FEB / MARCH 2011 Cycle Buddies!! can't wait!

Sorry I haven't had much time to read all of the posts. Things have been a bit crazy. I have been with an awful cold for days and work has been crazy. The people I supervise just can't get along. Don't they know what I am going through. Well, they don't so I can't blame them for that. But trying to get them to get along and work as a team is proofing to more difficult than trying to get my kids to do the same. Ah!!!! The only update is, no AF again today. PMA is proving to be more difficult to grasp on to with every passing day. I am so afraid that my RE will want to wait for yet another cycle before FET. I am now on day 12 after last dose of Provera and on day 26 of my cycle. I have an appointment tomorrow morning to have blood work done. Hormone levels and a Beta. I don't even know what the next step would be if I skip this cycle all together. If Provera has now stopped working, what next? I know that God would not ever give me more than I could handle, but I am sure being tested. I know we all have and in the grand scheme of life I know that there are definately worse thing that could happen. I am just so confused right now. I am really trying hard to keep myself together. I just can't visualize the day in which I will have my babies back where they belong. Sorry to be a "Debbie Downer" today.

WeHaveHope- be strong...you are going to be okay I know it! I don't pretend to understand your cycle, but even with Provera isn't it normal for your cycle to go to day 28 or so before AF comes? Sorry if I am asking a dumb question, but I have been wondering that for some time now. One thing I know for sure is that AF will indeed come, I promise! Maybe this is just your body's way of preparing perfectly for your baby. And you aren't a Debbie Downer at all. We are here to listen, precisely because those employees you supervise can't listen and don't know what you are going through. Sometimes I think being a people manager makes this even tougher because we are so accustomed to not showing our feelings and being the strong/decisive one. You are in the one place that you can share it all without the slightest fear of judgment. We'll send you virtual hugs on every down day, and listen to every darn detail that you can't share anywhere else. Bring it on lady!

Thank you to all for your support. Bliss, a special thank you for your post. Your kind thought and PMA has helped me make it through these difficult ups and downs.

I saw my RE this am. Had blood work and awaiting reaults. My RE said that although this is not common, he has seen this before. As I understood it, he said that if the blood work shows that I have enough progesterone then AF should be here in a few days and we will just have to wait. If there is not enough then we would do another 10 day course of Provera. He still thinks we can do the FET sometime in May.

I will keep everyone updates as soon as I get the call from the office with the lab results.

Wehavehope - did they do an u/s to see if possibly you had a cyst which can cause a delay with AF. I didn't have AF for 3 months and one ivf and it was because of a huge cyst that was producing estrogen.

Thanks for the question. No u/s but because we were doing a fresh cycle, I had an u/s about a month and a half ago before the ER and then with the OHSS I had one about a month ago.

WeHaveHope- Im sorry that AF still hasnt been to visit you. Did you ever try the cinnamon tea remedy I think pumpkin recommended? Even though DH got a little mad that I paid $8 for cinnamon sticks I had gotten to the point that I was willing to try whatever I could. Do you feel crampy or anything like shes around the corner? I ended up not getting mine until I think cycle day 32 or 33 last month...I just told myself it was my bodies way of preparing itself for pregnancy.

AFM- I really had forgotten how much I dislike bedrest. Even though the doctor only recommended 1 day of bedrest DH is going with the advice of our previous RE and wont let me out of bed until Thursday. Im already going crazy. Its so wierd though because every now and then I forget why exactly Im stuck in bed. DH and I were talking about how wierd it will be when we are actually pregnant and not waiting for the next cycle. I know this is our cycle and we will be bringing home a little one right before christmas!! Im so excited that we made it this far and really have a feeling its going to work out.

I am beside myself with disappointment. The Beta, of course came back negative. My Prigwsterone level was 1.56 when means anovulatory. RE said that this doesn't happen often, after 10 days of Provera 10mg, but he has seen it. He also said that he has no explanation for why this happened but that he dies not anticipate it happenening again. So, back to square one. I am on my way to puck up, yet another prescription for 10 more days of Provera and wait to see what happens. My RE has to be the greatest. He was so sympathetic to my feelings today and felt so sorry that my IVF cycle had been so difficult for us. We even discusses the financial strain that that having the cycle pushed back had caused (cryo, additional meds, and loss of rime from work due to OHSS). I found out today that he called the central billing office and had them waive the entire cryo fee. Who does that? I don't even know how to thank him for this gesture.

Thank you all for your support. I will start my Provera tonight and wait to see what happens. FET maybe now on 5-30 or
6-1 ??? Both very special days. One is our anniversary and the other DH's birthday.

Wehavevope- sorry things aren't working out exactly how you had planned. If I've learned anything throughout this infertility its that plans are pretty much out the door right now. We "planned" this and that and have learned that it just doesn't work the way we always want. Even though the transfer is being pushed back it sounds like those dates are both significant and would end up giving you that BFP!

AFM- The nurse called and we had 3 great looking blasts to freeze. Even though I would have liked more the lab is very particular and doesn't keep any unless they look great. A friend who went to the same clinic had 24 eggs retrieved, 17 fertilized, 3 transferred.... And none left to freeze so I know I should be thrilled to have 3. What's even better is that I know those 3 will be sitting on ice hopefully until we want to try for the next one. I'm sure everyones already sick of my posts but bedrest means extra time to post. Hope everyone is doing well.

Blair- I am not sick of your posts at all! I remember feeling that way when I was on bedrest, like I must have been driving everyone crazy (and maybe I was) but the way I see it, this is your time! There is no time during the cycle that you need this outlet more than during the 2ww. It is your time to be loved and supported by your best girls!

WeHaveHope- I am so sorry for the continued delay. What an amazing gesture by your RE though. Every little bit helps!

AFM- Ordered my meds today for delivery on Monday!!! I am still about 10 days to 2 weeks away from injections (assuming mother nature cooperates) but its nice to know the mini-baby in the box is on its way. Had a great visit with two wonderful adoption agencies today. It was very inspiring, neither one currently has a waiting list for their adoptive family pool and both have placed several infants in the last year. It makes me very hopeful we will have our little one soon one way or another. But it is a little scary because I will definitely give up IVF treatments if we start the formal application/home study process. Its expensive and you have to be ready to accept a placement if you are offered one. I think it would be unfair to take up space on a waiting families list and not be 100% sure you are ready to bring a baby home. We'll see how this next cycle goes, pray, talk to our RE, and go from there. Overall it was a blessed but exhausting and emotional day!

wehavehope - i feel for you. the waiting is hard! i also had ET on 2/10 and a transfer on 2/12 which resulted in ectopic and i am waiting to recover from that and move on to FET. i am probably 6-8 weeks away from FET transfer. i cant believe how long things take. it will be almost 4 months since my fresh attempt to FET.

blissful - how exciting - the progress on your two paths! you've got the meds coming for a FET attempt and you are making great progress on the adoption front. one way or another a baby is in your future very soon!

Blair - i hate bedrest, too. two days of lying in bed when nothing is obviously wrong with you is rough. but i am definitely planning on doing it this time. last time i kind of skimped on it. my DS was crying downstairs so i did 28 hours. this time i'll go for 48 - hopefully. although they say there is absolutely no evidence that bedrest helps. but its a good peace of mind and it cant hurt i guess.

AFM, this coming monday i am going in to check on my decreasing beta. it is so weird hoping that the numbers go in reverse but that means that i am putting the ectopic behind me. this saturday night DH and I are hoping to go out after DS is asleep and his grandpa babysits. after MTX shot i was told not to drink any alcohol for 2 weeks. by this saturday night it will be day 11, i wonder if i can have a glass of wine. i'll ask my doc about that.

i've seen 2 pregnant women at the gym today. i cant wait!

I had my 2nd beta today: 138 at 12dpet. 1st was on 4/4: 40. Go back on Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday, u/s on Wednesday. Please say a prayer for us

AFM-Done with PIO. At last!! Thank goodness I'm no longer a science experiment. Ladies, I won't be posting on this side anymore, but I will be stalking n crashing every now and then. You guys have truly helped to make this experience a lot smoother. I don't know how I could've gotten thru without so much support and positive encouragement. I'll be cheering you guys on from the sidelines. Praying for EO to get their hearts' desires. XOXO

crissy- even if you stop posting you have to at least stay around until I get my BFP! Youve been here cheering me on the whole time and I dont know what I would have done without all the support.

rio- I was thrilled to get some frosties...especially since they will just be siblings for this baby! It will be a busy life once Im off bedrest tomorrow. I go back to work tomorrow, leave for California on saturday morning, get back late next Thursday, and then have my beta on Friday 4/15.

AFM- Still hanging out in bed so nothing exciting to report. I was trying to remember how long it usually takes for a 5day blast to start producing HCG so I could decide when to start testing. I will be packing pregnancy tests for our trip to Cali just so I have an idea of how things will go with the beta next friday. As of now I am enjoying being PUPO!!!
