Albany-
Thanks for your response! I guess then that it's not so uncommon to have a 'rough' U/S so to speak. I still didn't see the hb, since my U/S was only at 5 weeks, too early for hb. Please G-d, that comes next week. As far as heartrate, my last pregnancy they also just checked for presence of a heartbeat at my 7 week u/s. My feeling is that they kinda 'know' what a nice strong heartbeat looks like, vs. a weak one. They're quite experienced looking at those little hb's, so I didn't worry too much about it.

I think it is natural to worry a little. I try to put scary stuff out of my mind. I know from last time that I worried WAY too much and didn't get to just enjoy my pregnancy enough. I am determined to enjoy more this time around. Hope you do, too :) .

Have a bit of a headache. Going to lie down.

Yes, very extreme thirst! And water doesn't cut it. I need to mix in OJ, which I have been craving like CRAZY.

I am thinking about you and glad you will be meeting with the specialist to talk things over.

Does anyone have extreme thirst after waking up in the morning? During waking hours I definitely drink PLENTY of water (about 6 16 oz.) and milk (3 8 oz.).
i get the thirst in the middle of the night.. but im up every hour peeing too..

my kick has been vit water, OJ and MILK..

Milk has been my friend with the nausea and heartburn!! i really dont like to drink water, so ive been doing alot of juice and milk :)

Hi Ladies... Got room for one more August baby? I just found out on Friday that I am BFP from IVF. I think a few of you were also on the Nov/Dec IVF thread. My clinic only does two beta's and now I'm on auto pilot until my first u/s on January 8.

I have had no real symptoms so far but am very tired. I also got a tad moody last night. Hope it was unrelated.

TC-
Welcome to the group! And congrats on your BFP, how exciting! I had 3 betas, and I will be u/s'ing on Jan. 3 (day before my birthday :) ). I also feel like I'm on 'autopilot' mode till then. Baby, do your stuff!!

So, anyone feel like a beached whale, cuz I do! I feel so bloated, and look like I always just ate a huge dinner. I have a sizable umbilical hernia going into this pregnancy (compliments of last pregnancy), and wondering just how distended my belly will get towards the end- let alone the beginning   .

I tried out a new ob yesterday who is closer to home now- we moved recently- with the idea of leaving behind my AMAZING ob who is far from where I live now. Well, I decided to go back to my old ob. The new doc wasn't the right 'fit' for me, and I don't have time now to start trying out docs till I find the right one. We'll just make a 'road trip' out of it (about an hour away by car).

Hope all is well with all of you. Where are you all??

Hugs,
Shari xo

I am here. Just laying low on the message board lately- sick of complaining. Not feeling that great. M/S has kicked in and really slams me down around 4pm- not puking yet. By bedtime I am a blob- uncomfortable and unhappy. I have a lot of tugging, cramping and back hurting, no bleeding. Shari I feel your bloatedness:( No hernia here though. Just my vertical C section that is going to be my issue. I see the peri on Jan 6. So weird to be Dr free for 2+ weeks.

Twins!! I think.
I saw 2 sacs. One baby and one yolk. One heartbeat 115. But the tech said it's a little early and it will probably be ok. I kinda think she was just trying to get me out without a breakdown. Please does anyone have any thoughts or experiences.

No insight for you really Caprice...at my first u/s (4 weeks 5 days) they saw 1 def sac and 1 "questionable". At the next u/s a week later it was 2 def sacs with 2 separate fetal poles. The only thing to do really is be happy you are PG and you saw at least 1 sac and try to enjoy the holiday. Only time will tell if it is 2 sac's with strong hb's. But I do think the HB is a good rate, if it is worth anything :) Also, I don't know how your clinic works but for your next apt "TRY" to have it with the Doc. The techs are not the docs. You need the docs professional medical opinion.

Happy holidays everyone!

I am not in the same city as my doc so he just calls me after he recieved the video of the ultrasound he already called me. He said just to redo it in one week. But because the sacs were both the same size andthe yokes were the same size it is hopeful. I am happy about the remaining baby. Just curious what's going to hAppen.

well good luck, its so hard to tell so early on.

we get so used to going in and getting our scans super early.

at my 5 weeks they only saw 1 sac and at 7 weeks, there were two with two heartbeats well in the 150 range. so you never know..

you got atleast one baby!! :) two is only gonna be a blessing.

it OK if both sac's don't make it. its nothing you can do about it and you will be ok!!!

if you want to think about it from a medical aspect... if one doesnt make it, its more and likely due to a chrom or some type of defect and its nature taking its course. if most of us never did IVF, we would not know how many babies until later on, and most of us would never know if we had twins to start and then naturally reduce to just one!!

try to enjoy the holidays!! :)

Hi ladies, I'm going to join you if that's OK with you! I just started the September Board, as my EDD is September 3, but I'm the only one there. I figure I'm just as likely to deliver in August, so I may hop between the two boards.

Quick history (although I recognize most of you from the Nov/Dec/Jan IVF boards), my IVF #1 was a failed cycle in Oct/Nov. For that one, we transferred two 3day embryos, and had one lagging behind they told us not to count on. Two days after transfer, we got the call that the 3rd had caught up nicely, and so they froze it! On Dec. 16 we transferred than single embryo, and lo and behold I'm pregnant! I found out on Christmas Eve from a HPT, and had my beta this morning. 10dp5dt, beta is 425, which seems a little high to me.

So incredibly excited, and hoping there is no downside to a high beta! Can't wait to enjoy the next 9 months!

Next: Work on improving DH and my fertility while saving up for next round. Why does something that we want so badly have to also be so expensive?
