Hi Ladies,
Well I'm going in tom for the blasto transfer. Last call from the embriologist showed everything still looking great. I'm going to have acupuncture right before the procedure, then I'll be on bedrest for a few days. I know the jury is still out as to whether bedrest helps, but I'm really looking forward to it. I've got my stack of library books & all my snacks, so I'm ready.
My poor little dog has been really sick for a couple of days. I had to take her to the vet yesterday because she stopped eating & drinking. They think she has gastritis. She seems to be doing a little better today. She drank some broth and I'm making her some rice for dinner. When you don't have a real baby, you tend to go crazy for your furbaby I guess.
Hope everyone is still doing well. Best of luck to the 2WW'ers. I'll be joining you tom.

2ndtimer - my puppy stopped eating last week about this time. Maybe our pups can relate to what we are going through!!! thankfully my little guy started eating again!! hope yours does too. I completely relate to the furbaby in our family! Best of luck with the ET tomorrow!
Dcu917 - sorry to hear about your beta dropping. After the second chemical I had, my clinic did some additional testing. I had a HSG done to make sure the 'plumbing' was okay with me (which it was) and they did some blood tests (blood clotting disorders mostly) as well. Everything came back normal so the problem didn't seem to lie with me. After our 6th attempt they tested my DH for sperm fragmentation and we found out it is quite high which can result in early miscarriages or repeated IVF failures. So, hopefully we have solved that problem and this cycle will be lucky #8!!!
Squeezan - how are you doing? any symptoms?
I am doing quite well actually. My bbs are really sore which is a good sign for me. Both times I've had bfps my bbs have been sore for the whole time - every other time they stop part way through the cycle. Plus I had some strong cramps a few days ago which have now gone away. I hope they are symptoms but even if they are progesterone side effects I don't care because they are ensuring my PMA stays with me through this second week (which is always the hardest for me).
Thinking of everyone!!!

2ndtimer - Good luck with ET today. Enjoy the next few days of taking it easy, it sounds like you're well prepared.
Kelly - I'm doing ok thanks. We're past the half-way mark at last!
I had a lot more cramps this time then niggly pains and twinges the last few days. Don't know if this is a good sign but I haven't had them before so trying to keep positive. I'm not on progesterone or anything else so don't think its side-effects.
dcu917 - sorry to hear about your beta

Kelly and Su not long now, hang in there your doing great, symptoms sound good for you both, i've everything crossed you'll be joining me soon.
As for me my wedding anniversary today, and woke up to some brown discharge, phoned the clinic and they said not to worry (yeah right!!) could be the embryo implanting, take it easy today and if it changes colour to let them know. So thats my planned shopping trip out the window, DH has me on the couch and i'm not allowed to move.
All you ladies across the pond enjoy your thanksgiving tomorrow.

Next appt 5th Feb to see where we go from there...
Well, I truly thought this was going to be my turn. Yesterday morning I woke up and all my symptoms were gone. Today I did an hpt (11dp3dt) and it was bfn. I have pretty much given up hope. I just don't understand. We've been through 8 rounds and have had beautiful embryos transferred (this time 6 of them). I've had all the tests done and this time we even used donor sperm because my DH has high sperm fragmentation. What could possibly be the problem?
We are now going to try donor eggs but whose to say that my eggs are the problem since I am only 35.
Maybe this isn't meant to be.

KellyM,
My heart goes out to you. I don't think anyone could ever try harder than you have. I not sure even what else to say but please know that you are in my thoughts. I'm hoping the HPT is wrong. That's part of the most frustrating thing about this, you can do everything you're supposed to & it still doesn't work.
Have you considered adoption? I wish I would have gone that route years ago. I don't care if the baby doesn't look like me or DH. I just want to be Mom.
Please take care of yourself & know that there are alot of people out there hoping for your happiness.
I better go. I'm on the last day of bedrest.

Thanks 2ndtimer. It is a tough day for me today!
I am now looking into either donor eggs or surrogacy - can't figure out which route to try first. I wish someone could tell me why this isn't working.
We have looked into adoption but part of the problem is that my DH is older so domestic adoption is virtually impossible and some overseas adoption isn't possible either. There are some countries we could adopt from but I was hoping to have a baby as a newborn. We will investigate the adoption route after trying donor eggs and surrogacy but I do wonder whether we should start that now.
I sure wish this was easier for us all!!
When do you test?

I test Dec 5. They transferred 2 grade A blastocytes. Haven't heard if any made it to freezing, there were 4-6 possibilities.
I keep trying to imagine the blastos with looking like germs with big teeth and pointy claws. I know that sounds crazy, but I think it would help them to hang on. DH is referring to them as the "paracites," as in "have our little paracites started to feed off the host yet?" I cracks me up. I guess we both have twisted senses of humor. This being the 5th transfer I've had I guess it's better to laugh than cry.

hi Ladies, just back from my scan, we are having twins and we got to see both heartbeats, one is measuring 6 weeks and the other 6weeks 1 day. Back on 10th Dec for next scan.
2nd Timer, hope your hanging in there, do you know if any made it to freezing? good luck.
Kelly, i am so sorry, why does this happen to some, with no explanation. I hope your able to get some answers and wish you well in whatever you decide to do.
Hi to everyone else.

Kelly: I am so sorry to hear your news. I don't understand why things happen the way they do either, not sure. I am sending a big hug your way and hope you can find some comfort in trying to think about using DE or even adopting. We are thinking about adopting as well, and I know how hard that can be as well, since with an 'older' husband, my case also, your routes are limited and it is almost impossible to adopt an infant. I have also wanted an infant, but toddlers are great as well. Please hand in there. I am thinking about you.
Beachbaby,
that's GREAT! Wow twins. I'm hoping for twins although the idea scares my husband. How are you feeling so far?
I don't know if they froze any embies. They never tell us until the f/u appt. Hopefully we won't even need a f/u appt because I'll get a BFP. I just want these two to stick.
Hope everyone else is doing fine. I feel pretty good although sleepy most of the time. This microdose flare cycle that I just went through was by far the easiest on my body, even though they got 23 eggs. I recovered much faster this time.
