Margi...very exciting! Go to your accu appt ...most accupuncturists recommend going right after transfer...so I'm sure IUI isnt any different. Heck, if you can go straight there from IUI, even better....though I'd call your accupuncturists and ask them for sure. Good Luck.

Margi - Holy wow, tomorrow?!? That is so awesome and I'm so glad your follies are looking fab! You'll be PUPO tomorrow!! You're going to have to hold down the mayorship of crazytown until Nancy, Annie, & I join you after our ET. And BTW, I will no doubt POAS. I have a closet full of internet cheapies and a fresh box of FRERs. But, I probably will try to wait until I'm pretty close to beta time so I don't ding my PMA.

Krys - I'm sorry the u/s didn't go well, but with your hcg levels so low still, I wouldn't think they'd even be able to see a sac yet, much less a heartbeat. Most of the time they can't see a sac until hcg levels reach 1500-2000. And most don't see the heartbeat until almost 2 weeks after that. Did they do another beta to see if the number is still rising?

Brandy - any more news on a repeat beta?

Victoria - great to hear from you and Daisy is so freaking adorable!! What a love!!

Krys -- The result we all dread. Worse than getting a BFN to begin with. I hope you can take some time off work today to cry it out and eat some Haagen Dazs. How heartbreaking. I watched "Giuliana and Bill" (E!channel reality show, for those who are not losers like me), and they did their IVF cycle on this week's episode. It was so exciting to see the doctor tell them they were pregnant (I cried)--although I hear they lost the baby at 9 weeks. So freaking sad.

I can't wait to hear about everyone's retrievals! Numbers, ladies!

As Mayor of Crazytown, I've been doing a couple of things:

1) Wondering what "days past" 3dt means. It means you can't count the day of transfer, right? I'm trying to get credit for as many days of waiting as possible. But with a Saturday ET, today is only 5dpo. What a gyp!

2) Took a pee test today to see how much hcg is in my system (took a shot 3 days ago) and nothing showed up at all (good for baseline). I decided to stop the booster hcg shots and start up the magic bullets (suppositories). I hate them (can you say crumbly candle wax?) but I want information as it becomes available! (POAS)

They took another beta test so I will hear those results later.
Nobody seemed very hopeful though. Its hard to hang on to hope when the professionals dont have any to begin with.

Meinemo....You're in Chicago too? Me too! What clinic do you use? All you POAS addicts crack me up...will you POAS every day now? That's a liot of sticks! I stocked up on Dollar Store sticks, but now I am wondering if I will have the guts to actually use them.

Victoria...I LOVE Daisy....puppies seem to be the trend around here! I have 2 boxers....it looks like that is what Daisy is??

Tess...Sorry about the migraine...I hope you're feeling better today! How nice to be able to stay home and have all the animals to snuggle up with (even if they DO have gas issues-I know mine do!)! DH and I went back and forth about waiting for the "right time" to start IVF and I basically told him that there will always be SOMETHING that makes us wonder if we should wait. If everyone waited for the perfect time then no one would have children. I want one, even if I end up having no money and have to stay in and eat frozen dinner every day, at least I'll be doing it with DH and our baby!

Rio...I'm right there with you! I totally jealous (sure excited for you all, but jealous!) about all the girls that are PUPO and so close to being PUPO. I feel like November 11 is soooooo far away! I think it's okay to be a little jealous as long as we are supportive at the same time!! The pups are def driving me a little nutty! But you are SO right...they deserve a little boy (and so do I!)

Osi....In case I don't get on again before tomorrow...GOOD LUCK! In terms of napping in the afternoon....my dumb self got a brand new puppy, so there goes the naps!!!!

Crystal...I had the exact opposite...Mine was too high right off the bat and they had to lower my meds. It seems pretty normal that they have to play around with your dosage. If they told you not to worry then I would try not to worry.

BLang...YIKES! So your RE told you to stop meds...and now you're preggo?? I REALLY hope it wasn't to late to start back up on your meds...I'll keep you and your little baby in my prayers!

Kaylie...PLEASE try to keep the PMA up. I know it sucks having to frosties, but you have 2 in you right now. Don't count them out!

So just how long does the hcg stay in your system? I tested at 7dpo and there was a faint but obvious line, then tested again this morning - 9dpo and there is still a line. I am 11 days past my trigger shot, and it was really faint at 7dpo. Wouldn't it have faded by now?

I do feel like I'm pregnant.. all the usual symptoms - sore boobs, bitchy and over emotional. It's the first time I've felt really positive and/or accepting of what's going on. Any input? Gonna ask ghost about the hcg as well..

DandMe: Since I've been wondering this, too, I looked online and someone said you lose 1000 each day. Like, if your shot was 10,000, by 10dpt, you should have the hcg out by then. Who knows if this is accurate?! For me, though, I took 13,000+ total over the past 9 days, and it's already out of my system--likely, every woman metabolizes differently. In your case, because of the way you tested, you sound preggers!

Typell1985: I've gone to Fertility Centers of Illinois at the River North location, and now at UIC Fertility Clinic (Dr. Scoccia). I got my p tests from early-pregnancy-tests.com. I don't feel guilty testing too much when they're so cheap.

Oh, and we have two dogs, too. Purchased while in the midst of TTC. We are so predictable, right?

Tess.....I feel for you and your migraines. I suffered for years with at least 2 a month, not knowing that it was birth control causing it. As soon as I stopped it because we started trying, I noticed I didn't get them anymore. Now every time I have to go on bcp I get scared. Even worse...pills and lupron. The first time I did lupron, I had one for 3 days...wanted to die. Couldn't get o.ut of bed. Have u ever tried to put 2 tennis balls at the base of your neck. I know it sounds weird, but it can help some. Or...Go get massage....u deserve one. Hope u feel better.

Rio....I'm jealous too! All in a good way though. Sometimes I feel like it's happening to me regardless of the result.

Tammy.....I can't believe how well u bounce back. U re fierce! I admire your spunk of telling the clinics how things r going to go. I don't know enough to do it, but I'm learning!

Afm.....yeah.....I agree with with all of u regarding mu SIL. The entire time I was biting my tongue, I felt like saying...shut the f:ck up....biyatch! Oh...and then slap her! So....I am so tired this morning....slept none. I counted my lupron days and it's 23 days....does that sound right to u guys? That's a long time isn't it?

Krys- I'm so sorry about your u/s. I know it is hard to be positive when the doctors arent! However...your beta has to rise up near 10K to see a hb. I don't know how many weeks you are, but I didn't see ours (from last pregnancy) until a bit over 6 weeks. So you are not out of the game! I'll be sending you positive energy!

DandMe- I think the hcg trigger stays in your system on average of five days. So you are well past it giving you a false positive! wooo whoo! Can't wait to see how your poas marathon progresses! Sounds very very very promising!!!
