Jane,
I noticed your mention of your Dad and sister in a prior message you posted as well and I just want to say I'm really sorry. I don't want to be nosey by asking you details you may not wish to recount but it is obvious they were both taken from you long before what should have been their time. I just can't even fathom the pain you've had to deal with over that.
I'm glad you have a positive attitude about Monday and good for you for staying away from those HPT's! I'm convinced that, unless someone is one of the lucky few that has super high levels early on, all they do is cause additional stress and anxiety (yet, even saying this with such conviction, I do not doubt that I'll still cave in next time around

).
I'm a little confused by something. You're testing Sunday but you don't get the result until Monday or they told you to HPT Sunday then go in for a beta Mon.?
I am doing better than I would have thought. I went in for another test this morning. They will probably call in a few hours with the result (which I told them to just leave on my answering machine; that's how disinterested I am!). The lady who drew my blood was the same one who took it last time. She asked me, very excitedly, what my level had been (assuming that was why I was back in to test) and she got a rather puzzled look on her when I told her "0". I'm feeling oddly detached about everything at this point....which is a relief as far as I'm concerned. It makes it much easier to deal with.
Danica,
16 is a great number. Don't worry (I know...easy for me to say)! What is most important is how many of those 16 they end up getting eggs from then how many of those fertilize. Some women start out with a huge number of eggs but end up with very few embryos for one reason or another. Quality is much more important than quantity in this whole thing. I think I had 16 too. Only 13 were mature enough and, of those 13, 10 fertilized but one embryo stopped developing early on. We ended up with 9 embryos which the Dr.'s were very pleased with.
I hope everyone else is doing well.
I am going to go do some much needed exercise so will say goodbye for now!
love,
Staci
