hello!!!

yeah, i really think it would be ok to chat with a psychologist but i really don't feel like paying anyone....heeheehee :D

i already have to pay a whole lot more with my new RE, Dr. H. he's supposedly a well-renowed RE here in TX so that's why i wanted to check him out. however, he charges double than what i had paid my other RE, Dr. B. the price we have to pay for wanting to be pregnant, tsk! tsk! tsk!...

so, i'm getting all my work-up with Dr. H....will have Dr. B do my medicated IUI...if it fails then we'll have Dr. H do our 2nd IVF/ICSI ..... hehehe i'm a mess!
IVF/ICSI 4/05 ; m/c at 7wks
DIUI x 5 BFN =(
IVF/ICSI 7/06 BFP =)

Nicki,
Honey dont give up hope yet.. we all know af pains dont mean much..neither does an hpt before test date.. Keeping everything crossed for you that you'll test positive on 24th..

Abt IVF with donor sperm, I was told at my clinic that ICSI always has better chances and there really are no risks involved with the process..With IVF, u may have perfect sprem and eggs, but they needn't fertilise- like how it happened to Jag recently..
take care,
lots of hugs,
smita.

Smita, thanks dear. you had 4 failed iui, and then bang BFP in your 1st ivf/icsi. I am just wondering if thats the way to go next...... Why do u think your iui's failed?

I changed clinics after 4 iui's and my doc in the new clinic did a laproscopy and found my tubes weren't in good shape at all, and my chances with iui would be minimal at best.. so decided to go for ivf/icsi with this hospital.. and here I am.. As usual, one thinks, maybe if i'd known earlier, I'd have been saved so much heartache(not to mention money since we are paying for everything ourelves- as in India, theres no concept of govt paying for iui's or ivf), but then being a believer in fate, I believe it was meant to be only now..
Hope this helps..
Keep praying..

HELLO I am back

Thank you so much for your messages, and comments, I just couldn't resist, was going to read through the board for a coupleof days before posting but NO will power

I am here. So N - sweetie, ICSI gives a much higher fertilisation rate than normal IVF but you don't have to have it. They can only fertilise mature eggs with ICSI, so they sometimes take the rest of the eggs and let them try and mature in the "test tube" and fertilise them just by letting the spertm swim with them. I found out that from our 12 eggs actually only 7 were fertilised with ICSI which produced 3 embies, the other 5 were immature, and produced then no embies

Hi Elle, how are you doing sweetie??? tough isn't it?? I was so lucky as I still was in maintenance therapy, so was able to do crisis couselling after the m/c. I still have bad days, but I think we are ready to move on. It changes you forver though doesn't it?

Smita - so happy to see your PG is hanging on in there sweetie

We are still waiting for one last result from dh which should come mid September just in time to decide for a September or October cycle. I have been found to have an autoimmune thyroid problem, which isn't a problem yet but will be in later life (easily treated). They found this out when doing the immune screens. Thank God no NK cells or such, but will be taking aspirin. Have to admit I am quite scared about this next try.

sorry if I missed someone, will catch up the next couple of days..

Love and hugs
