Welcome Samantha, good to have another Army wife on the board. I just started taking BCP's on Friday so you are about 3 weeks ahead of me. What can I expect with the shots side effects? I know everyone is different, but Im hoping I have a bit of a warning so Im not freaking out that something is wrong. LOL. I know bloating and some cramping can be normal.

What are your thoughts about the OHSS? Dr says I should not worry about it, that chances are very limited for anything severe. Most I would have would be a lot of bloating and some mild cramping.

P.S. I have Anxiety Disorder, hence the reason I worry constantly. LOL. I battled Panic Disorder in my adolescence and all through college and have finally gotten past panic attacks but I have to admitt with all this new stress and anticipation, my nerves are shot and I feel a lot more anxious than normal.

So sorry guys, I am exhausted!!

bodie- Welcome to the group and congrats on your transfer.... I know that the 2ww is hard but just try to relax and hop on here any time you want too... Glad to hear you joined and the women here are great!! Cant wait to hear how your beta goes! Thinking of you!

we- Your numbers are awesome! I am so happy for you! I know that you are cautious but try to relax and I just pray that your pregnancy continues smoothly!

samantha- Welcome! I know that the whole process seems so overwhelming! Just take it one step/day at a time and you will adjust and it becomes second nature... I am struggling too with the schedule of medication that I need to take. I know that you found a group of great women that are willing to answer any questions you have! Thinking of you and I hope that you have a wonderful day!

AFM- My numbers came back great so now we are moving right along... FET is scheduled for Nov 3....of course as everything goes well... I am going to start my replacement therapy on the 15th.... SO I start estadiol on the 15.... 1 tab then 2 tab then 3 tabs.... I go for my uterine lining check on the 24th...I am so excited! FET got pushed back a week because AF took so long to show up.... I just pray that everything goes well and I just cant wait to get all this started... I decrease my lupron to 5 units tomorrow morning! I cant wait till the 3rd.... I hope you all have a great week!

AFM - AF came today. US showed lining looks good and started Estrace today. FET expected on Oct 28, but will know for sure after next us which is scheduled for 21st.

WeHaveHope, I'm praying for your next beta as it doubles, but you are starting off very strong, could it be twins? I know this surreal and your perspective on life is so true.

Anton, How are you doing? I finished Annabelle's (my next door neighbor's little girl) halloween costume tonight. Plus her birthday is next week, she turns TEN and her mother hasn't gotten back with me yet, but I'm trying to think of creative ideas! Thinking about maybe a porcelain tea set and maybe some blueberry tea (her favorite) to go with. The other day she told me she has started collecting pencils, I have a feeling Belles will be easy to buy for but I want a sentamental gift at the same time.

Leorira, One thing that relaxes me ( lol maybe more of a distraction) is retail therapy. I get more fun out of shopping for gifts, would love to be a personal shopper! Today I checked out my sister Chico stores since we had the Columbus Sale and came home with Christmas gifts. I rationalize my spending since it's gifts and yes I'm the nut who shops early before everything is picked over! I'm also thinking seriously about going back to the salon, with my blond the red-highlights have faded, but I'm not satisfied with my hair.

AFM: No news until Wednesday about the thyroid levels...It was pouring this morning and I got to the clinic late, I was concerned that the courier had already came and we wouldn't have the results back in time for our RE appt. But the nurse told me the vials are being sent to LabQuest so they should have everything back but the antibodies...which might take up to a week to get back. Today was also stressful for dh since he is up for a tenure-track position at the college and his student retention rate is not where it needs to be. He feels his job is on the line, but won't get his evaulation until Feb 2012 so we don't know what to expect. Everyone there, the faculty loves him and he has great rapport with his students but the online classes is where he has challenges with the retention rate. He wants to remain ethical because alot of students deserve the grade given, but at the same time he feels his job is on the line. I was glad our RE appt wasn't today because he is really stressed out from a meeting he had with the divsion head today. On the positive side, he has 4 months to show an improvement with the online classes. Most of us would agree that grades are higher with student's participation in class, but personally I've never had a college online class so idk maybe he could offer more reviews before tests?

Samantha ~ Hoping all the test come back great and you can continue on.

We~Praying that your Beta keeps going up! That makes me realize good beta numbers isn't always just the answer. They need to continue to go up! I had my first without any help and Beta numbers were something I never had to worry about. I also think it is the neatest thing to witness, every little step. How many people get to actually see their follicles turn into something more!

AFM~ I am stressing too much which brings me to a question. For those of you(if any of you do) that take something for anxiety during IVF and even before it begins, what do you take? I think it's time to get back on something for mine but don't want it to mess with IVF when that time comes. If I am stressed this much now, I hate to see myself when on the medications!

Also, is there a diet I can start to follow now to get myself in gear for IVF? I do pretty well now, eating only whole wheat breads, drinking mostly water, love my fruits and veggies etc....

Afm: since Sunday night and posting what I did about the miscarriage and reading some of your responses I actually felt a little bit of a weight had lifted and I was able to even do an unexpected therapy session with a client who needed one. So from the bottom of my heart ladies - thank you.

I also had a call from my clinic and we have a meeting on oct 27. They mentioned the possibility of doing a very short antagonist cycle. HasHahas anyone ever heard of that? Its literally 4 weeks from start to finish including the 2 week wait! They would start me on stimming injections on day 2 of AF and egg retrieval could be about day 12. Seems very short!!!

And finally I know people mentioned both male and female supplements that they found helped - could someone possibly post the names. I think coq10 was one?

I want you to know that you are always in my thoughts and that it's perfectly normal for you to feel the way you do. Time does heal as difficult as that may seem right now. I am praying that God plants peace in your heart and gives you the strength to continue your journey. Sending you a BIG hug.

Gina-thank you for all of your support. I'm so glad to see how active your getting on this board. It's great. The ladies on hear are wonderful so keep reaching out to everyone. About anxiety medication, I'm not really sure about that. I would definantely advise speaking to your RE about this. On one hand you definantely want to be as calm as possible during the process but on the other hand you font want to take anything that may jeopardize anything. So definantely a question for your RE. This cycle I found myself much more calm and accepting of the process. But last cycle I was a complete mess. Always felt like I needed to be in complete control. The waiting and waiting made me crazy. This time I was much more realized after the transfer and really have on some levels come to terms with the fact that I am not in control. That I've done what I can do and the rest is in God's hands. I feel much more at peace which is a good feeling to have amongst all the craziness of IVF. I pray that you ate able to speak with your RE and work something out.

I have heard of this type of cycle but don't really know much about it. Hopefuly someone on this board is familiar and can provide more information.

Sunshine-I love ypur pic. Is the young girl in the pic your neighbor's daughter? She's beautiful. I am sorry about DH. I took an online course years ago and agree, it is not the same. I know that technology has changed but still there is nothing like being in the classroom. Your hubby sounds like he is very smart and I'm sure he will figure out a way to increase the retention with his online class. I am praying for you. I really hope that you get good news tomorrow.
