Sorry to butt into your thread but I wanted to say "Hey" to Mia. I'm so glad you're doing well. Do you know the sex yet of the twins? I've started another IVF cycle, started stimming Saturday. I hope to get pg with twins. I told DH that I would know for sure that I was finished with increasing our family if that happened.

By the way, I noticed that Sam named her baby Sydney. I'll have to say I'm partial to that name. I named my daughter the same but spelled it Sydni Faith. congrats!!!

Hello all,

Surviving motherhood. It is slightly easier than I thought. I did not realize they sleep as much as they do. Of course it is in intervals and I do not have twins, but so far, very managable.

I hope everyone is trucking along.....let me know the latest. I am finally feeling great and ready for some socialization so I will be looking for your posts.

What a great name... Sydni Faith : )

Oh Sam, I'm just so happy for you! What wonderful news, congratulations! Sydney is a lovely name.

How was the c-section? I still have the placenta previa, so my OB has said it's getting pretty certain I'll have a c-section - in fact, he's scheduling me for either 8/6 or 8/7 even though I'll have one more ultrasound next month to be sure. My main worries are the pain and how quickly I'll be able to hold and be with the baby, breastfeed, etc after the c-section. Let me know how things went for you.

I hope you're doing well now that you're home. Keep us posted!

Hi to everyone - it's great to see everyone's doing well.

Congratulations Sam!

She is finally here, what awesome news! I love the name you picked for your baby. I still can't believe that she is here, I still remember you telling us when you got your BFP. Time certainly did go by quickly although you probably didn't think so.

I am so happy for you. Enjoy every minute of it and don't forget to take care of yourself in there as well.

I hope the rest of you ladies are doing well and getting very big :) .

Thanks for all the well wishes. I appreciate it. I am loving motherhood and it is going well. I swear by the swing and baby bjorn. I hope to be a good resource for you guys as a lot is trial and error.

Suzhan- I was scared for the c-section and it really is quite easy. I was put behind the 8 ball as I had about 15 hours of labor before hand but if I had a scheduled C-Section I would have thought it was a walk in the park. Although recovery is harder I feel it is exchanging one pain for another. I have no vaginal pain and going to the bathroom is a breeze. You get an extra day in the hospital ( a real blessing as they can help you extra for breastfeeding which is HARD and gives you another day to rest). It was hard to move but onlyf or about 5/6 days. My bleeding is less than a vaginal birth and I could hold the baby no problem. I was limited on holding her and getting out of bed at the same time. I could not hold right after birth but the moment is a bit of a fantasy. I was so tired and sedated I did not notice or feel the disappointment. I was just happy she was okay.

Next birth I will probably have to have another one and I am 100% okay with that if that means anything. I think if they think you are going to need one than have one scheduled and do not do what I did. I had to recover from a long painful labor and all of that could have been avoided if they new (I had a huge feeling) that she was going to be big with a big head.

Hope that helps

Love,

Sam

Hello everyone!
I had to do another update, since we have such wonderful news. Sam, congratulations again! How nice to hear that you are handling everyting so nicely and it is so far very managable.

Mia and Suzhan, do you know the genders already?

Myhb and Champa, it was nice to hear from you again, do you know when you are starting another cycle?

I hope everybody else is doing well.

I am getting really big. I already gained 45 pounds even though people don't believe it when they look at me. I was underweight to begin with, but still, I think it is a lot. The babies are doing really well and are almost 3 pounds each. They are kicking a lot. On Monday I was told they were both head down already, but I have a low lying placenta so I may still have a C-section, they don't know for sure yet... The babies should be here sometime at the end of next month! I am so excited. It is hard for me to walk or stand for more then 20 minutes, I have a really strong ligament pain on one side when I am on my feet for too long. But other then that everything is good. My baby shower is next Saturday and I cannot wait. I was told it is going to be a big party since a lot of people RSVPed already. Everybody is excited about us finally having babies. I have already wrapped my party favors and bought a nice outfit.

Cannot wait for more updates from you all! Good luck to you! Lola

Sam,
I'm glad to know motherhood is being good to you. You sound like you are the happiest you've ever been. :)

Lola,
I don't know the genders yet. We have not got that far. I have my 1st appt with a Perinatologist on the 22nd and my 2nd OB appt the same week. No US scheduled yet. I should be getting my anatomy US @ 18-20 wks.

Jovigal,
It's good to hear from you. (I left you a message on your May/June buddies thread ) I wish you tons of luck with your new cycle.

Things are topsy turvy here right now. :x Major stuff going on right now... I hope I can handle the stress. First DH is changing jobs. It's better finacially but we will have to be on COBRA with the Health Ins, which will cost over $600 a month for 3-4 months until his new benefits kick in. OK.... fine we can deal. AND now just this past week we found out that our mortgage payment is going to be increased by $700 a month!!! I am so pissed! We asked the Mortgage co and they said the county sent them a tax bill and when they assessed what we need to pay into our escrow account it comes to $700 a month for the next 12 months. We don't want to pay that, we can pay that. We are going to sell our house! :x We just moved in last June. I hate moving, I don't want to move. But my first priority is my babies. They will need things and we need to buy a good family car. We NEED that $700 a month. I can't believe this, I guess it's for the best, I mean we had a really high mortgage payment in the 1st place (100% financing). It would be a relief to get out of those payments. If we rented a house we'd save about $2000 a mo and we wouldn't have to deal with stupid taxes. With the market the way it is, we'll be lucky if we can sell. uuuugh! Sorry to rant. I just can't believe I have to deal with this right now.

Hope you ladies have a better weekend than mine.

Mia,

I feel for you. We were in a similar situation. We also had to move last October when I was 4 months pregnant. Good news is that it is over with and rather now than at the end of pregnancy. We also had a house that we did not think would sell fast....only three people came through and we got two offers so remember that people ARE out there buying. The insurance thing will work out and you will be thankful for the extra money in the long run. It is stressful but I always think it all works out for the better. My husband has just left his job, our isnurance only lasts onemore year which puts us doing IVF sooner than later for our second round which I am not ready for and finances are piling up. On that same note, he is interviewing for better job, how great to have kids close together, and our house is so much better than the last (and a great family car is now in our posession). Keep hanging in there
