Hi Everyone!

We are just home from our scan and everything looks great!

Trigger injection tonight, then EPU on Wednesday and ET Monday!

It was so lovely to have our normal doc back, and he was very happy to tell us we have 12-15 eggs to look forward to.

So far so good. I'm thinking nothing but happy thoughts!

Have a great day everyone!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes! I am definitely pregnant- the clinic wanted me to come in again today to make absolutely certain and yes, it's a BFP! Due date should be March 21! We are very excited and I'm glad to be able to share the news with you all.
Thanks again,
Annette

P.S. I also had my birthday yesterday but was lucky enough to get my early birthday present last week with the news

Hi everyone

Our retrieval went well yesterday, 16 eggs, and I can call them in an hour or so to find out how many fertilised, plenty I hope. Fingers crossed.

I'm a bit sore and sorry today, I'm glad I don't have to go back to work until tomorrow.

I'm having trouble believing that I will have embies in my belly on Monday. Wow. Gotta keep the PMA up eh!

A great big thanks for everyone's support and encouragement, I really appreciate it.

Will post again when I know how many embies we have!

Happy Thursday everyone!

Hi everyone.

I'm just off the phone with the clinic, and we have 9 embies from 14 eggs that were suitable, so they seem happy with that. I had hoped for more from 16 eggs, but never mind.

They're freezing 5 and culturing 4 so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good pair suitable for day 5 transfer on Monday.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheers

That's great news Suzanne! Congratulations! Be sure to get lots of rest! The general and operation can be really exhausting.

9 from 14 is about what they say- usually it goes down by 60% at each stage- e.g. 10 eggs taken, 6 fertilise, around 4 to Day 3, and maybe a slight drop off to Day 5. It's great that they have some to freeze. Do they just freeze the eggs straight or fertilise them first?

Good luck for Monday. Not sure about your clinic, but they often show you the embryos on the screen before the transfer- which is very cool!

Fingers crossed!

Hey well done Suzanne, 9 sounds like a perfect number! Good luck for your transfer.

We had our meeting with the nurse yesterday and we were a little overwhelmed - God I hope this IUI works and we dont have to resort to IVF. She said that because of my age and the fact that I ovulate normally, I was at a higher risk of hyperstim. Has anyone else been told this? I'm 30. It was a bit of an eye-opener for poor DH, he didn't realise all the side affects of the drugs, etc.

Have a hectic weekend away planned so need to go pack,

Cheers guys,
Em

Suzanne, wow :D , I am very impressed. Well done. 9 is great a number!! I am keeping my little fingers and toes crossed for you for Monday, and sending you tons and tons of baby dust down Pacific Ocean. Good luck!!

Em, re your Q, I have never heard of that being said before but I was way over 30 when I began my tmt so maybe that is why. There was a thread for 'Gals under 30' .... I am not sure if it is still going but it might have something in there that could be helpful to you....
But Em, I have this happy feeling that you and your DH will conceive naturally..... just a big positive something when I think of you :) (very important - not to stop practising, ok? he-heh ). Meanwhile keep your chin up and stay positive. PMA PMA PMA.

Bel, I hope Annie is all better now. Little people do really suffer don't they? poor things. Oh, you must ask Annie whether she remembers coming out of your tummy when she was born, apprently most kids remember the event until they are about 3/4 years old... With Ellie's arrival so soon, maybe maybe :?: :!:

Anette, are you starting to feel queezy (don't know how to spell ;)) yet? or is it too early? I am really hopeless at pregnancy time-line thing. I have no idea. I just know that you don't tell anyone until you have your first scan (whenever that is!!) and that is all ok. Hopefully when I get my BFP I will be an expert of it ay!!

Take care all. From very very hot London, Cheers, Tiger
