Hope/Ashley and Kimber Baby - that's great! Congrats! I know how tough it is to be on pins and needles, waiting for the call to come in for a transfer, just hold on a bit more!

Lou - 8dpo is WAAAAYYYY too early! I know you always want to know as soon as could possibly be possible - but keep up the PMA and try again in a few days! I'm sorry you are lonely - but sometimes watching TV by yourself is fun. Treat yourself to something yummy.

Jeib- My trigger (subQ) have never been a problem. Doesn't even sting anymore than the Follistim. Congrats!

Amanda 1979---- uh oh, "tomorrow" doesn't help me! What date? :D Congrats! How many will you transfer?

Kristin - I didn't want to scare you about twins. Most people have twins just fine (check out the parents after treatment - so many women have twins). Just some of us don't (me, Karen (the scorpio), Angela). People doing IVF think that twins is a great idea - 2 for the price of 1 - but it's really not. ----- We are very interested in adopting, but it's such a difficult process. I live in Israel, so our two choices are international adoption (which is SOOOOO expensive!) and domestic adoption (which is only available through the government). We applied to adopt through the government - we have our first meeting with a social worker next Monday! Any advice on what to say/not say? :D (and my own mother is adopted, so I understand how an adoptive family is your real family. It's amazing how much my mom is like her mother - but don't tell her that!)

Lauren - I totally understand the reservations of adopting an older child. We also want to adopt a baby, not an older child. I know that the older children need real parents even more than the babies, but I'm just not prepared for that.

Tiger - Whenever we saw a cute baby, before we were TTC, I would ask DH "dont' you want one?" He would jokingly say "do you want *that* one?".... but now it's not such a joke. You read that story about that woman kidnapped as an infant, and kinda understand why the kidnapper did it. Sometimes I see children in strollers left unattended and fantasize for a moment.... Even worse is when I see kids whose parents don't care so much (most people here put their rear-facing carseats in the passenger seat! If you don't want your kid, why can't I have him? Ugh... I ask people I know who do that haven't they heard that the airbag can suffocate the rear-facing child, they respond that they turned off the airbag ---- what geniuses!)

deftonesmo - welcome back! I'm sorry to hear you got delayed because of a cyst. That sucks.

-Sherry - did I miss your ER? crazy! I moved you down to ER/ET in progress --- let me know if I'm wrong!

AFM --- hmmm.... spotting stopped. I knew it was too early for AF, but now I'm worried. What if I don't get AF? ugh. I hate this part (like so many parts of this journey).... I'm going to the bathroom and wiping obsessively. AF shouldn't arrive until Monday - but I'm dying already! Come on!

TMI- but I had to share with someone! - I think I caught the exact moment my period started! I felt some cramping, and decided to be obsessive and check... so I went to the restroom - hurrah! Lots and lots of red, red blood. I put a pantyliner and let's hope this continues!

Leora, I sure hope that's an AF for you! Lets get the show on the road!

Nwquiz, yeaaaah, c'mon AF!!

This endometrin is soo not the business! I'd rather take those subQ shots again. Still, no IMs for me. I guess I'll just have to manage. btw, mine are supposed to be taken 3 times/day. I'm spacing it out by taking it every 4 hours. Is that long enough or should I stretch it out longer? Any advice?

Lauren - it's endometrin vaginal suppositories for progesterone support to help the implantation. They have me on the suppositories instead of the PIO shots. And what a messy med it is! I've had to bust out my pads again, unfortunately.

Hi Ladies - just crashing here -

Lou - I know so many have said it already, but it's way too early! I've been thinking of you and praying every night so you just give that embie a little more time to surprise you. ((HUGS))

Tiger - I don't crash much but know that I read every day and I'm cheering you on constantly!

Leora - I've been not-so-patiently waiting for your AF to officially arrive so I can follow your cycle. And I'm so excited that you got the adoption process rolling too.

Tammy - Your follies are rocking this time! I'm so happy to hear that and I'm waiting to hear about a great ER/ET! (And keep the cat away from thsoe ovaries.)

Lauren1171 - I was so sad to read about your infuriating RE - UGH!! I hope this IUI does the trick so you don't have to worry about any more IVF cycles for a long time.

Margi - I can't wait to follow your journey to CA! So excited that you're back in the IVF game!!

Franny - I saw you popped in and if you're reading I'm sending you giant hugs! We miss you!!!

Hope - I saw you mentioned cramping with the Endometrin. I had that too but it would usually go away within 30-60 minutes of inserting the suppository. I'd rather have that then those IM shots...no thanks! See if you can space them out a little more. I did 3x a day and I did mine about every 8 hours until I reached my 10th week of pregnancy. (My 3rd one would fall in the middle of the night but since I'd get up to pee once or twice a night, this was not an issue for me.) I also found that it helped sometimes to not use the applicator or not put the applicator so far in. I didn't have much mess with mine though - just needed a pantiliner. Maybe spacing them out more would help that too.

Know that I'm cheering on all of you ladies and hope to see you all on the Pregnant After Treatment board really soon!!

Happy Sunday!

So yesterday I was at lunch with my friend, we're fine btw, & went i went to the bathroom saw a tinge of pink on the toilet paper. At first I thought I was spotting but actually it was blood in my urine. I was straight cathed after ET and was lucky enough to get an infection. My only other symptom was a bit of burning when I pee but I assumed it was just from something being stuck in there. This is my first uti. I called my DH at work & called in my own prescription for antibiotics with my RE's name on it. Thank God DH is a pharmacist since no one answered or called me back at the clinic!

So I had some cramping 5-7 dpo, then NOTHING since. My BFP cycle I had it from days 7-9dpo. Isn't 5-7dpo too early for implantation? I'm really trying not to get my hopes up. I have one more hpt & am probably going to be too chicken to use it. They just bring me soooo far down. And since the only accurate test is a blood test, why do that to myself. I am really trying to mentally prepare for another bfn. :( I'd rather be unexpectedly ecstatic than completely crushed when I get that call.

Tiger- You are so sweet. I would love to watch a movie with you! How many dpo are you?

Tammy- What good news you have! This will be your cycle. The diabetes isn't fun, but manageable.

Katie, klinger, & Leora- I know, I know... 8dpo is too early. I just thought ifi did have implantation starting at 5dpo, then maybe it would show up. Dumb.

Everyone else- You are all in my thoughts. Have a great day.

Katie – got it. I definitely remember that painful time for you. So, with the donor embryos did they offer you only the ones you transferred, or are there any for future use? Sorry to ask personal questions, just wondering if you were able to have a sibling. However, with everything you’ve been through, one miracle is just all we can ask for. I’ve just been thinking about it lately. I had a breakdown last week when I thought this whole cycle was falling apart when my lining was terrible. DH and I both wanted 4 kids, decided that was going to be difficult financially, came to the conclusion 2 was better for us and all this before we knew we had infertility issues. So, the other day, DH said, maybe 1 will be all we have and we’ll both be happy with that. So, I’m coming to terms with being oh so lucky for one. Just wanted your perspective now that you have a baby. I think it’s easy for me to say, YES, I’ll only want one, but (hopefully) when I have one, maybe I will change my mind?

Deftonesmo – I’m glad everything went well for you! I have my fingers crossed!

Leora – You are so right. I just read that story too, about a woman who is 23 and was kidnapped at the hospital where she was born and just reunited with her real family. You are right, it’s nothing to joke about and because DH and I joke about it, I too, could understand where that person was coming from. Now, there’s a huge difference actually doing it and joking about it. I would never do that. I know you wouldn’t either. But you’re right. So glad you got AF! Let the games begin!

Amanda (klinger) – I’m so happy to know that you are reading! How are you doing?

Lou – every cycle is a little different. Sounds like it could be a good thing! I think you should hold off on POAS, even though you know I love to, if you think that will make you feel the best. I am all screwed up by the IUI, I’m not sure how many DPO I am? I think you would start from my HCG shot? Right? Well I took that on Tuesday, Jan 25. Had IUI on 26 and 27…So I think I’m 5DPO. I would like to test on Friday, Feb 4 which I think would be 10DPO. Am I doing the math right? I’m really glad that you and your friend are good. That makes me happy, but crappy that you have a UTI. Seriously. When I was getting my IUI’s done the nurse asked if I had any yeast infection symptoms…I said, no I haven’t. She thinks I have a yeast infection. Great. I haven’t had one of those in like 7 years. But, I don’t have any symptoms, so not going to treat it. Plus, if I am pregnant…or should I say, because I am pregnant, I couldn’t use anything anyway.

To all you lovely ladies, have a wonderful Sunday!

Tiger - So you did your trigger on Tuesday the 25th? Me too, so we are on same days. I am wondering the same about what day we are. I read online that with iui the implantation is 6 days post ovulation which would be 6 days from Thursday. I was thinking Friday the 4th would be a good day to test. When you had your 1st IVF did they freeze the eggs that you got at retrieval? Just wondering if they do that or only embryos.

Lou - glad you worked everthing out with your friend. Who needs more stress? I pray this is the one for you!!!

Amanda and Katie - Its good to hear from you both! Thanks for checking in on us!

We did our ET today! We transfer 4 bc that was all we had left. One is a grade 1 with 5 cells & the other 3 are grade 3s. our RE was okay with 4 in. I just wanted to do a quick update & will be on later to do some personals. I am not sure how I how feel about are chances since 3 of them are fragmented, but as of today I am PUPO!!!!!

Leora~ My ER isn't until sometime this week. I had to lower my Follistim dose by half last night and tonight because I could not make it back in for monitoring. I go back tomorrow morning to see what's going on. By the feeling of it, I have a lot going on in there! My hips and back hurt. Things are pulling and I barely have the energy to walk upright.
