Tams, the doctor’s office called us and sounded concerned when she told us our numbers and she said that it sounded like there were two in there, so I was sort of expecting it, but it was still a pleasant surprise since everyone’s numbers vary and any range can indicate twins.

Quita, you have all the PME I can muster! It will go well, and no, it was not just an imagined thing. It will be here before you know it.

Welcome Lolajones! I know what you are talking about, I used to worry about most sensations, but I am now just getting used to them, I figure God wants us to have these, so it will happen and be ok.

JesJes, our US was transvaginal, it is the most action I have gotten in a while… sad, I know. LOL

Lola, welcome. I didn't ever think I could worry as much as I did during the 2ww, but I have aged 20 yrs since then - I also had some spotting and then my numbers weren't doublng as they ought to. Every time I sit up in bed or twist I worry - I hope this eases soon otherwise its going to be a VERY long 9 months!

Fab news Miss Piggy, you must be so hapy, one big milestone achieved!

Quita, Steph any news?

Yes, I have exactly the same - I spoke to the doctor about it and apparently the progesterone makes your muscles relax which means that when you do try and use them they cramp up. I'm not sure this is going to make me feel any less like the embryo might come unattached but I suppose it makes SOME sense?!!

lol: :D Eight weeks and two days!!! (according to my scan) :D

So I have jumped forward 3 days cool!

Thankyou everyone I was soooooo nervous can't tell you.

Did my last HPT today (that makes 6 but remember no blood work and one was from the pound shop and doesn't count). and the line appeared straight away but not as dark as that other line you get. Which supprised me cos I thought by now surely it should be darker.

Panic

Don't be silly it means nothing. Calm down for the babi(es) everythings fine...ahhhh

DH was really sweet all the way there. Thr traffic was lousey, road works and every bump in the road you feel, don't you!

After about 45 mins I was starting to really nead the loo again but every light was red and I swear all the old people of sussex (and believe me there are many) seemed to be out in force, driving in hats at one mile an hour and crossing roads sl ow l i ly on there zimmers, so I (who am usually a smiley nice person) found myself swearing and shouting abuse in the car - which my DH though was very funny!

After another 45 mins we were there and God was a glad to see the toilet, I had nearly forgotten about my scan.

I rubbed the Budda's tummy in the waiting room for good luck and waited...

Finally at 10.31 and 20secs

we were called in my consultant. Who is a funny one. I have decided that I ike him but he never smiles, he doesn't shake hands and he speaks in a very serious Korean accent and always tells you all the things that can go wrong.

So I got up on the bed ready for the internal and he waved the magic stick around inside me lokking grim faced at the monitor which was turned away from us. 30 second later when he still hadn't spoken I feared the worsed and got DH to come and stand beside me and hold my hand. Another 45 seconds past I lay ther with my eyes shut, my right leg shaking. When he finally spoke.

So MRS *** we have twins! We would preffer to see one baby (I am so naughty) but as you can see they have healthy hearbeat each and are of a good size!

So be precise we have twins!!!!!! On the top of the picture it says

Twin one lenght 16.2mm 8w 2d due date 04-dec-07
Twin two lenght 15.0mm 8w 0d due date 06-dec-07

We are so happy, scared and delighted I can't tell you. Going to need a bigger bedroom. Oh bugger will we ever sleep again? My sisters are going to think its halarious. But it is sooooo coool.

My mum knows I am pg and I told her today everthing went fine but she doesn't know about the twins yet. Gonna tell her on sat. My sisters don't even know I'm pg yet they think I am still stiming Ha ha!

Gonna tell them Sat as well.

Thank you for all your words of support. Hope everybody's elses scan's went well today. well done Miss Piggy how brave are you doing that on your own!

Good to have you on board Lola. PS I love your name might steal it.

DH thinks Ron and Jeremy LOL he is a bad boy.

Ps finally had sex too and it was great! What a day!

Congratulations Quita!!!!!!!!! It was worth the wait!!!!! I'm so thrilled for you and the TWINS :D

My scan was great today also. It is absolutely amazing how much of a difference there is between the 6 week scan and the 8 week scan. The first one all we could see was a little circle with a flutter in it (the heart beat)

Today it looked like a little person! :o We saw the head and the body and they did this blood flow scan where we could watch the blood from me passing through the umbilical cord into the baby, it was amazing. Anyway, the little one is measuring perfect at 8 weeks, 4 days and the heart beat was really strong at 169.

Unfortunately my DH was out of town on business today so he couldn't be there :( but my mom drove in yesterday and went with me. Today is her 60th birthday so she got to see her first grandchild! Can't ask for a better B-day present. :D She started crying when we got to hear the heartbeat. I'm so happy she was able to go with me.

Well girls, I'm so thrilled I really don't know how I will get any work done this afternoon but I guess I better try.

Thanks to all of you for checking in on me!!!

XO

Quita, Steph - that is such fantastic news!!!! Quita I can't believe you're having twins! Has it sunk in yet?! Do either of you feel that you will worry a little less now having seen the heatbeats on the scan? Does it feel more real now?

Such good news, I am smiling!

XXXX Tams
ps can't believe you've had sex, well done! I have a horrible feeling that I will be too worried until after the 12 wks recommended by Zita West - perhaps I'll feel less worried post scan?!!

Miss Piggy, Steph, & Quita,
Way to go girls!!!! What a relief to see those little hbs huh? It's been a week since I saw mine & I am trying very hard to hold off on getting another look although would love to see them.

Clarissa, Good luck on your scan tommorrow. I am sure you will see your little one(s) looking good.
