Just a quick update - I went into the OB yesterday (he wanted me to come right in). He reviewed everything and sent me off to the hospital for some bloodtests that won't be back for 2-3 days. In the meantime, he talked with the perinatologist and they agreed that given the symptoms and the circumstances, I should go on high-dose anti-biotics for now, which I am (icky!) Anyway, we'll know more in a couple of days....thanks for all of your thoughts!

Wannababy --- congrats on your first movement, isn't it amazing? It is my favorite part of the pregnancy! Good luck with your follow up. I am sure everything will be fine!

Suzhan --- sorry to hear about your troubles, but the babies are really strong now in the second trimester, so don't worry too much. They can handle a lot! Just take a good care of yourself!

Sam --- I cannot believe you are so close to delivery! Only 4 more weeks, wow! Our thread is having the first baby born!!!! Don't worry about the size. I am pretty big too! I had my doc. appointment yesterday and realized I weigh the same as my husband! And he was there with me!
It was so funny.

Emily --- it is so good to hear from you! We will be all here for you for the next round, just keep us posted!

I had my doc. app. yesterday and the babies are doing really well. They confirmed again it is a boy and a girl. The girl is 1 ounce heavier. They are both around 1 pound now. I found out that when I stand or walk for a longer time, I feel a pressure by my cervix, so I was adviced not to walk or stand too much. It is probably the boy, his head is right on my cervix. The boy is more active and has been kicking a lot. My friend, who has twins, gave me so much stuff on Monday! I had to make two trips to pick up everything... 2 highchairs, 2 walkers, extra car seats, baby clothes, 2 swings, baby carriers etc. Our shed is loaded with stuff! I was happy to get it all, since she is a very clean person and everything is like new. My babyshower is in a month, I cannot wait!

Love and lots of good health to you all! Lola

This board has been quiet! How is everybody?

Suzhan how are you feeling? What did your doctor say? I hope all is well.

Sam-how are you doing now that you are reaching the final stretch? You always know the right things to say to make someone feel better.

Lola-How are you doing? It's a great savings for you now that you were able to get 2 of almost everything.

golfrswfe-When are you starting your next cycle?

I hope everyone is doing well. Take care!

Hello everyone, sorry i've been MIA. for some reason my body and mind has just not been too happy in front of the computer. Not too much has happend. The twins are looking good. I had my last US with the clinic at 9wks 6d. I've been weened off all prog and estr, yay! I have been discharged and I'm so happy! I can't believe I have just 6 mo to go. In other news, we have a new baby... a puppy. She was on the way to the shelter and DH couldn't let it happen, so brought her home. me being a sucker for a rejected puppy, I have taken on the role of mom to a 3rd fur baby. everyone says were nuts and we know it. by the time this one is trained, our twins will be here.

Champa, i know this is late, but I wanted to say how sorry I am this round didn't work out. Excellent idea, taking time out to live your life for you. When I started my 2nd cycle i was sooo ready for a break. But because of special circumstances we we're sort of forced into it. Of course i don't regret it, but wow, i was on the verge of a breakdown. good luck dear and have a great time.

Suzhan, i'm praying for you and the little one. I'm sure everything will be fine. thank goodness you we're on it so quick and recognized symptoms and saw a dr right away. take care and please keep us posted.

Sam, i can hardy believe you're nearly due! I can't wait to hear how the birth goes.

Emily, I'm doing the AF dance for you!

Hello all! I am so glad to hear everything is going well for the the pregnant woman out there. So many twins!! How fun. I feel like my pregnancy is going slow but all of yours are going fast...how funny is that.

I am so hopeful to all of you still trying. It will be your time. It is all about timing and when it is right with your bodies. OF course it does not help when your ready but it will happen!!

I am doing well.....three weeks and counting. I had a doctors appointment today (with a random doctor as mine was on call). Once again i was told she was going to be a big baby with a VERY LARGE head. YIKES YIKES YIKES. You never know but I do belive them on this one. I may be too sore to email after birth but will keep you posted. : )

I am starting to do things to induce labor...I am ready and willing to move things along. You will all feel this way...that wall hits about 36 weeks were you can not imagine being pregnant one more day. Aside from that, I feel great.

My puppies are great, getting us in baby mode and are half way to house breaking. I had a talk with them and they promised to be fully housebroken by two weeks!!

Take care, be healthy and stay in touch

Love,

Sam

Hello everyone, I did another update just to see where we are all at.
Suzhan, you should know the gender soon, ha?

Sam - I cannot believe the time is almost here. How exciting! my friend just delivered her baby boy and she said the same thing. The last month just seems to drag on forever. I cannot wait for the first baby on our thread! And Rittie is right behind you! Do you have a name yet?

Mia - how nice of you to add another puppy to your home! My husband is the same way, he is such an animal lover. Good to hear that your babies are doing well. I am so excited for you! How is your nausea? Getting better?

Wannababy -- how are you? You did not write much about yourself. Time is really flying, ha? I feel like I want to do so many projects before the babies come, but I don't have much time left.

Girls, I am getting bigger and bigger. My babies are kicking a lot, which is such an amazing feeling. They should be hearing by now, so I am playing some music for them. I feel a lot of pressure at the bottom of my belly when I stand or walk for a long time, so I have to start taking it easy. I want to keep them in there as long as I can.

Love Lola

Hi everyone....sorry I've been M.I.A....crazy last week.

Well, the good news is that my cultures came back and they were negative, so no listeria and the baby seems to be fine. We were so relieved but I continue to just kick myself for even getting to that point.

It's great to hear everyone is doing so well.

Sam - wow, I can hardly believe how time has flown by and you're already almost to delivery. Have you been having braxton hicks? I'm curious what they feel like. I've heard you start getting them in the last month or so. I can't blame you for being ready to deliver....I'm only 20 weeks and already my body feels the impact of the extra weight.

Lola - that's awesome that you're feeling so good and that they are moving around. I'm still not feeling any movement really, so I'm looking forward to feeling the baby start to say 'hi' How lucky to have someone give you so much for the baby - I'm really far behind, I have nothing yet

Wannababy - thanks for checking in on me....Hope you're doing well. Are you feeling the little kicks yet? You're about a week ahead of me, so I figured maybe you'd started feeling it by now.

Mia - how cool to hear about your new pup! Now, you'll be mom of 3 before you know it! And, congrat's on being discharged....Have you found an OB yet?

Emily - any news on AF?

Cindy - thanks so much for checking in on me here - that was sweet. Hope you and the twins are doing well!

Well, I probably won't be posting too much....I've also developed pregnancy carpal tunnel - so my right hand is numb a lot and is worsened with the computer, which I have to use for work, so I have to really reduce at home.

I try typing w/ my left hand, but it takes forever.

I'll still be checking in on you guys!

boy this board has been quiet, I hope that means only good things.......

I have now hit my breaking point....Rittie, if you are out there and have not given birth yet, I feel for you.

I have 9 more days until due date but am ready now!! It is so exciting, I can not wait for all you girls to get to this point. I have few braxton hicks and my husband fears I will not know when I am in labor as I have a hard time identifying what is a contraction. Baby is still big but they are not doing c-section at this point. Puppies are almost housebroken to our delight, and bag for hospital is packed. I am ready.

Sounds like the rest of you are trucking along. I am always excited about your develpment. Keep me posted.

I know there still are a few of us that are not pregnant yet and there is not a wishing opportunity that goes by where I do not wish you will be blessed with your own child. Some of these wishes have got to be heard....that is at least what I feel/think.

Wish me luck!

Love,

Sam

Wow Sam! This is it for you! I just seems like yesterday that I was reading about your BFP! Please keep us posted on how you are and hang in there! I can't wait to hear about your birthing experience! Take it easy and get your rest until the big day. If we don't hear from you before you deliver, all the best for a safe delivery and a healthy baby girl! God bless!

Sam --- I cannot wait to do another update, so your girl is coming any day now, right? Do you have a name yet? I cannot believe the time is already here! Good luck with everything and I wish you a lot of strength!

Wannababy --- how are you doing these days? Hope all is well. Do you feel any movement yet?

My babies are kicking all the time. I have another doctor appointment tomorrow and my 3D ultrasound this Saturday. I cannot wait to see what they look like inside there. I am pretty big already and I look like I am ready to pop a singleton. I cannot even imagine how much bigger I can still get. My shower will be on May 12th and people are already buying things on my registry list. We finally bought a double stroller this weekend and it is a reallly good one. We got it at a specialty store. Mia, PM me, if you need advice on a double stroller, I will email you. I am still working on my nursery and tomorrow I am going to my friend's house to pick up more toys and other things I may need. I even got the nursing chair from her. Thank to my friends, I really did not have to buy anything yet, except the stroller. I get really tired and I fell some pain in my pelvic area, when I am on my feet for a long time, so I have to start taking it easy.

Good luck to you all, I cannot wait to hear from Sam!

Hey Lola-I'm doing pretty well. My wiggle worm is moving a whole lot. At first the little thumps were cute. Now that she is getting bigger and stronger, not so cute, but of course it is a welcomed discomfort! I have had a cold for the past few days. Trying to take care of that without excessive meds!

I feel like I am at a transitionboth physically and mentally. Physically, I feel a bit different. The baby is heavier, moving a lot, having some backpain, getting uncomfortable a lot sooner, you know, all the physically joys of pregnancy. Mentally I am starting to get nervous, not very confident in my ability to care for a baby, even a little scared. I know that this is normal. August is right around the corner. I will be a mom before I know it! I know I will be fine, but becoming anxious about what is to come!

DH and I are going to register later on today. I'm pretty excited about that! Aside from Sam and Lola, have you ladies registered yet? Do you know when your shower will be?

HOw is everyone doing? This board has been relatively inactive. Like Sam said, that must be good news. I hope all is well. Please check in and touch base with us. Take care!

Hi everyone! thought I'd pop in now that I feel better. :) my nausea has eased up since 13 wks. I still puke every once in awhile, but I don't have that all day nausea anymore and I can enjoy my food a little more. I finally was able to see an OB last tuesday. I had trouble getting one (long story). I was worried beacause I had no idea how the babies were doing for 4 wks. It will be a couple more weeks before I get another US, but we did hear the heartbeats for the first time. It was like music to my ears. so far things seem normal. HBs are 160 and 150. my fundus is already about 2" above my bellybutton. I was surprised at that. Does seem that I'm getting a little bigger everyday now since I passed 12 wks. I can even feel my abdomin getting harder too. :)

Our new puppy is growing so fast! She won't be huge, she's an Italian greyhound, but I'm sure she has doubled her size in a month. She does LOVE to eat. Housebreaking is going really well. She does ask to go outside most of the time and she uses a potty pad by the door if we are too slow. :)

wannababy,
Sorry you are feeling nervous. I am too sometimes. I know I will have 2 little ones to care for soon, but there is no way to really know what it's going to be like until they are here. I feel like I'm wandering into a new and unknown world. I can't wait to feel my babies move. I guess I'm getting close. I read that around 16 wks i might feel little pokes here and there. I started a registry at target and amazon when I first became PG. I started looking into baby needs right away and have been using the registry as a visual list. I just told our parents about it recently because they asked.

Lola,
how did the 3d US go? I can't wait to get mine! Who did it for you, Your OB? How did they look? I also have a baby shower on May 12th! My step mom was throwing one for my step sister that day and when they found out I was PG too, changed it to a double baby shower. :D I'm flying to N Cali to my dad's house for that. My Mom is also having one for me here at my house in September. I'll probably pop within the following 2-3 weeks after that.

Sam,
I see that your ticker now says you have 2 days to go. :D I'm so excited for you! Best wishes for a smooth and easy delivery!

Suzhan,
I'm glad to hear that you are clear of listeria. what a scare. Sorry about the CTS. I had that before. I had to wear a wrist brace to do anything. Hope it gets better.

She Arrived

Post by samandaw1 »

My baby girl SYDNEY WAGNER DAVIS arrived on 4/19/07 at 9:44 pm. It is so exciting, she is healthy and beautiful. My ticker has been wrong since the begining, my due dates was the 19th and the doctors induced me as she was going to be a big baby...

15 hours of some tough labor (back labor, she got stuck, etc) we ended up in a C-Section. SHe was 8 pounds 11 ounces. Quite big by most standards. She is doing great and healthy as can be.

I just wanted to update you all, I am still recovering (first day home) and off to nap while she sleeps.

Can't wait to hear what is up with all of you and hear your expereinces as your big day comes.
