Congrats wishing! I can't wait for this embryologist to call so I can question why he's pickin a 3dt when I have 6 eggs growing...any thoughts ladies?

Lauren...I'm sorry that the news upset you, but please try to stay optimistic! I had 7 eggs at ER, 6 fertilized and 2 stopped growing so we were left with 4 to freeze on day 3 (I don't know if you remember but we had to do a freeze all). They had to thaw all 4 just to get two to transfer! You still have 6 growing! That is wonderful and they belong in their mommy. Let us know what the embryologist says...and keep your head up. Prayers coming your way!

Hey ladies...

Ok so I'm like really upset right now!

I got the call and the nurse said all 6 divided overnight and they want to set me up for transfer tomorrow? When I asked her why all she said was that the embryologist just tells her what the eggs did and when transfer is! I said well I wanna know more? Is there something ur not telling me? Am I wrong? I asked her to have the embryologist call me! I don't even know what I'm gonna say other than why tomorrow? Isn't it best to wait so we can pick the best ones? I'm so confused..

Somehow I must have missed your post! I didn't realize you posted until I saw Ryann's response to you. I know it's easier said than done b/c I would be having the exact thought as you are having if I was in the same situation, but you have to celebrate that all 6 are still growing & dividing! Having a 3dt is not a bad thing. There are cons & pros of both a 3dt & a 5dt; I think some REs just have a personal preference.
Please keep us updated as to what the embryologist says. I'm thinking of you!

Oh Adkelp, my heart goes out to you!!! I know exactly what you are going through as this happened to us and such earth-shattering news. It's very common from what my obgyn initially told me, which is true so many friends around us told us their own personal story which made me feel I wasn't alone in going through this. I cried for months but take all the time you need to grieve with dh, plant a rose garden in your babies honor and please know we are certainly here for you. Sunshine1576

Today has been an emotional rollercoaster and I don't know what to do with this week...My meds came in early this morning from a very dependable pharmacy out in California. I am still testing negative and want to know something before the weekend gets here since I will be traveling home. DH has already arranged to be off from work mid August for out next IUI, but it seems AF is screwing with me and it's going to affect my appointment times if I cannot get AF to come! Sorry I'm so moody...maybe it's a sign.

Ok, so I feel like this cycle is dragging! I'm still in the suppression stage & I don't go in for a baseline for 1 week & 3 days. Hopefully, all looks good & I can start stimming. Maybe it feels like that b/c it's summer vacation & I don't have the schoolday as a distraction. I could go out shopping, but we are on a tight budget...trying to save as much as we can. We are going to look at 3 houses later today. Tomorrow, I'm going over a friend's house for lunch & to hang out w/ her & her 2 kids at her pool. Later tomorrow, I'm going out for a girls' night out to dinner & a movie (Friends w/ Benefits) w/ my SIL & a couple of friends. Thursday, I have to stop by my RE's to get consent forms & then grabbing lunch w/ a teacher friend. We don't have any weekend plans, but that might change.
Tick, tock. Tick, tock. That's how I feel. Maybe I should start some lesson planning

Moorebaby- thank you for the kind words I know how you feel about the it feeling like forever to start. this cycle for me was the longest.

we- Congrats. Last cycle I made a co-worker POAS so I could compare hers to mine..LOL so I understand about going to get it out of the trash..too funny

lauren- try not to be too upset. Plenty of women get pregnant on a 3 day transfer and I am sure you will too.

AFM: Thank you ladies for letting my vent yesterday. ER went good we have 7 eggs and they will call today with a progress result on ours and the donor. Then I use they will freeze them tomorrow I am cramping alot this time. ugh the tape they used for my i.v started itching so they had to give me benadryl before we even got started. I told them since it was my 4th time I thought I would give them trouble Then when the nurse was trying to get me situated on the table one of the stirrups fell off & I was like see I am trouble. Anyways about to lay down for awhile. I will post once I hear something.

AFM, I can't believe how vibrant and alive this board is. I have been pretty sick the last week or so with wicked m/s, but have been reading up on everyone and trying to stay current. This is an amazing group of women and we are all so very blessed to have each other! DH and I went in today for our first u/s and to our complete surprise.... IT'S TWINS!!!!! We saw 2 perfect sacs, 2 perfect babies, 2 perfect heartbeats, and they are both measuring right where they should be. We are in shock, especially DH, but could not be more elated and feel any happier than I do right now. I will keep you all updated as we progress. Love and baby dust to you all!!!!!!!

ok so the embryologist called and this is what he said....out of the 6 2-3 of them arent dividing as nicely as they should. So with that being said he would rather pick the best two or three embryos and put them back in there natural enviroment at this point. I asked him if he would be able to tell if they were of better quality than my previous cycles...he said he will give me all that info tomorrow...cell stage and quality and grading. My poor DH is very upset...he says this emotional rollercoaster is gonna kill him! So here we are...transfer day tomorrow. hope those embabies are good ones! nthxs for all the support

Akelp-I am so sorry for your loss. I know that there is nothing that anyone can say to make the pain go away but please know that we ate all here for you and love you. You and DH are in my thoughts and prayers.

Lauren-I know that this is a very unpredictable rollercoaster. I always try to remain grounded about IVF but truly it doesn't help with the pain when things like this happen. Keep your chin up and your spirits high. The re's of your embabies will be home soon where they belong. Best of luck tomorrow. I will be praying for you.

Akdelp-Sooo sorry to hear your news I couldn't even begin to imagine how you must feel. How does something like this happen? (having a heartbeat and then stopping?) I wish this process was less complicated than it is. You are in my thoughts.

Keep dancing Kbanks, I think it's working, but not quite happening yet! I did go ahead and call my clinic, we are looking at ordering 1800 UNITS of Follistim, and something called letrosal (msp) to help keep all the follicles growing at the same rate. My choices for appointments are Thursday 7:45 OR Friday at 8:10am with the three hour commute, but when this works it WILL be worth it!
