Wow! I am so excited for you Louise and Cocoa!! It is reassuring to see you are getting to see the HB (HB's) for the first time.

Cocoa---Twins!!!! Yeah!!! Congratulations :P Are you ready for this?

Anyway, my u/s is tomorrow too. But based on my beta's, I am expecting one (but secretly hoping for two!!) I was so anxious to sign in and see your results Cocoa (and Woodcliff). Both of you have had high betas, so we were all pulling for twins for you both. Can't wait to hear from Woodcliff. I really hope all went well......

Just got back from my u/s....all is well. We are having one! Saw the heart beat, which kinda makes it feel a bit more real, hopefully I will keep hold of this little one! :D :D :D :D Due date is now 29th April!

Yesterday I started feeling a bit queezy and having bile...uuurgh!! I convinced it was the start of sickness so I wasn't complaining, but today nothing, so I guess it was something I ate!

Hi guys i had my first US today, there is one baby in there and it has hb already!!! I am not even quite 6 weeks yet, so i am excited, but i got really sick today, my nausea has started a couple of days ago, today is horrible, i am very very nauseous and i throw up constantly. They gave me IV at the doctor's office but i threw up right after it was done. So, I am super exosted right now but very very excited that so far everything is good with the baby.
Love to all

I JUST got home...was out of town for my U/S...
Woo hoo VLADA, COCOA, and LOUISE!!! CONGRATULATIONS

Drum roll....

Twins!
Heartbeats really strong at 124 & 128
Gestation is 6 wk, 1 day
Due date: April 28...
due date means little except a goal to try to keep the little buggers in as long as possible, twins always are early...anytime in April I'll be happy.
One is bigger than the other (both are HEALTHY), so I'm thinking boy/girl twins
I wasn't "excited"...I felt, er, trapped, this is it, OH NO!
Today I'm happy, EXHAUSTED. NO MORNING SICKNESS...mostly cuz I am eating more carbs (call me fatty)...and craving Wendy's Cheeseburgers...what's up with THAT?

OK, need a blood test but have to wait until tomorrow...can not wait to be eased off the drugs, esp the PIO shots...but it'll still be 3 weeks or so.
UGH
Anyone else NOT feeling morning sickness?
I mean...YET?
Ta ta for now...

Mandy... Whahoooo!!! A strong baby!!! THAT'S what I like to hear!!! I saw my teeny tiny hbs too. Like teeny tiny pulsating dots...in a BIG BLACK HOLE!!!!

Well, WC you certainly had us all on the edge of our seats!!! I KNEW wew were twins!!! My baby A was clear as a bell - like s/he was waving (probably a girl - such a show off :) ) but baby B was a little less apparent. S/he made the doctor work to get a good focus. The doctor pointed out the hbs but I don't think he took the beat rate but if he did he didn't say anything about it. He did point out the yoke sac though. I have my u/s on video and the doc gave me a pic but can't see the babies in the pic. The cool thing is that one baby implanted on one side and the other implanted on the other side sort symmetrically in the middle.

So... here we are... all of us with our dream babies. How many of you think this may be your last pregnancy? If you think it will be then suck it in and GET OVER THE NAUSEA and start loving it!!! It's telling you your baby is growing.. (Of course if you have hyperemesis then you are of course allowed to dislike it immensely but also be sure you stay in touch with your doc in that case too...)

Well, I for one did kind of feel a little like WC with the OH, no!!! Trapped!!! No more freedom! but really, its a great trap to be in because you can really see a side of life that you would never otherwise experience if you had no children. I for one am glad my son will have siblings.

As far as FOOD... I am trying not to eat too much since it doesn't make me feel better and I hate the constipation (and gassiness  ). It crtainly doesn't seem to matter that I don't eat more than I am used to because the blood and water weight alone makes me appear as if I put on 5lbs on my belly alone. Yuck and YIKES!!! When I am less tired I will start walking again. After my next u/s which is next Mon the 10th. Don't ask me why so soon but the doc wants me in for bw and u/s that morning.

Much love and I DO vote to merge the April/May babies since we are all a bunch of great supportive ladies!!!

Ok, a few questions:

* My ticker reflects from my 'fertilization' date...but if I calculate my new 'due date' from the U/S technician, it's 6 wks 2 days. Harrumph...I'm sticking to my old calendar until I see my doctor.
How did you ladies calculate your tickers?

* Uh, my husband wants to tell the world we're pregnant.
I want to wait, this time feels very private...my reasons are that I have not even MET with my OB YET! I Need this time when no one knows so that my husband and I can make some plans, ie: fixing a few things in the house (au pair suite in the basement), hiring help, fixing up bathrooms, etc...

I think he feels guilty, like he has to tell his mom something to get her off our back ("WHY DON"T I EVER SEE YOU?")
And she is the LAST person I want to know...ugh.

I need to get this through to him...well, he does "get it" in a small way, but not totally.
I need time to tell my own mother...
I want to wait until I'm 12-14 weeks along.
HOW ABOUT YOU LADIES?
(my sister knows, and one friend of my husbands, plus the man's girlfriend)

Oh, sorry Mandy..CONGRATULATIONS!

Cocoa! What a great post...oh, all of this bloating from the meds does not help...
I think we'll also need a shopping thread, or just leave it on the April/May 2008 Thread!

you are sooo right re: being lucky to be a mom.
That said, I'm still scared !!! I know that with 2 it'll be 24/7, even with a baby sitter to help...

OH MY GOD...SCARY PHOTO, Page 407 of the What to Expect book:
NURSING TWINS...I laughed for probably 3 minutes after looking at it..it's downright OBSCENE. It is so damn funny, this sketch! A baby on each tit...like two little bombs...I'd swear it was a joke if it were not in a respected book!!!!

Congratulations to all you happy mums to be!

Last time I told everyone and i mean ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE!!! And of course I didn't even wait for the 1st u/s....how stupid of me was that, so when it didn't work out then of course I had all the sympathy etc which was awful  , so this time, I wasn't going to tell anyone until I gave birth!!!....but of course that is so impossible, I have just been bursting...so told my mum & dad, grandma and sister....and of course the 100's of people on this site.... :D but all of my friends and clients at work will have to wait a bit longer yet! However, hubby has now told the lady in the newsagents....and in a small town like ours, news travels very very fast! :!: :!: :!:

My dear Ladies,

I'm sorry for not responding sooner. There is so many of us here! :D Yeeeeee!!!! Congratulations!! Also, I can see that we have some twins!!

My hubby and I told everyone from the beginning; and by everyone I mean our parents, brother, and best friends. All of them were aware that we are going through the IVF, so it would be weird not to tell them when the good news came. As far as the rest of the people we know - the word will get there slowly in the next month or so.

As of yesterday, I am off the meds :D :D :D The only things that I have to think of every day now are prenatal vitamins and follic acid. Food!!! I am craving junk food my dear girls!!! I had Chinese the other day; yesterday I had some Rubio's mexican food and all I can thik of today is a mortadella sandwich!! I hope this will stop soon, my baby need some vegies:) However, I am taking vegie and fruit supplement so it does make me feel a little bit better (not an excuse at all!!!)

My belly is rounder and I can feel that my clothes are tighter; my hubby told me that my belly is bigger. As far as symptoms: just a little bit of cramping, but not like on the beginning where I felt my cramps like PMS cramps - this time is more like stretching of the uterus. It is never on both sides at the same time. My boobs are not as sore as on the beggining, just bigger

This is getting too long! Have a great pregnant day!!!!!
