Congratulations Kizmet and Melo on being PUPO!!

Kizmet-I hear your full bladder pain! I drank so much that when they went to do the transfer my bladder was TOO full-they made me get up...pee a little...and then come back in. Do you know how hard it is to pee a little when you are dying to go!! Anyway, DH also thought it was all very funny and amusing. How many did you transfer?

Melo-Those eggs sound like good ones. I think that 3 day are great-they have a better chance of living in your body than in a petri dish-so I think you made the right decision. Will they let the remaining go to blast? and then freeze them? How are you going to spend your time during the next two weeks? Any take your mind off of things plan?

Blair and Jane-can't wait till we get your updates!!

AFM-It is only day 2 and I am kinda going insane! I know I should be enjoying this time off my feet-but I am brutally bored!! It has been really hard to completely relax with my 1 year old twins around...I should have sent the kids out of state to their Aunt's house...as it is, my mother and brother come over and watch them during the day until DH comes home at night. Everything is pretty good until bath time, when they all take a shower in my bathroom. Once they see me, they cry. So I have been layig on the floor, and letting them climb over me...I figure it has to be better than picking them up.
Also, I realized in my staring at the ceiling daze, that I had a fresh cycle at this EXACT same time 2 years ago, that resulted in a BFN...I am VERY superstitious, and don not think that can be a great omen. I mean the dates are sooo close-that transfer was on Aug. 9-2 days before this one. I just remember going back to work all depressed, and when I got in-2 of my fellow teachers in my department announced their pregnancy...I was completely devasted.
Oh well...positive thoughts, positive thought, right?? My DH keeps laughing at me because I keep talking to myself, telling these little buggers to attach!! Hope they can hear me:)

Hey Kizmet - your Beta same day as me . . . I thought you'd be few days earlier - as your at day 5 already - and I just at day 3??? . . . . seems you still got the " lets take the nice slow scenic route" 2ww - with a few extra days just in case the clocks started getting ahead of themselves . . . .

kizmet, melo, and melmar- Congrats on being PUPO!!! I have a very good feeling that you will all be starting off the good news on this forum. And you will all be getting your news right when I am going for my transfer. Depressing to think I still have awhile to wait but Im glad I have your updates to keep me going.

Jersey- Hope your still having a great time on vacation. I really feel like I need one about now.

AFM- Still anxiously awaiting my next appt and the transfer. I do have a really good feeling this time and am hoping for the best like always. I am still on 2 estrogen and patch but move up to 3 on Sunday. I still havent started feeling all the happiness and positivity that the NP mentioned with all the estrogen. Not sure if its the fact that Ive been horribly busy at work this week, but people annoy me. So excited for you all and cant wait to hear the good news start rolling in. Keep us updated!

Hi! I´m also doing a FET. Mine is scheduled (hopefully) for 9/7. I started Lupron 7/28th and still on it (I was not suppressed after 2 weeks). I´m going on Tuesday to see if I´m already suppressed so then I can go on with the Lupron (lower dosage) and add a pill (don´t remember the name)... We´ll see.

Amaut - Welcome and good luck!

Blair - Good luck with your appointment. I thought it was just me, but I'm easily annoyed by people at the moment too, so maybe it is hormonal. I'm generally in a great mood at the moment BUT if someone is being whiney (is that a real word?) I really cannot tolerate them at all.

Melmar - I just transferred the one. I only had two frozen, so didn't want to put both eggs in the one basket so to speak. The embryologist was really happy with the quality of the one they defrosted and said it was the highest quality, so that's a good thing.

Melo - I was suprised that my beta was on the 24th too, but I thought it was early rather than late! Anyway, I really hope that the two of us get good news at the same time!

amaut- Welcome and good luck to you.

kizmet- I was hoping it wasnt just me but I am easily annoyed. Glad to know you are feeling the same way.

AFM- Question for everyone: Has anyone had mild cramping with the estrogen? Its not constant but just light cramping every now and then. Nothing too exciting with me. Baby shower today for my friend who went through 6 IVFs. Increase estrogen tomorrow. DH is on call at the hospital so its just me all weekend. I did schedule a couples massage for the morning of the transfer though so Im excited about that.

Welcome Amaut!

Blair - I had some slight cramps on estrogen where I would say to myself "I feel like AF is coming" which obviously that couldn't happen at this stage in the game. I wouldn't worry about it.

Kizmet and Melo - Congratulations on being PUPO! How is the 2ww going?

Melmar - Congratulations on being PUPO! I know exactly how you feel. I have a 2 year old daughter and she loves to climb all over me as well. I figure as long as your not straining you're fine. I am not sure if I ever asked you but where are you a teacher and what grade? I am a kindergarten teacher so just curious.

AFM - I am home and feel relaxed. I went to my doctor's appt. this morning and was instructed to stop lupron, and begin PIO shots today as well as doxycycline and medrol for the transfer on Thursday. I can't believe it's finally here. I am thrilled to say goodbye to lupron, the headaches were getting awful. I wound up telling both of my sister-in-laws on vacation and they have always been so supportive. My one sister-in-law actually believes the date she conceived her daughter was on August 19th so maybe it's a good sign or good luck for me who knows? I really missed talking to all you ladies, strange how you come to depend on and get close to strangers so fast.

Jersey- I am glad you had a great vacation. And sooo exciting that you are stopping lupron and starting up all the other stuff in preparation for your transfer on thursday. And I'm glad you said you had headaches- I've had a bad headache every day for the past week+ but just figured it was work giving me a headache. Getting excited that everyone else is nearing transfer date. Before we know it everyone will either have a positive test or will be pupo!

Welcome Amaut! You came to the right place!

Blair-I do not know what your doctor is talking about with the happiness and positivity with the estrogen...I just feel bloated and as my husband told me today-cranky and tired. I am so glad things are getting under way for you!

Jane-Welcome Back-glad you had a good time! Perfect time to relax right before your transfer. I teach high school Math and computer programming...love my job and can't imagine doing anything else. I don't know how you do it with the same kids all day-and kindergarten-you must have the patience of a saint.

How's the 2WW going kizmet and Melo??

AFM-just trying to get through each day with low stress and physical activity. Finding it extremely hard to not pick the twins up though. Oh well, I can only do the best I can do. Tomorrow I am all by myself again so I will have to deal with lifting and crying. Really want to take an HPT but know it is still too early...and I only have one in the house, so unless I go out and buy a whole bunch it has to be done on a decent day.

Melmar - Thank you I did have a great time. Highschool Math, that is tough. For one Math was always my worst subject and I don't think I could deal with the attitudes, although 5 and 6 year olds now a day are developing ones pretty fast. In all my 2ww I had days when no one could help me out and I still got BFP's although they ended in miscarriages but that is besides the point. I always thought of it as if I got pregnant on my own I wouldn't know it so my life wouldn't change a bit. My doctor told me one day of bedrest, then two weeks of easy activity. No lifting over 10 lbs., no exercise, no sex, no excessive stair climbing. But he did tell me if I have to lift my daughter, then lift with your knees not your back.

Blair - Definitely not a working headache. Everyone I know who has taken lupron has complained of the same nagging headache.

JerseyJane - Glad you had a nice holiday. I hope the headaches take a hike soon.

AFM - I'm so happy the transfer is done. I know everyone says the 2ww is the worst, but you know what? I'm loving it much more than waiting for the transfer. It's kind of like I feel relieved that the emby is in my hands now and not frozen somewhere and that what happens now is a case of what will be, will be. I think the scientific side of my mind has taken over now and I kind of understand that not all embies are going to make it whether naturally concieved or in a petri dish, so if Bean doesn't hang on, maybe Bean 2 will next time round. I've had mild constant cramping, but nothing too bad and I figure that is just from the progesterone. So other than spending a lot of time trying to decide exactly when I can POAS, I'm doing great.

Edited to add - can anyone suggest the EARLIEST a POAS is going to work? I've tried reading about it, but a lot of it says 9 days post ovulation - so does that assume that conception occurs on the same day as ovulation? So given that we are doing 3 or 5 day transfers, that ovulation is considered Day 0 and therefore when we have a 5 day transfer, we're already 5 days post ovulation? So theoretically we could POAS and possibly get some result 4 days post transfer assuming emby had implanted as expected? Damn it, I'm just going to POAS TOMORROW morning and every morning thereafter! I realise I'll be seeing a few negatives, but what the heck, gives me something to look forward to each morning doesn't it? :D :D :D

Hi Ladies
Jersey Jane - yay welcome back. We missed you - glad you had a lovley break and found good support in the inlaws, and its going to be Thursday in no time! Are you transferring day 3 or day 5? How many?

Amaut - welcome - did we cross paths earlier - I gatecrashed the july thread for a bit?

Blair - not long now! Hope those headaches don't last.

Kizmet - thats fabulous your feeling good! Your right - there's nothing else to be done now - your harbouring the little golden goose egg and thats the safest place for the wee rascal!

Melmar - yup waaayyyy too early!! Right? What IS the earliest you can POAS??

AFM: I thought I was going to avoid POAS for the whole 2ww but don't know if I can prolong the agony.

Also I had final embryo culture update today (day 6) where clinic confirmed that none of the 3 cultured on were suitable for freezing. I tried not to be heartbroken and disappointed - but there is my buffer gone - not to mention I really hope there is no association between quality of the ones put back and the fact none of the others even made it to day 5 . . . .

Melo - Thanks for the welcome, I really missed you gals as well. My clinic only freezes blastocysts on day 6 so I am transferring the only 2 I have left. What stinks is they freeze them in pairs and they like to put back 3 frozen at a time, however when I did my FET in October they defrosted 4, all 4 came back and they only transferred 3 and discarded the 4th (they won't refreeze because they say the quality is compromised). So I have 2 day 6 embies left. I am just praying that they both survive the defrost. As far as POAS I always said I don't want to jinx it, however I am thinking this time around I may break my rule and POAS. I am just so afraid to see a negative, I don't know if I could handle that feeling of negativity. I am generally a pessimistic person unfortunately. I think from what I have read it is 11 days past ovulation and you are correct, ovulation is day 0. So I think 6 days past a 5 day transfer would sound correct, but I think even that is sooooo early. Good luck and please let us know what happens.

Hello Girls!!!!!!

I am new to the board, and really looking for some cycle buddies to hold this 2 ww. I did a natural fet the 9 of august( on my birthday) hoping that is The big present!!!! i transfered 1 8 cell grade AB, an one 12 grade B. Currently 7dp3dt, getting closer!!!!!! but going insane, as i dont know if the symptoms i am getting are from the progesterone or from a possible pregnancy. I am taking my progesterone via vagina to lower side effect!! my stomach is feeling so strange, it s like i have a different taste in my mouth all the time, and even with a stomach full it s keeping and growling, and burping(sorry tmi), i am exhausted and bloated. I am so scared, as this symptom really give me hope and i don t want them to in case of BFN.
My beta is planned for sunday 21, but i am going to start testing on wenesday!!

Melo, melmar and kizmet, we are on the same track!!! whose going to poas first?

Sending everybody on this forum lots of babydust xxxxxxxxx

Welcome itsMyTurn!! Hope you are not going too crazy during the 2WW...seems like you are doing great so far.

Wow Melo-that would kill me if none of the others made it. It is amazing how different clinics are in their philosophy and process. My clinic would have froze them earlier if they thought they weren't going to make it b/c they believe that some of those will actually thrive inside your body as opposed to the outside. Also-I couldn't have kept doing fresh IVFs-it is just too damn expensive. As it is I call my twins million dollar babies (and I am sure I am not far off)! My insurance does not cover IVF, so every cycle has been out of pocket...they do cover IUI's, so if this FET does not work, I will try that once again till November, when I turn 38...that is my cutoff for trying. I just always wanted lots of children-a house full of them-I have a good deal right now, but would love one more.

Jane-only a couple of days away for you girl!! You must be getting so excited!! Those 2 sound like great quality! I didn't even know they went to 6 day!

Kizmet-how are ya doing? You seem pretty calm and collected right now-enjoy the time-pamper yourself!

AFM-yes girls...I am the first to give in and POAS. I am only 5dp3dt so I expected a BFN...but I feel it makes me stronger for whatever result I get 2 days from now and then 2 days from then(yes-I bought out the HPT's at my local pharmacy). I can't wait for anything-my DH just laughs at me...but for me it keeps me sane:)
