Welcome to all of the new members! And thank you to everyone for your support and well wishes ... because it worked!!! AF came this morning and I have never been happier for cramps! I guess I was just being impatient (one of my many flaws), but it usually comes earlier. Anyway, I called the doctor and go tomorrow morning for my baseline bw and us, and then I guess I start the meds!

Pumma - can't wait to hear how your tests go - looks like we could be on a very similar schedule.

Neffi - I was excited to see you are from Lancaster. I am originally from there and both DH and I have lots of family in the area. I also went to F&M. I am actually headed there this weekend to visit family and do some outlet shopping - I only live an hour from there - just over the state line in DE.

Tali - that was my third acupuncuture session - I go once a week. I am not sure what it has done yet, but if nothing else it helps you relax and focus on positive energy. The woman I go to his very nice and talks with you a lot first to decide what treatments to do. She has other patients who have done IVF so I keep her updated on everything!

Best to everyone else and I will update after my tests tomorrow - thanks again for all the good vibes!!!

Hope everyone is fine. yeah i went to see the doctor today regarding the heavy bleeding and had a baseline scan. Every thing seem ok for now. Dr. said not sure about about the drug having effect on the bleeding. I am excited and nervous about this process but hope it comes to an end. I am starting stimulating on the 3/12/07 and ER scheduled for 17/12/07.

praying for BFPS! for everyone

hey wun --- WOO-HOO on everything being a-ok!! injections ---- i was DEATHLY afraid of tummy  but even being the biggest wimp out there of needles ---- i must admit, were just fine!! i felt me "pinching" the area to poke more than the actual poke!!! so after i conquered that fear ------ i started alternating between thigh and tummy.....GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

hey wunni

glad the heavy bleeding was nothing - our bodies react so differently to all these drugs. I alternated the shots on my tummy on opposite sides. For me the tummy worked better becuase I could pinch more there :)

I am excited for you to start stimming next week.

Angie: you always make me smile. thanks :D :D

Tali: yeah, isn't it great to have some dates, even when they are a few weeks away. i love it. where do you live? and yeah, i love the snow as well. don't be frustrated, but i know how it is if you leave a message and RE does not respond. i always feel like i am pestering them as well, but what the heck, i don't care, if it makes me feel better.

Amy: you are so lucky to live in one of the most beautiful areas. where did you live in the US?

PrincessB: welcome, welcome, i am glad Angie invited you over. I also have a cyst right now and not sure if i'll need to postpone this current cycle. did your's go away on it's own?

Lisa: i would give it a little bit more time. i stopped bcp on 11/19 and did not get my AF till 11/25, so almost a week and i was also only on bcp for 2 weeks, i think that was too short. i am sure you'll get your af soon :)
well, i just read your latest post, so forget what i wrote earlier. well done, girl.

Neffi: welcome, welcome, i am glad you joined our group, these are really fantastic people. sorry, i don't really have any advice on sonohistograms except that there isn't really anything to worry about.

Esperanza: it would be great if you could help with the chart, since i have no idea right now how to do it

Angel: welcome, welcome as well. do you know when your ER and ET will be? sounds like maybe in the middle of december. i am so excited for you.

Wun: i am so excited for you to get your dates. good job. i have always injected in the abdomen, not sure about the thigh :(

As for me, i don't have the big news yet, i had my baseline scan this morning and rather than having 2 cysts i only have one left, but it's bigger than last week, about 25 mm in diameter. so right now i am just waiting to hear back from the doctor's office about whether i'll still be able to go ahead or if we have to postpone till next year. i'll let you know as soon as i know something.

Hi Lovelies!

I talked to my nurse. We are going ahead with this cycle

I just have to wait for my dear friend AF (which should come in the next couple of days) to start taking the bcp! My nurse will order the rest of the medications for me in the next week or so, and then we're going to have the injections' classes, etc. I'm excited!!!

From what she said, it sounds like I might have ET/ER the first week in January....can't wait!

Pumma, hang in there sis. I agree with our friend ICSI girl. It's good that they caught that cyst now instead of next year. My thoughts are with you.

Ok dears. Until next time! I'll work on that chart on Friday.

Hello, Hello,

Pumma - Sending you lots of positive thoughts girl. Hang in there. I know it sucks to not know what the plan is. But you have to have faith and trust your doctors.

I live in Vermont and even though we have the longest winters ever - It is so stunning here. I have only lived here a couple of years and moved up here because my DH lived here when we met. (we are a match.com couple) and at first I didn't like it (city girl at heart), but it has really grown on me. Life is a lot simpler here and there is so much peace and beauty. (My DH would love to hear me talk like this)

Anyway - Just wanted to tell you that I am thinking about you. Hang in there.

Hi ladies,

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Pumma, sorry to hear about your cyst. But it won't be long before you start.

Angie good to see you in good spirits. Keep up the positive outlook for tmt.

Esparanza, hope AF shows her ugly head soon so you can start. Yippeeee!

Vermont sounds beautiful. Maybe we should all move there while going through IVF - the beauty may help us relax.

LB - its great that AF has arrived. Let us know how the accu is working. Even if it just helps you relax, thats got to be something.

Tali - you made me laugh about the emotional bruises. DH says he is not looking forward to dealing with my emotions after injecting all those hormones into an already charged body.

I have my scan on Friday. I'm so scared that they will find a cyst. If all goes to plan then ER and ET are scheduled roughly around 12-14 Dec.

AF is making me feel so miserable this time round. I'm feeling so totally drained out. Don't know if its the medication or just AF. Wish I could stay at home for a couple of days.

LB--thats so funny--I was born in DE. Wilmington, then moved to Hockessin until we moved to Lancaster. I still have an uncle that lives in Hockessin. How long did you live in Lancaster? Did you go to high school here? Anyway--good news with you AF. I'm eight days into BCP and my RE only has me taking them for 2 weeks also. Then next cycle will be three weeks before everything starts in January. Good luck with your shopping at the outlets--I'm sure it will be crazy there...but not as bad as black friday..they opened at midnight! Its really nice to have this support!

Hi girls-
Well, I'm a no go for this cycle -- :( My thyroid levels came back and are too high (3.54) and my RE said it didn't make sense to begin till the levels were back to normal (1-1.5)... I am terribly disappointed to be back to the waiting game - but, at least he's looking out for our best interests, right? I go back after the holidays to test the level again.

Pumma - hope you get a plan soon to know if you're on now or in Jan. Best to have everything be optimal, or as good as it can be before beginning - the not knowing when is sometimes the hardest part! good luck! By the way, I lived in NY before moving here. Where are you? What brought you to the US?

laglenik - hooray for the a few good sperm! ...Once the holiday season is over - and that will fly by, January will be here and you'll be off and running!! wishing you all the best! thanks for keeping all of us in your prayers.

A warm welcome to Neffi and Angel!

Esperanza - any sign of AF? hope she comes soon! Most of your life you dread AF, and now that you want her, she takes her time...

LB - how often do you have accupuncture? is it something you started recently? I've only had it after ER and before and after ET...

Tali - vermont is a lovely state. my DH would like to live there, maybe one day we will - and that was a good suggestion that we all move to vt. to relax during treatment!! There is something to be said about that-- have a great day, tali!

Angie - you have enough PMA for everyone and I thank you for that! I agree, once you have your dates, the anticipation and the excitement is a great thing for your body and mind before you begin...the 2ww comes no matter what...and it's here before you know it and then stays for a lifetime--I hope it ends in a BFP for you this time!!

Hello and best wishes to everyone I've missed!!

Wishing each and every one of you wonderful women lots of luck, tons of baby dust and BFPs for all of you! Perhaps I'll be able to join you again before this thread is over!! Hope so!! Till then, I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines!!

Pumma,
My first cycle had to be cancelled because of the cyst. First they increased my dosage of Lupron to try to get the cyst to go away but i went back a week later and it had grown, like yours. They said they just werent able to get my ovarys shut down all the way to keep them from forming cysts. So they gave me the HCG shot to make me ovulate and said to go ahead and try naturally this cycle.

They can asperate the cyst and go ahead with the ivf but if you have high estradiol levels then it's a good sign that your ovaries arent shut down.

Now I am starting again. I start Lupron again but they are starting me off on a stronger dosage of Lupron and a stronger BCP. Let me know if you have any questions.

I definitely agree with Angie about the timing. I would much rather be cancelled and them get everything right rather than go through the whole process and it not work! It will be okay. Hang in there.

Angie: yes, yes, i know i have been bad and not posted as soon as i should have, but i do have a job as well .... :D and i would love to cycle with you BUT,

i will start my stims on saturday, with ER on dec. 10 and transfer on the 13th or 15th, with tentative blood work to find out whether it will be a bfp :D or bfn  on dec. 24th. isn't that a scary date???

so here is what they told me: even though i have a large cyst on my right ovary it is NON-FUNCTIONING, so that's why we can go ahead. last week my estradiol levels where still pretty high, that's the reason why they did not start me, but my blood work looked good yesterday, so i got the go-ahead. i am pretty sure my doctor knows what he is doing so i am excited but on the other hand sort of scared, since it did not look optimal right from the beginning. we'll see.

esperanza: congratulations on getting to go ahead with your cycle. i am so excited for you girl.

Tali: thanks for your encouraging words. i have never been to Vermont, but i have heard its beautiful.

Angel: we are on the same schedule, how exciting. i can't wait and don't worry about a cyst, i already got one, so what are the chances another gal will get on in this group. :)

laglenik: it won't be long till january, hang in there girl and keep us in your prayers.

Amy: i am so sorry to hear that you won't be able to cycle this time, but perhaps you can start in january. i am keeping my fingers crossed for you. i am in minnesota, we moved here last year and i lived in california for 9 years before that; my dh is from there. keep in touch.

PrincessB: thanks for your information. my doc basically said the same thing about estradiol levels etc. they also said that since i was on lupron for an additional week, my cyst stopped functioning. i am keeping everything crossed for you with this cycle. it sounds like having a stronger dose of lupron on bcp will do the trick. sometimes it's all magic, isn't it?

as i said i am all excited but gosh also scared. i hope this will be our time.
