Also at my last appt he looked at the babies anatomy to see if he could confirm their gender. He said both are girls. But I'm holding out that maybe he is wrong for one of them. I'll have him check again tomorrow. But he said he was very confident he was correct. I understand my DH's desire to wait until the birth...and if we were having one I'd go along with it. But with two I just can't see how we are going to plan. So I'm buying some girl stuff and just hiding it. Other stuff I've been getting is gender neutral. It sucks not to be able to really plan, but I respect my DH's wishes. So a surprise for him it will be!

Steph- No real updates here for me. Just another OB appt tomorrow before we leave on vacation. I've been feeling quite decent for the third day now. I'm hoping this will be the usual for awhile!!!! I'm still waiting to feel the babies move. It isn't obvious to me. My OB said by 20 wks it should be obvious. Like Katie said...how can they be moving that much on the sonogram and I not feel a thing! My babies were even weighing a bit above average 9 days ago...on at 6 oz and one at 7oz. I called them my little fatties. hehehe

Karen - Little fatties... that's funny! I said the same thing when the ob measured one to be a week ahead. He remeasured though and Baby A is bigger but only by a day at the time. So how big is your belly measuring? I have been so curious to get any info from my fellow twin mommies on belly size! lol At 16w4d they measured me at 26cm. Your ob should be measuring fundal height by now right?
