Leora-I'm so sorry! What crappy news! Maybe it's not so bad...if it were me, I would be honest and tell the social worker that you got laid off today, but that financially you and DH are stable and it gives you time to focus on your dream of becoming a mom. How can anyone hold that against you?? Good luck!

Just dropping in for a quick second...finishing up the plans for the weekend boy scout trip!!!

Leorira-I am so sorry. Yes tell the social worker. Nothing is worse as a social worker than getting half truths or lies. You want to be an open book. It should not be a problem if you guys can still provide the basic needs. Also I agree with Sunshine totally. My doctor told me and my DH if we could swing it, I should take an extended leave off from work to be stress free and able to get plenty of rest for my IVF. Well I have to agree with my doctor since this worked. Take the time to enjoy it and relax and focus on just you, your hubby, and your soon to be expanding family.

ASFM- My beta today was 4297. so no more blood work until the 15th when I go for the u/s. Although she did say I can come in next week if I needed to for peace of mind. UH YEAH!!! I'm definitely going. I need to see SOMETHING!!! So far I have completely lost my appetite, suffer from minor indigestion and heartburn and I am so thankful for sore boobs. I cant wait for all of us to make this the after treatment pregnancy board!!! I will do personals late tonight but I am sending PMA, sticky vibes, fertilizer (for growing eggs) , and lots of baby dust!!!!!!

darlene- jeez am with you. i guess knowing when to put up the syringes is the hardest part for me. i try all ways to keep trying if i can, but we have reached almost reached out turning point after this cycle. no kidding this time coz lool the economy if not helping at all. and you always say maybe one more will be the lucky cycle.
Leorira- am so sorry. Being laid off  maybe that is sign for stress free ivf. yes in your first trimester go look for another job they cant fire you then.

krcaja... terrific number! You are going to be a momma! woohoo!

leora - I do believe it could be a blessing in disguise. At least you are getting paid for a couple of months, so you can relax financially. Plus, you will be relaxed for IVF. Like someone else said, you are looking for a better career as far as the social worker is concerned... and you can tell her that, on the plus side, if you get to adopt you can stay at home and be a devoted mother, at least for the first few months... so maybe it will be more favorable for adoption in her eyes. I think this is a sign that a baby is in your very near future and you need to be home !

Hi All... quick post from work.

Leora -- OMG!!! I'm sooo sorry you were laid off! That is so crappy. Does it affect your insurance at all? Just be honest with the social worker. "Stay at home mom" is always a good thing.

hopeisallihave-- Hooray for being PUPO! And possibly having one or two to freeze is great. Sit back and relax and let them settle in good.

Darlene -- I hope so too! Good luck on your appt on Monday. I hope your doc has answers for you.

Tammy -- Good luck! This is your cycle. Update us on your ER when you can.

Margi -- Geeze... did your labs travel by donkey to california? I hope they get there soon.

Lauren -- The roads weren't too bad this morning and I made it in safe. Let us know if you decide to POAS. You're a brave girl!

LYD-- Thank you! Nausea is a known side effect of oral estrogen. I think I've even had it before on BFN cycles but not quite this bad. I hope it means something good... we shall see. Good luck on your u/s tomorrow.

Anton -- Sounds like you are on your way to start stims soon! Very interesting about your gene issues. I hope the injections they are giving you take care of any problems. Thank goodness you found out! How did you find that out exactly??

AFM -- At work and not able to concentrate because I'm so worried about my beta tomorrow. Had a bit of nausea at 11:30 when my tummy was empty so I ate a few crackers and it went away. I'll get to have lunch in a bit anyway. Maybe it's my nerves and not the estrogen. I wish my beta wasn't falling on a weekday. I'm going to try to leave early so I can get the call when I'm not here. I'm going to become super emotional either way and completely unproductive. I just don't feel pregnant at all. :(

Tammy - I can't wait to hear how many mature eggs you got, you sounded like you had great numbers! I can't wait! Super baby dust!

Leora - I am so sorry! That stinks big time. I am glad things will be ok though and like everyone said, it is not your fault and you can take the time to concentrate on having a baby! Huge hugs and try not to stress out! Hope you get some sun so you can get a nice long warm shower!

Lou - Super BFP dust for you tomorrow and we are all ready for a big celebration!

Margi - Come on labs - we need the protocol!!!!!!!!!!!

Anton - really interesting about your shots, I love cheesecake! I love Dexter too!

Hope - congrats on gorgeous blasts!!!!! You are PUPO!

CJ - good luck on Friday!

Penny - good luck trying the old fashioned way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Urgggg - where did my post go??? i saw other people get mad at their lost posts and always thought that was a user error - but now i know - it is not! stupid post - where did you go? and i typed up so much good stuff!!!

OK, here it is in a nutshell.

Leora - i agree with everyone - this is a blessing in disguise. you can take a break and tell the social worker that you are planning to be a stay home mom for a while because you guys can afford it and you can give more attention and care to teh adopted child. she should be thrilled by that.
BTW, i am also jewish (of russian decent). and my hat is off to you and your husband for living in Israel - from what i hear it comes with its rewards and its challenges.
and that russian post was a spam - inviting us all to Yalta, Crimea, on Black Sea. which is not a bad place BTW :) except they didnt offer any IF specific things in the spam - if you are going to spam then make it useful at least :)

what else? oh yeah - Leora - you are just on menopur? interesting protocol, no gonal f or follistim? but you are so young - it probably doesnt matter - i bet you grow follicles like grapes :) it sounds like you've made plenty of eggs in past cycles. i forgot - how does your embryo quality turn out?

Anton and Leora - isnt Modern Family just awesome! i love love love that show. so tight! you blink and miss a good line. 22 minutes of good jokes, acting and editing! How about that Gloria character on there! i love her accent - so funny. and she is so gorgeous! Come on, people - its gotta be illegal to be that gorgeous! how are the rest of us supposed to make due now :) Cameron is hilarious, too.

Lou - its goona work, its gonna work!!!! i am usually not an optimist myself - but for some weird reason i am choosing to be one this time. i am really liking your nausia symptoms.

well - i think i've reproduced all of my wisdom from teh lost post :) and to think it could have been completely lost to society :)

Lou, I can't believe you haven't been peer-pressured into POAS yet. I am holding onto lots of PMA for you tomorrow! I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed that tomorrow is a day of good news for both of us!

Lauren: Hope the roads are better tomorrow so you can BUY THOSE STICKS!!!Image

LYD10: I too hate when a post gets lost…grrrr..especially if I have already put my blinkies in. I always type and save to word and then cut and paste now. Keep on stimming away!! And you speak Russian! Wow…I am impressed…and also Jewish. Wow. 3 of us on one board. :D

Leora: WT---?!?! Don’t they realize what a gem they just lost? Well, apparently not! Maybe it is a blessing in disguise…as lots have already said, there are several positives to it. No having to give yourself shots in the office bathroom for one! What was DH's reaction? This is a stressor you don't need....definitely turn it upside down and make it a postive. Still sending you some ...Image

Subha: How are you feeling?

Lou: I totally understand and appreciate your nerves. I am hoping that tomorrow brings you bright and exciting BFP news so that you are super-emotional and unproductive for a very, very good reason. What time is your beta for all of your cheerleaders that want to stalk you!! This is it!!!! Image

Tammy: Can’t wait to hear your report from today. Hope that you are feeling ok.

SD: Getting close to your ER…how is stimming going?Image

Sherry: How did things go today?!?!

Carol: Tomorrow is going to be a GREAT day for you…good luck with SnS tomorrow.Image

Hope: They look beautiful!! I think they resemble DH….rest and enjoy the pampering! You deserve it!!Image

Kristin: Congratulations! Awesome beta. Sorry about the early preggo symptoms…eat those crackers and perhaps some mint tea?Image

Darlene: Au-naturale? Sounds good….Image

AFM: Waiting to hear from clinic...still... I called the lab this morning and they STILL hadn't sent my faxImage. But she promised they would send them right out...so hopefully I will be getting a call soon. Waiting on CA time :)

Hello, ladies! I hope you're all doing well.

We had ER today and they got 21 eggs. Our first fert report should come some time tomorrow. I am sore as all get out, but have not had to take anything. It's not too bad anyway. ET is Tuesday morning.

I feel badly for not doing personals like everyone else. I do apologize. I'd like to get to know you ladies. I need to read the posts more often. Thank you all for being there for me.
