Hello all!!

I am new here. My name is Gina, I'm 35. DH and I have been ttc #2 for just over 11 years. We have a son that is 11 1/2 and we started trying again pretty soon after he was born. I had no help getting pregnant with him but it did take around a year.

We've done two IUI's and about 9 tries with Clomid. We have decided to go for IVF this time. Not only because of our age and trying so long but the money too. Rather put it all towards IVF. We are in Germany (husband is military) and we've thought about going to a country nearby but paying that Euro rate is horrible for something so expensive.

Right now I'm just gathering info so I can learn more about it from others. In a couple of months we'll start Doctor visit and go from there, so probably won't start our IVF Journey for several months, gotta save! Hope you all don't mind me joining in anyway!

Oh and we are going to go through Shady Grove if savings go as planned. It seems they have the best package for the cost! kinda nervous about it because I have heard not so good experiences when it comes to the Dr's and Nurses..If anyone has gone through them I would LOVE to hear from you! My in laws are from MD so it would be even better.

Sky- I go to center for reproductive medicine in Minneapolis, right by abbott. My doctor is Dr. Colleen Casey. So far I have been happy with her. My first cycle failed but this one is going well. Good luck, which clinic is your doctor at? I'm not familiar with all the names. Also if you are on Follistim , Menopur, or Vivelle let me konw I have a lot of left over meds and would hate to see them go to waste. It would be easy to just give them to you if you want them. 1200 units of follistim, 2 vials of menopur and 1.5 boxes of vivelle.

Tuffy- hi, same clinic (lol) Center for reproductive medicine in Mn.. Im so happy that this cycle is going well for you. I hope mine will also.. I will be taking Follistim , Vivelle, Endometrin, and Bravelle. Wow you have a lot left over, that is so nice of you to offer I have 600 units of the follistim and was needing to get another 900 units so that would be wonderfu , thank you so muchl!!!
did you give yourself the hcg shot or did someone do it for you? Im kind of freakin about it , I dont know if I can give it to myself and dh Is no help in this department (lol) I tried to hire a nurse to give it and i called the mayo and olmstead clinic but all said no so like i said Im kind of freakin.

Sky-I know the whole injection thing may seem very scary. As a nurse I can tell you that all of the injections that you will be doing, with the exception of the Hcg trigger are all SQ injections. The needles are all very small and you van literally close your eyes and just stick yourself because they needle is not going to go anywhere but right underneath the skin. You van mess up the injection and for the most part they don't hurt at all. If I remember correctly, the Follistim burns a tiny bit but that's it. It goes away immediately. You'll do great dont worry.

Just keeping you ladies up to date. I'm of course POAS every morning. Just want to see the line get darker. I know of course that the little pink line is no guarantee, as I learned last cycle but it just makes me feel a little better. I vant believe that Beta is already on Monday. I'm wondering what my number is going to be like this time. I'll be sure to let you guys know as soon as I hear. I just pray that everything goes well this time. I pray that my Beta doubles the way it needs to, that we have a healthy pregnancy, and bring home a happy healthy baby. I will continue to pray for all of you. I wish you all a great weekend. Sunshine-I see your also online. How are you doing? I am praying so hard that your thyroid level is withing normal range when you have you blood work this coming week. It's raining so hard here today. It's awful. DS football game and DSD Cheerleading all got cancelled today because of the rain. I guess we will just be staying in today and watch some movies. How are things in the Florida panhandle today?

Congratulations once again WeHaveHope, you're spreading hope to so many of us too! Thanks for asking...My SIl texted me this morning telling me she trying to give me a little space but if I ever need anyone to talk to she's here too. I love her so much because she truly cares and know it's not her fault that we lost our baby while she went on to have a healthy son. But still it's bittersweet and it's all I can think about when I'm around her baby. They are planing the Thanksgiving/ 1st Birthday party the week before Thanksgiving. I told her I need to wait to see what my doctor says on Wednesday and get back with her. It might be best to start another cycle and just stay here I really hope he gives us the "green light."

My mom also called this morning wanting to come and visit me the first weekend in November. My mom drives me a bit crazy...She said she wants to give me some money for the nursery, I'm like Mom I still have many hurtles to get through before I can even start thinking about a nursery. I know she means well, but it's still annoying. I want to so badly start planning and decorating but dh doesn't want me to, he won't even let me look at baby stuff at WalMart...I think in some way he's trying to protect me.
