Sameera....

I have to agree with you on sleepiness. I could sleep 12 hours a night every night and still be exhausted the next day. I have found myself quite restless at work and can't seem to sit still.

I do not understand why in first trimester your body is so tired and exhausted!! it's so strange you would think that with all these hormones going crazing inside of you - it will make you more hyper and energetic..

it's the opposite - oh well I do enjoy my naps! Next week my dh is going out of town for a whole darn WEEK!! I am not looking forward to that..

i'll be alone with my 3yr old and I dunno how I am gonna manage it - especially when i am so tired!!! LOL

Happy Friday everyone!!

hello everyone!

So I had a scare this morning after my last post. I went to the washroom and started spotting! So I got a hold of my OB and she faxed me a referral to have an ultrasound. I had my ultrasound done 30 minutes ago to find out everything was really good. Boy what a relief! I did find out that my baby (per ultrasound) is due Jan 2, 2008. I also found out that my baby's heartbeat was 120bpm then 125bpm. I am so relieved to have the confirmation. I still go for my ultrasound next week as well. One of my co-workers that did the ultrasound also gave me the most beautiful pictures!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic friday!

Sameera: We saw two sacs and yolks at the first ultrasound. They both were measuring 5w 4 days. No heartbeats yet. I hit 7 weeks tomorrow. So crossing my fingers they both make it. I can't wait until Monday.

I know exactly what you mean about being happy either way, but I almost started crying when he told us there was only one. I was just so hoping for 2. Then right before he was done, he was like ohhhhh wait, there is another one. Then I really started crying because I was so happy. :) Hormones. . .

My M/S doesn't seem to care about what I eat. It just comes and goes as it feels like, and I can't seem to get rid of it with eating. I figure it is reminding me to be good because I have babies growing in there. hehe whatever helps get through it right?

I love naps now, I never took them before.

Sorry about spotting Sweet, but lucky you, that your baby is doing so well and you got to see the heart beat today. What a relief. :)

monkey- glad to hear your spotting was nothing serious! Sounds like your baby is doing well! I had implantation bleeding during my 2ww, and I totally freaked out...even now every time I got potty I am paranoid to see something on the tp! Lucky you get extra pics for your scrapbook!!

sameera- I am tired to but for the life of me I cannot get a good night's sleep. Before getting prenant I could sleep 10 hours straight through tornados and ignore a full bladder; but now I have to get up in the middle of the night to go potty. It's so annoying!!

becca- well, living in San Antonio I am constantly surrounded by mexican food too, my DH is mexican so we make a lot at home. But queso and guacamole and chips is definetly my weakness!!

As for me, the queasiness is starting to kick in more everyday, I guess that means the hormones are going up as normal. I am hungry all the time, and I want fruit, salad and salty foods. Surpringly I don't want sweets too much, and I normally have a sweet tooth.
Oh, I found this website justmommies.com it has a pregnancy calendar, and you plug in your due date and it spits out a 10 months calendar that tells you how the baby is devloping daily and different milestones. Check it out, its cool!

Have a great Friday!
God Bless-

Hi ladies,
I notice the common theme here is feeling so tired. I can totally relate to that. I fell asleep at 8pm last night and woke up at 5.15am. I always wake up really needing to pee but when I get there and expect niagra Falls to begin it comes out so slowly and I have to push it out. My sister is 4 or 5 days behind me and she has the same thing. Anyone else?

I can't believe how hungry I am either. Last night I felt like I was going to tackle to pizza delivery guy to get the pizza as fast as possible from him. I ate half a large pizza  My DH was quite surprised. I feel much better now I have started taking Vitamin B6 for the nausea, that MS is gross. I remembered taking it when I was pregnant with my son and it did the trick that time and seems to be working this time too. I'm having one baby, though, not sure if its as effective to all you ladies with 2 babies growing. Mmmmmmmmm, talking of food, think I'm going to Chipotle for a burrito in a minute.

Sweetmonkey.....sorry about your spotting. I understand how scary it is. I spotted at 5 weeks but nothing since then. I'm sure all will be fine. I have to say, I still check my liner every time I go to the bathroom and thank God each time there's nothing there (except the usual sticky prometrium/estrace mess)

Chelly...thanks for the website, I'm going to check that out.

becca, I'm so glad to see someone else with an appetite like mine. I have to keep reminding myself I'm only supposed to gain 2-3 lbs in the first trimester. I have already gained 1.5 lb.....I guess thats not so bad since I'm half way through the 1st trimester. When I was pregnant with my son I barely gained any weight until about 16 weeks then I piled on a total of 50 lbs!!!!!! I lost it all and more, though, within 6 months. My sister is not allowing her midwife to weigh her cause in her last pregnancy her midwife told her quite rudely that she was obese (she is so NOT obese).

Anyway, enough talk about weight and food. When does everyone else get released to their OB? I have an appointment with mine for 8 weeks. I was quite surprised but all my RE does from now is check my labs and wean me off the hormones.

nicaliw- that is so funny what you said about tackling the pizza guy...hey, 1/2 a large pizza is normal for me, so what will it be now??!!
Dont feel bad, today I managed to wolf down a salad, baked potato, and a slice of apple pie for lunch. And I haven't had my afternoon snack yet!
I wake up ever night to go potty; I don't have to push it out but sometimes I get discomfort like I held it to long or something.
The prenatal vitamin I take has vitamin B6 I think, so you can't take extra can you? I have some nausea in the morning, but I haven't vomited yet or anything. I am hoping this is as bad as it gets, cause I see some nasty stuff at work.
I will be 7 weeks when I go back for my u/s; and they told me to continue the 1ml of PIO...I guess they'll let me know if I need to discontinue at that point or not...I feel like the progesterone is my 'safety net' and I think it would be weird not to have to take it!
God Bless

Hi ladies!

Love all the chatting (especially the food talk LOL!:))

Sweetmo- I'm glad you're ok...I have had a little brownish spotting in the last couple of days...I didn't call the doctor because it's not much at all (sometimes when I wipe) and I've read in many places that the brown kind is old blood...do y'all agree? Should I call? I have another US with RE on Thursday of this coming week. I will see the obgyn June 2nd...I'll be 9 weeks and 2 days...is that too late- should I reschedule for the week before? I think I will...

I'm tired too...my DH and I almost always go to bed early (between 8 and 9 usually) and we get up at 4:45...I haven't gone to bed any ealrier because it would still be daytime LOL, but I do nap some afternoons after work for a few minutes and a lot of the afternoon on Sat or Sunday if I get the chance. I'm a school librarian, so this summer is going to be great...lots of napping and resting for me.

And, I do pee often during the night- even when not pregnant (big water drinker, small bladder?), so I think I'm just used to it...everything comes out fine :) At the end, when on stims I was using the restroom 3 or 4 times...did that happen to anyone else? I think my enlarged ovaries were pressing on my bladder...is that possible...maybe I need an anatomy lesson! haha maybe it was hormones...?

Have a great Friday night! My DH is still out of town...no kiddos here, just me and I have to say I love it when I have a few days by myself...I get to watch my shows and sit in the comfy chair!

Becca, I wouldn't stress the spotting too much. Doesn't sound like you are. I would just let the doc know, though, just so they can give you their best care.
I know exactly what you mean about having time to yourself. Being able to choose the tv channel is a big deal cause my DH and I don't agree on many tv shows except for Scrubs.....love that show.

Chelly, I think my prenatal has B6 in it but my RE still recommended 25mg B6 three times a day. I don't think it can be harmful.

What does everyone do for a living?? I'm just being nosey cause I noticed a couple of people talking about wearing scrubs. I'm a RN on L&D which is cool cause I can do US or doppler whenever. I am going to try to avoid doing it too much this time, though.

thanks everyone for the reassurance. I feel a lot more rested after my ultrasound. I do have another one this wednesday. I am kind of excited because after this wednesday I get transferred over to my OB. I finally get to stop the long drives into downtown Toronto in rush hour!

Still tired all the time but it seems to be getting a little better. I am still not liking food that much. I always seem to feel sick before and after I eat. I am assuming that will go away very soon and all I will want to do is eat!

The peeing has really started to become a bit of a pest. I never used to pee in the night and now I go at least 2 times. I tried to stop drinking a few hours before I go to bed but it still doesn't seem to help.

I really enjoy hearing everyone's updates so keep the coming!!

Hi ladies,
I haven't stopped by in awhile because it's been a rough couple of weeks! I can't believe how sick I am! I know they say MS is wrose with two, but this is bad. Is anyone else dry heaving all day? Not to be gross, but I am vomiting at times but mostly nothing come out. I feel like crap from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep. I even woke up a couple of nights throwing up....YUK! My nurse said to drink ginger ale, eat cheerios, and stop having full meals, just snack throughout the day. That has helped a tiny bit, but not all that much. Any one else experiencing this, or better yet found a fix? LOL.
Sweetmonkey- You only get up twice to pee! You lucky dog! :) I'm up 3-4 times.
Nicali-I am in sales, but I am currently on a leave of absence.
