Hey ladies! Sorry I have been MIA....I've had the worst morning sickness for the past 4 weeks! I'm 9 1/2 weeks now so I'm praying it ends soon! I've lost 9 pounds and they have put me on phenogrin and now a new "miracle drug", something that starts with a "Z" to help with extreme morning sickness. I used to pray that I would be able to get pregnant with all this IVF stuff and one of the reasons was because I wanted to experience pregnancy....well I sure am!! ha ha!

Kholtan...so sorry about Bodie's ear infection!!! Bless his little heart! I hope he gets well soon!

LauraLou....your twins are just adorable!!!!!! They are too cute!

So, now I need help with registry items!!! Strollers, carseats, pack n plays, bassinets, etc. I would love to hear any and all advice! If your registries are still up, you can send me a private message and I would love to see them! You girls are the only people I "know" with twins so I need advice!

I'm sure you are all going to have a blast with the holiday festivities with your twins!!!!! Can't wait for next year!

Laura--the boys look great! It's amazing how much they look alike. Thanks for the advice about the food. Like I've said, our ped was adamant about waiting until 6 months to start, so I feel a bit behind. It took forever to get the tandem bottle feeding down for us...I can't imagine how crazy it'll be feeding them solids! My dog will love it, though.

faithandhope--If you look a bit farther back on this posting, we've all made some good recommendations. I think Malinka was asking a while back...check some of those out! (Like snap n go's, etc.)

We got their Xmas pictures taken today. They didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. The boys cried thru most of the session! I took the best ones and had this Xmas card made. Has anyone else done photos yet? How did they turn out?

Laura--what a cute card! We're actually getting our pics done on Monday. Did your studio make the card? Or did you go somewhere to get the card made? The boys look great...

The studio made the cards. I got the pictures done at Kiddie Kandids at Babies-r-Us.

Please post your babies' photos when you get them done next week. I haven't seen any pictures of them in a while. I bet they've gotten big!

Laura~ What cuties!!!! That card turned out great! The boys look so adorable! I'm such a softy for identicals!

Hopefully we get ours done before the holidays are over! :? I had their announcements done but cannot figure out how ot scan it onto the computer and post it? I need a kindergarten student to do it for me!

I wonder if you mommies can help me? Annelise is waking up every 15 minutes for the first hour or so every time she sleeps. She is actually easy to get to go back down but if I try to let her calm herself back down she becomes wide awake and a wreck! Needless to say when she eats in the middle of the night for the last 3 nights it has taken an hour to get her all the way back down. What the ????? Just curious if this happened to anyone else???

Holiday photos from everyone is a must!

Take care~

Kimberly, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the announcement! How precious! Awwww......

As for your problem, sometimes, mine will wake up partway into their naps....I usually just plop a paci back in and we're good to go. This might just be a stage? Could it be gas? Sometimes gas used to wake my babies up....I wouldn't worry too much, unless it continues for a while, I guess. good luck!

Hey gals....

I have a question for you ladies with twins about my age or a little older...both of my babies are getting pretty demanding these days. I hear that's normal for babies around 5-6 months to start whining for more attention, but with 2 it can get taxing at times. I'm sure once they can sit up better, they will entertain each other a little more. But for now, do you have any suggestions? It seems like I'll get them settled on their tummy mat, exersaucer, etc. and then one will start fussing. When I attend to that baby, the other will start fussing. AGggghhhhh..... I know they're trying to manipulate me, but other than letting them cry, what do you suggest? Any good things I can do with both of them at the same time?

Hi all

Just a quick post from me :D

Firstly, Lauralou your boys are looking great - getting so grown up one wonders where the time has gone! Your Xmas card looks great as well - I wish I had the time to organise something like that. We will have photos taken at Easter time so hopefully they will handle the experience a little better than they would if I tried now :D

Kimberley, that announcement card is devine :D Again I had no time to organise one for my babies. I have an online link to photos and send my friends and family the link every month so they can see the babies grow and change.

Kim - I hear you, I hear you :D The babies attention span is only so much and then the whinge - I cannot stand it! I have all sorts of things for the morning inclusing rocker time, swing time, bath time (always in the morning) floor time, and finally when all else fails I sit on the floor with them until they are ready for a sleep. Sometimes it is only 10 mins or so but sometimes it is an hour :( In the afternoons it is the same unless I take them for a walk which they love. Mu DH is home at 5.15pm everyday so I get help then - thank goodness. By the time he gets home, I can be pretty exhausted depending on how the babies have been.

Hang in there Kim - like you I am hoping the next few months fly by so they can be mobile enough to amuse themselves for a bit. Testing times hey :D

Must go - will try and get some photos on photobucket and when I do I will let you kow. Must be photo time again :D

Cheers all

DI, thanks for making me feel a little better! I love these babies so much, but it can be tiring, can't it? Braeden is much more patient than Ellie, THANK GOD! :) It's just funny how every stage has it's perks and complications. Feeding used to be such a pain, but they were easy to handle.. Now, it's the opposite...Oh well!

To add to things, Ellie started puking tonight. She doesn't have a fever. She acts normal, but every time we offer her a bottle, she throws it back up. Yesterday, she gobbled nearly 40 oz. by the end of the day. So, what's up with this? We did offer her some water just to make sure she'd stay hydrated, and she did manage to keep that down. But by bedtime, she was hungry, so we tried another bottle. She ate 4 oz, and managed to keep it down (so far!). I keep checking on her to make sure she's not lying in a puddle. I hope she feels better tomorrow, or else we'll be off to the doc. I pray Braeden doesn't start projectile on me tomorrow too!

Malinka, how was your shower? Did you manage to get the things you need? Are you still with us? I know you're close!

faithandhope--how are you feeling? ARe the miracle drugs working? My RE had me on a combo of benadryl and a prescription. It worked well enough, but oh, I was so glad when that stage was over! Good luck.

Kimberly--Is annelise still waking? I'm glad you managed to figure out the computer. don't worry--your twins will figure things out for you soon enough! I figure mine will be like daddy....much more savy than me!

well, i'm off to wash EVERYTHING....since Ellie puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, I need to make sure we're all sanitized. ugh.

Hey gals! How are you?

We're buried in snow over here. Hope you all are well. We seem to be very quiet lately. I'm sure it's the fact that two babies are keeping us very busy!

I think I figured out Ellie's puking incident. She's eating too much formula! I called the ped and he said ok to some rice cereal, so we tried it last night. Braeden loved it! Ellie wasn't so sure. Today she showed more interest. It's definitely messy but not as bad as I expected.

We go to breakfast with Santa tomorrow. The twins club is hosting it at a country club nearby. My mom thinks I'm crazy for even attempting to take them, but I say it's okay. We'll see who's right afterwards!
