Amanda M...I also had a lap done and was super glad that they did. They couldn't see all my fibroids/polyps on the ultrasound and found one big one blocking my uterus opening that needed removed. Good Luck today!!! Praying for you!

Margi...So glad that they finally got the labs. That's just crazy. They were only going by fax and took that long?! Couldn't the lab fax them straight to CA? Your numbers look terrific. They're in the normal range and are almost identical to mine. WTG! Just for fun...2 weeks ago, mine were: FSH: 7.8, TSH: 1.06, and E2: 34. Do you know what your AMH or LH were?

So a day later - I'm feeling a lot better about being laid off. I think it was just the shock that upset me. I was there 2.5 years and suddenly I'm told to go home and never come back??? I didn't really love that job, it was just super convenient. I got a great severance package (3months salary + paid for my leftover vacation/sick days) - so money isn't an issue for the next few months (I also get a little bit of unemployment money on top of that). Having this month off (while I'm doing the cycle) is probably a good thing. So I'm more relaxed about it today. Kinda excited not to go to work on Sunday or Monday or Tuesday etc.

The biggest issue is my depression. If I don't have things to do during the day, I'll get really down, really fast. So far, my SAHM and other unemployed friends have all asked me to hang out with them - so hopefully I'll keep busy!

I've also calmned down about the social worker meeting. I got laid off on Thursday - I get paid for this month - and I'm already looking for something new ---- that has to be a good sign! Plus, David earns enough for us to live on - so we'll be fine.

Also - one thing that I've hated about being overweight is that I didn't start showing (even with twins) until about 19-20 weeks - that'll be GREAT when looking for a new job while pregnant! Blessing in disguise!

Kristin - YAY! What a great beta! I'm sure there will be something on the u/s. My clinic does do an u/s at 5.5 weeks - to check 'how many' took (even if we transferred 1, which I think is a little weird, but whatever). As long as you don't get your hopes up to see things that aren't there yet, early u/s are fine!

Lou - nope, doesn't affect my insurance at all --- HURRAY FOR NATIONAL HEALTH CARE! As long as I'm a citizen, I get my free IVF! I'm praying so hard for your BFP!

LYD10 - I always copy my post before I hit 'submit'. This isn't the most sophisticated website! Another Jew! We are clearly taking over the world! Yeah, living in Israel is definitely not boring! I think we'll really be happy here in the long run (although I miss WalMart and Costco a lot!)

Modern Family is seriously the BEST show on TV. So tightly written and so well acted. I love it!

Margi - I called my former boss (who was laid off in October - and I got her job) and she was shocked. Apparently, they are having SERIOUS financial trouble. She doesn't think I'll have any trouble finding a new job. David is still waiting for me to fall to pieces, but I don't think that will happen. He is walking on eggshells around me and doing so many nice things for me ('here, honey, I brought you some tea', 'no, honey, I'll fold the laundry') --- it's so cute!

Sherry - that's awesome! Congrats!

Amanda - waiting for the beta is so stressful - let us know how it goes.

Kimber - congrats on being PUPO! I'm sorry the others didn't make it to frosties and that your experience wasn't good. The full bladder thing is really hard and uncomfortable.

Tammy - we plan to stay here forever. The only reason I would move back is if my family in the USA needed me (if my mom was sick or something awful like that). Life here is pretty much like life anywhere. ---- I'm so sorry about your awful anesthesia experience! I really hope all 5 make it into beautiful embryos!

AFM - fingers crossed so tightly for our two beta girls today!

still chugging along at 2 menopur a day.... I go back Sunday.... So that's 5 doses of 2 vials of Menopur before another S&S... seems like a long time.... I hope everything is growing as it should! I'll probably start my ganirelix on Sunday too.

Hi all, I hate being MIA on this board for too long as it seems I miss out on a whole lot! I've been so extremely bloated and tired, I really haven't been feeling like doing much, even if on bedrest. I've also been feeling extremely dizzy/lightheaded for the past 8 hours or so which has me really worried.

I'm typing on my phone with some discomfort, but wanted to wish our two girls, lou and amanda, some good luck for their big day. Thinking about you and praying for you both! I hope to be feeling better tomorrow so I can enjoy being PUPO as I'm finding it quite hard to do so currently.

Leora, so sorry about your job. Try keeping yourself busy during the day so the depression doesn't hit you too hard. I've been there, so I'm quite familiar with that. Take it easy.

Margi, yay, finally!!

Tammy, hopefully you'll hear back an excellent fert report in the morning.

No personals today as im knackered and still got so much to do?
So i had another u/s today and so far after 5 days of stimming she counted
13 follicles/eggs (not sure) and has started me on cetrotide tonight (omg)
this is happening so fast. I mean is there still a possibility of more developing??
My DH is over the moon lol!! or should i say DR DH .
I have another appointment on monday but im not sure what for? Can anyone help?
and what is estergen as they took more blood? (excuse the spelling) x So as for
now im on 150ml gonal F unless told otherwise via a phone call and 250mg of cetrotide x

Leora - So sorry to hear about your job. It could be a blessing in disguise though. It will give you more time to focus on having a baby. And give you the rest you need during your cylce. I left my job recently to focus on having a baby & while it has been a hard adjustment, now that I have adjusted I am very happy. My hub & I have so much more quality time together & my house is slowly coming together. We used to think of our house as a hotel, because we were really only in it to sleep, as we were both so busy with our jobs.

Kat - Sorry about your windshield. Arrrgh! Hope you are feeling back to normal. I know I am. About to get my 4th work out in since IVF & I am feeling like my old self. The meds are finally leaving my body. BTW my appt. was switched to Tue. Bummer I really want to hear more about what the doc thinks.

Tammy - Thanks for thinking of me. As I mentioned above I am really starting to feel back to normal, so that is a good thing. I hope you are feeling better today. Sorry you had to go through all that. I would be pissed too. I will be praying that all 5 fertilize.

AFM: Out of the 5 eggs retrieved, only 4 were mature, but all 4 did fertilize with ICSI. Bill's counts and motility were awesome!!...and he has male factor, too. They're going to call me back this afternoon with a time for Sunday since I'm trying to make babysitting arrangements. They were going to make me wait till tomorrow when they call...till I explained that I really need to know today. So maybe I'll get an extra update on my babies, too. lol Fingers crossed.

Zach is very sick again. I'm taking him in after his nap. He sounds awful...he either has croup, bronchitis, RSV, upper respiratory infection, or just a bad cough/cold. Poor little guy. He has never really been sick...but 2011 has taken it's toll on us already. He has had the flu then a cold and now this...in the past 3 weeks. We have huge snow tubing plans at a local ski resort with both our families tomorrow, too...it is our Christmas gift to all of our nieces and nephews. I may be home now with Zach instead. Besides...I'm still really really sore. Very disappointing.

Tiger - We are both only 8 days post ovulation so it's early. I did not buy any tests yet but I think AF is coming! I have spotting and severe chocolate cravings. It always comes very early when I cycle long. I really doubt it's implantation bleeding. I am not mad because I really was not expecting positive results. I am for you though!!!!

Tiger - if you really are 8dpo it is too early and you might not have HCG in your blood much less in your pee, PMA and don't let that get you down, when is your beta?

Leora glad you feel better, you are so lucky you can make it on one income, that is a huge relief. We would lose our house if one of us lost a job right now. You have a pup right? Take him for walks, watch a little TV, go visit some places you haven't been to in a while, visit a coffee shop and watch the world go by, take naps and rest up so that when you get pregnant and have your baby, you have some rest built up!!!! You will do great on Monday!

Tammy - thanks for the info. So i got worried because i also have reflux and I asked my doc about it and he said that's why we dont have you eat or drink for 12 hours before the enesthesia. maybe i'll even give myself a few extra hours with no food/drink - to make sure my stomach is completely empty.

Tammy - it looks like i'll be on the same schedule as you but just one week later! they are estimating my ER on thursday next week and ET - they havent said - but i would imagine on sunday.

Margi - isnt it so frustrating that in 21st century they are still faxing (or even failing to fax) lab results. shouldnt this stuff be all online in a centralized database! urgg - ridiculous how medical records are behind the times.

AFM, I had my 2nd SnS today (its been 8 days of stimms). My U/Ss are so painful!!! My uterus is wayyyyy back and I was full of poop today to make matters worse. So she had to hike that stick in a vertical position, practically tearing through my vaginal walls. Ohhh – I screamed in pain and almost cried. Anyway, the U/S tech managed to get some pics and the doc got what he needed. I continue to have 2 groups of follies – one group over 10 already and another group under 10. The doc says I am following the same development as last time. He is projecting my ER for Thursday, but we’ll know more in the afternoon after they get my b/w results and he talks to the embryologist who is in a different office just down the road. I imagine I’ll have a 3 day transfer, which means they have to come in and do it on Sunday. You know – I told those guys to start me earliers but thek kept me on lupron for extra days trying to optimize their calendars. Now it looks like they will have to work on weekend.

We got the results from our fertilization report. Out of the 21 retrieved, 18 were mature and 15 fertilized. I hope the news stays good. We've never done IVF before, so I have no idea what to expect from here on out. Transfer is Tuesday.
