Hope, hey, you have good fert result. Good luck with your ET. I am on a short protocol. My doctor prescribed 2 kinds of FSHs. I have to take turn injecting them every 12 hours. I really feel annoyed by this new protocol but hope all these hard work turning to be worthwhile.

CJ, I don’t think our DH realise they are having the easy part of the work. I also had my DH to do the shots and hope that he feel a part of the process.
Kynlee, thank you for the suggestion. I now know what I can do if I really get OHSS.
Kat, I feel really sorry for you. I am now on my 3rd IVF too. I think I will feel the same as what you feel now if it turns out to be negative.
Tammy, did you also follow a protocol with morning and evening shots? I am doing so but no clue why. I got two different kinds of FSHs (Purgon and Fostimon) and add antagonist on the 5th day. You may have some idea why they gave me this protocol. Care to share?

Krcaja, Adaption has never come into my mind. But your positive experience do encourage me for this option if nothing turn out with IVFs.
Tiger, I started taking Orgalutran today and will go back to clinic on ½ for echo and blood work.
Katie, I like to information about 2ww. It can really ease my feelings by knowing what’s going on.

AFM, the bloated feeling had gone but my back is still aching. Got a question: can I make love during the IVF procedure?

Lauren – I never actually completed an IVF cycle. I did everything, but the day we went in for the ER, DH went through a surgery that day to retrieve sperm, but they didn’t find anything, so I didn’t actually have the ER. Looking back on it, I wish that I would have had back up donor sperm the day of ER, because I could have completed the IVF cycle. I thought we were making the right decision because I thought, why spend another $10,000 going through ER and ET when I can just do an IUI now! Well, little did I think that we’d be way over $10,000 in IUI fees now! But, if we would have gone through with the IVF, there would have been no guarantee that we would have been successful with that cycle either. So, hind sight is always 20/20. I still think we did the best we could with the information that we had. But yes, we are on the exact same schedule! YEAH! So, we are both going to POAS on Friday and BOTH have BFP!!! So, 6 days for implantation, would be on Tuesday…so what your telling me is all I’ve been feeling I’ve been making up? Yup, that’s probably true!! How are you feeling?

Amanda1979 – congrats on being PUPO! I can’t wait to hear about your BFP! Are you going to POAS or try and stay sane?

Sherry- sounds like you are a follicle making machine! I hope you have lots growing in there and it sounds like you do! Congratulations!

Mine were always sub-Q which makes them more simple than if they are IM.

Kimber: Glad no sign of infection and yeah for your lucky 7!!! Let us know when transfer is, and take it easy in the meantime. Gotta rest up before those embies come back to momma!!

Leora: So has AF shown her ugly face in full force? I'm confused...is she here on not? Mine started Saturday--so I go Monday for my SnS check and bloodwork. Then I start BCP...I will be coming up behind you!! If we time it right, between Tiger, Lauren, Tammy, you, then me, we should get a straight month or more of pure POAS heaven!!
Oh, you asked about what to say/not say during your 1st interview? I would probably restrain from sharing your kidnapping fantasies. Lol. Could you imagine her face? Really...you will do great. No worries. Your fabulous, warm, generous spirit will shine through. I'm gonna send a few dancing penguins just to be sure to let AF know we mean business and she needs to quit fooling around!

Tiger: No need for AF dance...she raised her evil head on Saturday. Right when DH and I had a wonderful special date night planned. Oh well. The cramps and bloating couldn’t get me down at all as I am so excited to get this cycle started! As for posting your pics of HPT..check with Le ora, but I think the easiest way is to photo them and then save to photobucket and copy the image link into your post.

SD: Sounds like you have a lot of follies cooking...that part is great! Always something to worry about however...never ending with this process unfortunately. AFM: AF arrived in full force yesterday, so anyone that was dancing the jig for me can quit. Thanks!! Tomorrow I go for Day 3 labs and SnS...wish me luck! Then I start BCP for a brief while before adding lupron. I am so excited.

AFM - I am one week into birthcontrol and will be starting stims mid Feb with ER end of Feb and ET March 3rd. I hope that I am able to not be so busy at work this time. I really do feel like my BFN has alot to do with my work schedule and stress that I have at work.

Hope & Lauren - you can take progesterone (after ET) either as PIO IM injections or suppositories. I hate both! I can never decide which is worse (my clinic lets me pick). The PIO hurt after a few days.... but the suppositories are a MESS! I feel like I should invest money in pantyliner company - since I use so many! Neither is good - sorry!

Amanda (Klinger) - thanks for stalking! I stalk you too! I'm always checking out my friends on the "pregnant after treatment" board. I hope to join y'all there very soon....

Lou - I'm glad things are fine with your friend. Between stress with the cycle and work - you don't need friendships to be stressful too! UTIs SUCK! I'm so sorry hon.

Amanda (1979) - YAY! Wow, 4! That's great! I'm sorry the embryos weren't as good as you'd like - but hopefully this will work! When is your beta?

Kerri - you can absolutely make love. I tend to get too uncomfortable when I'm seriously stimming for any kind of rough stuff, but in general, yes! Your cycle sounds like my last one. I was using Puregon and Menopur - and started the antagonist (Ganirelix/Orgalutran) on day 5 or 6. Worked well for me! This time, I'm doing only Menopur since I had a slow start with the Puregon last time.

SD - I saw Ghost's answer about your high e2. I've never followed my e2 levels but I hope that's a good thing.

Margi - I wasn't sure yesterday morning, but by yesterday afternoon - AF WAS HERE! After a BFN, my cycles are SUPER heavy. After a BCP month, it's super light. It's so weird to switch between 'super plus' tampons and 'junior light'. I think I own every single 'strength' tampon there is! ---- thanks for the 'advice' - yeah, we won't be mentioning the kidnapping fantasies! Thanks for making me smile! --- I'm sorry AF ruined your date night, but not really!

andsahasa - I thought you were doing FET? hmmm.... I wonder why I had you listed as FET.... oh well! I'm sorry work is so busy! I work a stupid office job. People keep telling me that I could get a better job (I'm well educated and bi-lingual, which is a big plus here) -- but I love that work has no stress. I have enough stress!

Tammy - tomorrow was your estimated ER day... how are things going? Have you triggered or have plans to? btw, I stalk you on facebook so much! Zach is soooo cute!

AFM ----- AF IS HERE! Hurrah! I guess 2 weeks of BCP was enough .... Yesterday was CD1 - so I go for S&S tomorrow! Hopefully I'll get the all clear to start stimming!-----hmmm.... where do I put myself on the list for the next day? Between AF and starting stims? I think I'll add myself to "grow, follies, grow"... since those follies should start growing now! ohwell, it's just a day until I start stims, hopefully!

Also - the doctors always say not to swim after the ER. That was never an issue, since I didn't swim. Now I swim 2x/week for exercise. Is the no swimming serious? I think they are concerned about infection from the surgery.... but the water is chlorinated?

I am a little late but only just heard about this site and would like to join this board. I had a 5 day fresh transfer on 29 January- 3 embryos so am now keeping everything (legs esp!) crossed.
Have a tender stomach, tender breasts and am very tired.... not sure what this means (if anything) as its my first IVF cycle.
Wonder if anyone could advise when I can sensible start testing from?

just a quick dash - no list updating and no personals -

I found this site and think it's interesting.... http://www.pregnancycharts.org/ --- it has charts of what hormone levels should be, the beta chart (for singles/twins/trips - yes, everyone loves betabase.info, but their site isn't always working and this site has the same list) as well as miscarriage risk analysis (including a calculator where you put in your data and it figures out your miscarriage risk). Interesting, no?

Also - I updated my ticker. I still have no idea how long it will take me to stim... in the past I've had ERs on CD18 and CD16 - and they think I was stimming a little too slow.... so today is CD2 and I'm hoping I get a ER about 2 weeks from now - so I can POAS 4 weeks from now!

AFM... we started injectables this weekend... DH was sqwirmish at first, but now I think he enjoys jabbing me with a needle. We were fortunate enough to get a few of the tiny needles (only 1/2" long), but they run out soon and I may have to go with the longer ones, just not go in as far, and he was like... "I am NOT sticking that long needle in you", it freaked him out a little. I go in for my next follicle scan (is that what SnS stands for?) on Wednesday morning. I will be on CD 11 after 8 days of stims (including clomid)... hopefully I have several eggs brewing.. just praying for a couple good ones. Hopefully they will be ready by the end of this week. I feel alot of twinges - praying that means growth!

Carol: Quick post here....YEAH BABY!! I am doing it this cycle!! No time like the present... CA here I come...planning to be in Cali by the end of the month after some time on BCP and Lupron then start stimming! Provided everything looks good with labs, etc. I am going today at noon for SnS with my OBGYN (since I am too much of a chicken to tell my RE). Regarding the needles...they are FREE from pharmacy...check and get the lower gauge! No sense sticking yourself with fat needles...oweee....or I can send you some! In the meantime...grow FULL follies, grow! Can't wait to hear your Wednesday report.

Margi-Glad I found this blog with all of you amazing women! I am so happy for you just believe it and everything is going to be ok! California Baby is on the way!!! Gdlad you knew Cyprus! is an amazing place and all of you girls are welcome to come and visit anytime! Are you from the states? if yes which part? I went for vacations in NY, Florida Miami and Orlando and I was so so excited! especially about NY! Now Las Vegas & San fransisco are on my short list for vacations....among other states and countries of course! I just love travelling!!!!

Leorina-hey neighbour!!!! hope we meet someday! you are welcome to come and visit! glad about your AF visit! you are a step closer to your countdown now! i will be praying for you! well about how my clinic works (its called ISIS clinic. you can google it. its super), well the one I was going up to now (I am doing this IVF#5 in a new RE) is so strict to the appointments and so so organized! I never had to wait longer than 5min for my appointment! everyone is so sweet and supportive they make you feel like you are the ONLY person in the clinic that comes first! of course this is how they treat everyone. this clinic is super clean and with the latest technology lab! the reason I went to another RE it wasn't bcause i wasn't happy with this one we just thought that after trying for 4 times here with no success it was time to try somewhere else. but if I get a BFP this time I will go back to this clinic bcause the doctor I am seeing now is only an RE and not an OBG/GYN like the one i was seeing up to now.

hopeisallIhave-Congratulations on your fertility report! awesome news! this could be it for you! ...hey if Im not mistaken your meds sounds like the one I was taking everytime after my ET and its called OVITREL (vaginal) it is to help implantation. I took once a day everynight when I went to bed.

Amanda-Ouao!! 4! in Cyprus all clinics are against transfering more than 2 and in rare cases thy put 3. i always transfer 2 except on my 3rd IVF where i begged my RE to transfer 3 as only 3 where fertilized. i hope everything goes great with you and enjoy your PUPO period until you get your BFP and then enjoy your pregnancy! when is your BETA due for?

about injections: my DH does all the shots for me. he likes participating the most possible in the whole IVF procedure. he comes in most of my RE appointments and he is definatelly with me during the ET procedure sending positive and loving vides to those embies transfered he doesnt want to be the guy that just fills the cup and gives it to the embryologist also during the 2ww he is so carring and protective. he acts as if Iam pregnant already Iam looking forward to when Iam realy pregnant and have him spoiling me! why not! i told him I will take advantage of that period of the 9 months! so far..he is the best thing that ever happend to me! ...i know I sound like 15yr old in love but we have been together for 10yrs now. we where supposed to get married back in 2005 when he got that infection that changed our lives for ever. well even though we are only engaged we feel like married and i call him my huspand and he calls me his wife. we want to get pregnant and then set the date for our marriage can you blame us! i cant even plan the wedding date now! i might be pregnant on that day or having birth on that day or something. so we have dicided to wait for the BFP and then proceed with the wedding date. when that day comes you are all invited of course!
about news in the ivf world:i was watching a programme today about IVF and this clinic in Greece anounced that they have "made" these new injection (for stimming) that you put it on the 2nd day of your cycle and it lasts for 7 days! this is so that women dont inject their selves everyday and go through all that stressfull procedure. sounded cool to me! so wanted to share with you
i am going for my 3rd and last embolio on wednesday and then i wait for the stim to start! can anyone tell me whats the antagonist protocol procedure? my RE told me that it will only take 2 weeks from the stiming to the ER and ET all together! if found that pleasantly short...

CJ -- SnS stands for "stick and stir" and yes, it refers to an u/s and bloodwork. Someone a few months ago coined that term and we all thought it was funny so it stuck.

Kat -- I'm glad you are doing alright and kept yourself busy over the weekend. Keep us updated on your wtf appt, ok? Thinking of you.

Leora -- Hooray for AF!!! This will soooo be your cycle! I feel alot of positive energy and excitement when I read your posts. It's gotta mean something good.

nwquiz -- OK, I learned my lesson.... no more POAS for me. I know the sticks are evil. Actually, I NEVER POAS with my IVF cycles because of how a possibly false negative just ruins any shred of PMA. The truth is, a BFN is just as bad whether or not you have POAS and gotten a negative or not. No more for me!

qita71 -- Welcome and good luck to you! When is your beta blood test? I honestly wouldn't test until maybe 2 days before your beta. You can get a false negative. If that's OK with you, then you can start a day or two before that. But remember, even a negative HPT on the day of beta doesn't necessarily mean it will be negative. I have a good friend from a previous board who had a negative HPT on the day of beta and was sooo bummed... until that is they called her with a beta in the 60's later that day! She is now a proud mamma.

SD -- Do you have two right ovaries??? lol... you said you have 14 on the right and 6 on the right! I'm sure you meant left... but it was funny. Sounds like you are a very good responder! Good luck!

Tiger -- I believe you ovulate 36-48 hours AFTER the HCG shot.... so you have to add that time in to figure out your ovulation day. How are you feeling? Any twinges or anything? I had some from dpo 5-7 but then that was it. I'm trying to be prepared.

Kerri -- My clinic tells us to abstain from intercouse until after the beta. I think that's pretty standard.

Lauren1171-- I've got everything crossed that is IUI is what does the trick for you. As I mentioned to Tiger above, I believe your ovulation day would be 36-48 hours AFTER your HCG shot. That's why in IVF you are scheduled for ER 34-35 hrs after the shot so RE gets your eggs before they can ovulate on their own.

AFM -- I gotta get back to work. We are expecting a HUGE blizzard storm to hit here tomorrow into Wednesday. I'm thinking of leaving work early tomorrow (around 2PM) and not even bothering to come in on Wednesday if I can get away with it. We're expecting 18 inches of snow. Last time we got 6 inches it took me 3 hours to commute each way. I still have no symptoms of pregnancy that cannot be attributed to PIO... i.e. peeing a lot and sore boobs. I only had the cramping on dpo 5-7. I guess that could've been implantation but I'm really trying NOT to get my hopes up too much. I am trying to focus on getting back to my life after Friday. This weekend will be hard for me if it's a BFN. I will stay in and cry a lot. I'm just so scared. Where the hell is my PMA?
