Hi guys, sorry I have been out lately. We have been at the dog hospital for almost a week now with my little four-legged boy and he just had major surgery to re-route his gallbledder yesterday. We are really hoping he makes it. He is quite a member of our family and it has been pretty stressfull.

I am soo behind and will do my best to catch up!

Gecko girl - I'm so sorry about your bfn. Huge hugs to you. Hope you had some great martinis. I could use one about now too!

Vlada - August sounds like a lovely month to get pregnant! Russia sounds wonderful too. I've always wanted to go. I used to do ballet and dreamed of living in Russia when I was little. I'm so sorry your OHSS was so bad. I hope you get tons of recuperation and sounds like you will be very ready in August!

Vicky - How is Argentina treating you? Are you going to do Lupron for down-regging? I'm on shot day number 4 and so far so good. No irritability (knock on wood) yet. Just tired with all my dog's illness. I'm supposed to test today or tomorrow for pregnancy as we could theoretically be pregnant naturally and am not curagous enough yet to POAS. Even though I have no real hope of bfp. I'm starting Follistim I think around May 31st. I hope your trip is absolutley wonderful and would love to hear all about it.

Christine - When is your next scan? Sounds like your baby is doing great! How are you feeling? I was tremendously tired those first few weeks. Hope you are getting very pampered.

Susan - What a nasty meter maid! Good grief! Like we have time to read some parking meter manual. Good luck with you appeal. I'm sure your belly well shielded you precious embies from the experience.

Hi Ladies

Sorry I have been MIA, I have been following everyone and I am so pleased for all those that got their BFP's and so sad for those who received BFN's.

Thank you to those that have asked about me and wished me well - it is only now, that I feel I can post again. I have been completely bummed out by the whole process, and needed a mini ivf break, but you have all always been in my thoughts.

We are starting again in August and after speaking to my consultant, he wants me to downreg for 2 months instead of 1, he said it would help suppress my endo, and hopefully give me better quality eggs. So I had my first shot at the end of May and I have another at the end of June. So 2 months of headaches, tiredness and hot flushes instead of 1. DH is delighted!

For those ladies who are starting again after their BFN's, are you ready to move out off the 'thoughts and prayers' section of the list?

I hope everyone is well! And congrats again to all those BFP's!

hi there charlie I'm glad your feeling better and ready to go again this ivf is hard going i think its all over for me be having some brown spotting every time i use the pessaries so i kind off know what the result will be on Sunday spoke to hubby last night and we will do it again so ivf num 4 will be Sep/Oct need a holiday first charlie do you have a problem with your egg quality the reason i ask is i have all had good numbers at ec10/11 each time never had any to freeze and my poor we embies have never been of a high grade and you don't have to ans if you dont want to and i'm sorry if IMO being to personal trying to work out why it isn't working for me( god i dont half go on) take care and good luck

Charlie - Great to see you! I'm on day 4 of down regging and am just now starting to get a bit blue. Was doing okay finally and just in time to get back on the roller coaster!! I'm glad your RE is downregging you for 2 months to get the endo under check. I think it's good for the eggs too. They aren't sure why, but statistically you get better egg quality after down regging (bcp or lupron or other) That's why they are having me downreg this cycle. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for us!

Karia - I'm so sorry you saw brown blood. I know it doesn't hellp to hear it, but I had brown blood (and red) throughout my 1st tri with my beautiful baby girl and she didn't mind it a bit. Just drove me crazy! Don't lose hope. I saw you were asking about egg quality. I know they can't do alot to change egg quality, but the way they stim you can have a sizable impact. Some women do better with antagon verses lupron or vice verse and sometimes the mix of stim protocol ie LH to FSH concentrations have a big impact on your egg quality. Also, they have found that if you can handle the suppression without getting over suppressed, that doing downreggign first (2 or more weeks) tends to get higher quality eggs. Alot depends on your hormones, some women have high dhea levels (usually associated with pcos) and do much better with a little prednisone during stim to help with those levels. I hope this is helpful and not just confusing. I really went over a bunch of stuff with my Re and we figured out a better plan (we think) for me this time. I had 10 eggs last cycle and poor quality embies so we are now going to down reg with lupron even though it means possibly losing 1-2 eggs becaue he strongly feels the embie quality will be alot better. Sometimes it takes a few cycles to get it right (this is my 4th!). I'll happily share anything you want to knwo about my cycle if it would be helpful. I'm not ruling out your little ones yet though! I know I like to think ahead too and feel I have options though and understand how it can help distract while waitng for test day. Keepign all fingers and toes crossed for you.

As for me - Well I'm awaiting my 2nd scan on May 30th. I've had very sore breasts and mild nausea, very increased appetite and different pressure in my tummy. I've been a little tired as well but all in all feeling good. My dad got bad news last week as far as his cancer and although the Oncologist believed he has no real option for treatment again - they are trying again. My dad wants to fight to stay alive long enough to see this grandbaby - but knows he will be very sick and may just lose the battle anyways. So I've been very sad and blue over the last couple of weeks. My DD Meagan has been my sweet angel of distraction. She's taking some of her first walking steps by herself and it has brought so much happiness to us! I wish all of you lovely ladies much Baby Angel Dust. Praying for wonderful results for all of you! Thank you all for the wonderful words, it is so nice to hear them!!!
I am going to Russia to visit my lovely family at the beginning of July for two weeks and when i come back i will start my lupron for the fet(i can't be on BCP because of the headaches they give me), i wanted to stay longer with my family but i want my body to be clear from jet lag and ready for the baby. I really really want it to work this time!!!

Charlie is great to here from you. So you have the dreaded Endo as well. Do you get a lot of pain from it???? I hav ebeen plauged by it for years now an di think i can honestly say that it rules my life. Hope the extra month of dr does the trick. Hav eyou had your immunes checked it is just that my killer cells an dtnf levels are all over the place due to my endo and i take treatment to help with that.

Kiara It is not over yet lots of women get brow spoting an dgo on to hav ea BFP so keep positive please. To improve egg quality we have been told to drink 1 litre of milk a day an dto increase our protein intake especially during the stims stage.

Daly how is your dog today??? How is your mood on the dr???

Vlada hope you have a great holiday when you go home. i am very gelous i would love to go to Russia just not in the winter.

Hi Susan - I hope you are hanging in there! Your wait is almost over! Any symptoms yet? Thanks so much for your support! We have only told our parents and a couple of our closest friends. We will wait until we get closer to the 12 week mark to start telling everyone else. It's better this way in case things things don't work out.
