Hi girls
How are you all feeling?Im starting to panic a little cos i havent felt any movement really, nothing that i know is certain anyway. i wish i could feel a large healthy kick or something, but i guess the babies are just not ready to make their presence totally felt in that way yet! they are making me plenty big tho.....................my Maternity trousers are still falling down mind you - i have had to use my dressing gown belt to hold them up - how funny is that?

you should see me girls you really should..........i look like a walking fashion disaster these days!!!
Jen - glad to see you havent had any mad panics lately..............and that everything is fine. I can't imagine studying, writing papers and taking test on top of everything else at the moment ... so well done for you!! how are they all going?
Soph-J - Thank you sooooo much for suggesting we wait a couple of week til I hit my third trimester..thats really sweet..but if you girls would like to start it up now, then I really don't mind. honestly whats a few extra weeks after what we have all been through? hope you are well and resting up with all that pain you were describing, poor you. did you get it sorted out? One really good thing about this board, for me anyway, is that as i am a few weeks behind all you guys I get to hear about common complaints in advance, and therfore i worry less. (well, less than I would do anyway!!!

) When i get certain pains, i'm like, 'Oh yes, Soph-J/Jen or whoever had that'...... Not so much fun for you tho!
Valli - good luck with your Glucose tolerance test....i might have to do one of those. My glucose levels were high at my last antenatal appointment, and it was mentioned if my levels are high at the next one which is in about 3 weeks time.
Jackie - how are you feeling now? you have had a bit of a rough time of it....hope things are getting better and easing up for you. At least you got through your Glucose Tolerance test ok.
Kim - have you come down off your high yet?! i dont think i did for a while after i got married!! the only thing that really bought us down was that we started trying for a baby straight after the honeymoon, and everytime we got one of those awful BFN's it wasn't too nice! but thats all really.................
Elizabeth - hope you are really well. How lovely to be buying some clothese - its great isn't it? i've been buying some Prem clothes as my babies will be prem, and they are sooo tiny. its nice to be able to buy some stuff thats a bit girly and a bit boyish now we know. i haven't gone too mad tho, just some romper suits, vests, socks, booties.
Ok - just wondering has anyone else here had any Physio appointments, or sessions? down here in Leicester they automatically send you on one if you are crrying more than one baby, and the Physiotherapist showed me some really good stuff for alleviating pain (all though she scared me a bit with all her information on birth and labour and the fact that you don't give birth lying flat on your back these days................

), which I am now going to share with you,as alot of you have been experiencing the same sort of pains she has described. Are we all sitting confortably??

(thats the teacher in me coming out.........

)
firstly the one things thats really useful is sleep positions, she said you put a pillow sideways on under you hip to support your pelvis, and that you can then put a pillow between your legs too and that helps back pain, apparently, as its keeps the spine alligned. the pillow also supports under your bump which helps to ease pulling - but ive been sleeping with a pillow under my bump for a good few weeks now. she also said that soft mattresses are best for pregnancy and to lie a sleeping badg, or extra blanket on your side of the bed to sleep on, as that helps you pelvis and back.
If you get stitch like pains its too much walking up and down the stairs and lifting too much. It means the ligamenst on your uterus are pulling too much, and it's NORMAL and NOTHING to WORRY ABOUT, but it IS your body telling you that you have done a bit too much and to take it easier. And obviously you all know that a lot of the pain under your bump, in your low abdominals, and in your lower bump is radiated from your pelvis stretching and growing.
I could tell you excercises but Im sure most of them are in the books we have all bought. hope i havent offended anyone as i am trying to help, so i hope i have.
After that lovely long essay i am going to go and get some late lunch as I am now starving.............
Love and Kisses
Toni xx
