lou71 wrote:Happy Monday ladies,

Has anyone seen my PMA? If so, could you express mail it back ASAP. I'm missing it greatly.

CJ -- SnS stands for "stick and stir" and yes, it refers to an u/s and bloodwork. Someone a few months ago coined that term and we all thought it was funny so it stuck.

Kat -- I'm glad you are doing alright and kept yourself busy over the weekend. Keep us updated on your wtf appt, ok? Thinking of you.

Leora -- Hooray for AF!!! This will soooo be your cycle! I feel alot of positive energy and excitement when I read your posts. It's gotta mean something good.

nwquiz -- OK, I learned my lesson.... no more POAS for me. I know the sticks are evil. Actually, I NEVER POAS with my IVF cycles because of how a possibly false negative just ruins any shred of PMA. The truth is, a BFN is just as bad whether or not you have POAS and gotten a negative or not. No more for me!

qita71 -- Welcome and good luck to you! When is your beta blood test? I honestly wouldn't test until maybe 2 days before your beta. You can get a false negative. If that's OK with you, then you can start a day or two before that. But remember, even a negative HPT on the day of beta doesn't necessarily mean it will be negative. I have a good friend from a previous board who had a negative HPT on the day of beta and was sooo bummed... until that is they called her with a beta in the 60's later that day! She is now a proud mamma.

SD -- Do you have two right ovaries??? lol... you said you have 14 on the right and 6 on the right! I'm sure you meant left... but it was funny. Sounds like you are a very good responder! Good luck!

Tiger -- I believe you ovulate 36-48 hours AFTER the HCG shot.... so you have to add that time in to figure out your ovulation day. How are you feeling? Any twinges or anything? I had some from dpo 5-7 but then that was it. I'm trying to be prepared.

Kerri -- My clinic tells us to abstain from intercouse until after the beta. I think that's pretty standard.

hotgreentea -- How are those follies stimming along???

Amanda -- Wow... with transferring 4 you have great chances!!! Congrats on being PUPO!

Lauren1171-- I've got everything crossed that is IUI is what does the trick for you. As I mentioned to Tiger above, I believe your ovulation day would be 36-48 hours AFTER your HCG shot. That's why in IVF you are scheduled for ER 34-35 hrs after the shot so RE gets your eggs before they can ovulate on their own.

AFM -- I gotta get back to work. We are expecting a HUGE blizzard storm to hit here tomorrow into Wednesday. I'm thinking of leaving work early tomorrow (around 2PM) and not even bothering to come in on Wednesday if I can get away with it. We're expecting 18 inches of snow. Last time we got 6 inches it took me 3 hours to commute each way. I still have no symptoms of pregnancy that cannot be attributed to PIO... i.e. peeing a lot and sore boobs. I only had the cramping on dpo 5-7. I guess that could've been implantation but I'm really trying NOT to get my hopes up too much. I am trying to focus on getting back to my life after Friday. This weekend will be hard for me if it's a BFN. I will stay in and cry a lot. I'm just so scared. Where the hell is my PMA?
Thanks so much Lou71 :D
Feeling pretty lonesome doing this so great to "meet" you all.
I think (unless I have got muddled up) that I am having a PGT at the clinic on Thursday 3 Feb (having had retrieval on 24 Jan and transfer on 29 Jan). Does that sound right or am I going mad(der)?! If right, I only have 1 full day until I can test (whcih would be 4 days post-transfer) so that wouldn't be so bad (provided it was POSITIVE!!!!)!
Good luck with the storm :?

Lou - We are getting that snow here too. There is seriously no place to put the snow. My poor dog has a path as wide as a shovel to run outside and pee lol...lazy DH.

Anton - You guys are so cute together!! I am laughing cuz I don't even take DH to the WTF appointments anymore lol. If he does come he waits in the car so we don't have to pay to park. He is one that signs the consents and then does his thing in the cup lol! Sometimes I make him mix the Cetrotide while I mix the Gonal F and Menopur. He does it better than me. I am laughing cuz he would come if I wanted him to, but otherwise he would rather sleep if it's his day off. I like going alone and making all the decisions on how many we are transferring. He can be surprised.

Kat - More snow!!! I hope you get some answers at your WTF. Are you still thinking of changing clinics? My appt is Wednesday but I am pretty positive I will be cancelling that. My DH is working and I am not driving in the snow. He is good for driving me on crappy weather days.

Krcaja - Awesome beta!!!!

qita71 - My clinic does 2 weeks from the ER for beta test. I wonder why they have scheduled you at 10 days?

Amanda - Congrats on your transfer! 4 has to give you a BFP!!!

Leora - I know in the summer when I had ER they said no swimming. Not sure why though? I would like to get a beta number that I can look online to check lol!

Just dropping in for a stim report-- E2 level 393 (too high) so they're backing me down on the follistim tonight. Klinger - thank you so much for your comment re: the endometrin. I've followed what you recommended over the past day, and you're right, symptoms have gotten significantly better. I only cramp for a short while after the insertion (although I have mild cramps throughout the day), and the discharge has significantly improved. SO appreciate your advice! :D

Tiger/Lauren - I am looking forward to hearing about your BFP! How are you ladies doing?

Amanda - wow, 4? One has GOT to stick! I'm hoping and praying for you!! So glad that the fluid problem got resolved, yeah!

Sherry - how did your sns go this morning? I felt so much pressure in my lower abdomen a couple days before my ER. I couldn't wait to get some of those follicles out. But the bloating/cramping feeling is still there, though the cramps may be due to endometrin that I take 3x/day.

Kerri - haven't heard of that protocol before, but I'm sure the RE knows what he/she is doing. How many days have you been stimming for?

SD - wow, 20 already? That's great! What day of stims are you on? My E2 level started off low, so I was worrying about it being too low during my stims, so I know exactly what you're saying. Hopefully everything will get adjusted accordingly.

Margi - thank you for sending good growing vibes to my embies; I think it worked. They did pretty well over the weekend. Read more below :) YEAHH on the start of the AF! Good luck today!

andsahsa - sounds like you've been through a lot. So sorry to hear about your past miscarriages. what do you do for work, if you don't mind me asking? could you take some time off for this cycle? I think stress is a major contributing factor to anything and everything. try to take it easy.

Leora - YEAH on the AF's arrival! As far as the swimming question is concerned, I would not want to risk anything so I would take it easy on the swimming. When I got stitches on my head the day before my wedding in Hawaii (talk about a lousy honeymoon), I was told by my doctors that I could not go in the ocean (understandable), but to also not dip my head in the swimming pool. This IVF process is far more emotionally and financially draining, so I would not take any sort of risks. Ask your RE for his/her advice though.. good luck! Oh yeah, and I was told to start taking my endometrin the day after my ER. I'm getting a bit more used to it, although I could really make do without the cramping. Oh well, it's all worth it!

qita - welcome to the boards. the group of women on here are so supportive, helpful, and just downright amazing! congrats on your 5day transfer of 3 fresh embies! this is my first IVF cycle as well and hoping I have beginner's luck, as we all do. lots of sticky baby dust to you!

Kat - glad to hear you're doing well. you're such a strong woman, love your positive energy!

CJinNC - grow follies, grow!

Anton - how funny; we were at that crossroad once before, too. We weren't sure whether we should get married first or have a baby. I really did not want to be knocked up and fat during our wedding, so thought we'd have a baby first. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we planned, arranged, and got married within 3 months. The week after we got back from our honeymoon, we made an appointment to see a fertility specialist.. and here we are, almost prego! :P My DH likes to accompany me to all my SnS appointments and be included in this whole IVF process, which I think is a lot better than his sole contribution of providing some of his jazz in a cup. cute pic of you and your fiance! The way I put my pic in my sig was by compressing the pic in Paint and then uploading it on facebook and then copying the link to the sig between . Hope that helps? Hmm, Ovitrel. I haven't heard of that one before. Where do you reside?

Lou - oh, Lou, I know it's difficult, but please find that PMA of yours. Your BFP is right around the corner, just have some faith. Hoping and praying for you!!

krcaja - what a great beta! congrats, congrats!!

Rio - AM I!? Omg.. read on...

AFM - RE called this morning to update me on my embryos. Well.. out of the 8 that fertilized, ALL 8 are still going strong! In fact, she said that 7 of them are excellent quality embryos, with one being a little straggler. I am beyond excited and can't wait for my 5day transfer this Wednesday! Unfortunately, it's my RE's day off (tear), so it will be another RE doing the procedure. I hope he/she is just as good! Hoping and praying that everything goes well!

For anyone that I may have missed, I'm sorry. I hope you all are doing fantastic! Baby dust to you all! <3
