Rachel:

So glad to hear 1st injection went well - i know how worrying it can be. I remember Gemma going for her first, the Dr told me i was to give her half a teaspoon of calpol to help her sleep that night - which i did - and she slept solid all night! I was so scared and kept checking that she was breathing as she had slept for so long lol - but she was fine as im sure Ruby will be - as u say, back to her normal self - thats good to hear :D hugs to u all xxx

Su:

Wow - cant beleive how time has gone by so quick for u - its all very exciting. Those relaxation classes sound fab - think i need some of them myself an im not pregnant - yet!!! lol. I remember when i was pregnant and was huge - an i mean i was measuring summit like 50 - and when Gemma came out she was only 7lbs 5oz - so its hard to tell really - but they will know if ur having a big one or not and should let u know - altho i dont think i wud want to know to be honest - can u imagine them telling u ur having a 9-10 pounder - ohhhh the thought lol ... hope all goes well at ur nxt midwife appt :) xxx

Nims:

Wow for u too hun - cant belive that in 8 weeks time ur gonna be mummy ... did they give u a pic of the scan?? Sorry u didnt realise texts were from me lol - i didnt realise u was away, so no name comes up  an not to worry about not texting back, Shantala usualy doesnt either - after i text her i log on to check my emails as there is usually an anwser there as she never has credit lol ... xxx

Shantala:

Hee hee - hello you :) How are ya hun? All ur holiday washing caught up yet?? Theres nothing worse i hate comming back to so much washing lol. So how is wee Ellie getting along? Anymore pics of FB, im off to look at Ruby's after ive finished nagging u lot, so u better get updating soon too ;) Xxxx

Carolyn:

I anwserd ur message in 'other' thread lol xxxx

Steph:

I have left messages for u hun, not sure if u seent them or not! But i do hope the spotting has stopped, take care xx

AS for me ladies, update on other thread if u wud like to keep up with what we are at ... :D

Speak to ya all soon ... Xxxxx

Hello all!!!

Becky I was not ignoring you, I promise I got your messages. Just been kind of frantic between the bleeding and then we have had the kids since last Friday and DH was out of town from Mon until last night, so I had them by myself. The spotting stopped I think it was Sun or Mon was the last time I saw something. Nothing since then. We just had a little fun in the bedroom, if you know what I mean so that will be a little test of how it is going. Thanks for asking about how I am doing. I see that you are in better spirits and I am glad that you are starting to feel a bit better. Congrats on the lost weight. I see a ticker like that in my future between baby and fertility weight, plus a little stress eating. :)

I had my cervix check today. Everything went great. It was 3.6 cm last time and this time it was 3.58 so hanging in there very well. They took a peek at the babies and both heartbeats were beating well and I saw both moving. I even ate some Lucky Charm before going in hopes that they would move more, but oh well. The next scan is in two weeks and that is the longer genetic scan where we will be able to find out the sex YAY!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great summer so far. I have to go to work tomorrow!!! UGH!!!

Hello Ladies -

I can't believe things are moving along so fast for everyone.

Su - You should be out of work now, eh?? That's fantastic. Sorry to hear about your swelling and little aches and pains, but I guess that goes along with the territory, eh? Hope the scan goes well on Thursday. I know what you mean about hearing/seeing that hb again - even when you feel the movement, that's still a very reassuring thing. Let us know how big your little one is going to be!! I can't wait to hear the good news.

Nims - 32 wk scan already?! Wow. time does fly. I know I get excited with the more that you can see with every scan and I can't even imagine what 32 wks must be like. I'm just thrilled that my little one actually looks like a baby now, rather than a weird little tadpole or alien type creature! :) Best wishes to you - keep us updated!

Rachel & Shantala - glad to hear that all the baby stuff is going well... injections?! Wow. I haven't even imagined that far ahead yet. I need to get on FB to check out your cute little bundles of love. We need updated piccies and OFTEN!! ;)

Steph - So sorry to hear about your scare - but it sounds like it's getting back to normal. So glad to hear. I know that is a huge relief for you. I think you may be getting your anatomy scan before me. I have a regular OB appt next week, but I'm going to hold off on the scan as long as I can - probably til almost 20 wks - since the waits in between visits are so hard - I'm trying to space them out a bit! Can't wait to see more piccies!

As for me, not much new on the baby front. Thankfully, m/s is starting to settle down a bit (whew!) still lingers from time to time, but it's fewer and further between spells.

I'm sorry I've been out for so long, but I had to go home (to my family's) to be with my grandmother, Sassy. Fortunately, I got there in time, but unfortunately, God decided it was time to take her Home. It's been a rough couple of weeks, but I'm trying to get back to reality. I know it's going to be hard for a long time, she was like a 2nd mother to me. But she was suffering from the cancer and I'm so glad she doesn't have to suffer anymore... and knowing where she is brings joy and peace to my heart.

Take care and let us know how everyone is doing! hugs...

hi ladies,

Hope, just wanted to say my thoughts are with you and sorry to hear about Sassy ~ now she can be your guardian angel and watch over you through out your pregnancy and when your little one is born. Sending big hugs (((((((((hugs))))))))

Steph - really pleased the spotting has stopped - must be a great relief and it is good that the cervix check was all as it should be. Hey, give it time about your twins moving - wait until your a little further along and you'll be watching your tummy constantly and staring in amazement at the funny movements that are going on underneath.....

So i guess you're finding out the sexes - that must be next week - what date so i remember to check in on you.

Hey there Mir - thanks for stopping by - haven't heard from Mia since she went sailing off into the sunset.

Rachel/Shantala - how are the new mommies - settling in I hope. Shantala did you get my email re next weekend???

Becks - don't worry do keep my beady eye on you lot on the other thread every now again - hope you are doing ok.

Su - have you finished work yet? don't about you - but getting excited now and wishing the time away - wow we only have over 6wks to go - but will also miss my bump.

Not much to report on from me - the tiredness is kicking in again however only have over a week to go at work and leave next friday which I am so looking forward too - although DH has already lined up little jobs for me to do to stop me climbing the walls with boredom!!

The work in the house is done so now can get on and paint the nursery although the furniture doesn't arrive until the beg of Aug - however I do have a crib so ok should little one decide to make an early appearance. Still have to get bedding and nursery bits and pieces but going to leave that until i'm off so I can shop til I drop :D

start my parent craft classes on Monday so will learn everything I need to know :? so I hope!!

Hope every one is ok

nims xx

Hope, I am so sorry about sassy. At least she is released from the pain and will be watching over you all. hugs.

steph, glad the spotting has stopped. Hope your feeling better and the bachache has subsided a little. good luck with the anatomy scan next week.

Su/Nims, wow it's getting close now, getting excited yet? or scared stiff? Nims, good luck with your last week at work.

As for me doing ok, go tomorrow for another scan and consultant visit, they are in a dilemma over my dates as the babies are measuring a week bigger, so due date from scans comes in at 14th July, and my true due date is 21st July. So they were contacting the clinic for confirmation. Grrr. i an huge, i measure around 46 weeks, plus with the swelling not much fits me now, i have major swelling of the legs but BP and urine all fine, being checked weekly to make sure no pre eclampsia, have got thigh length pressure stockings to help the blood flow, very elegant especially when its hot!!!

Hope everyone else i missed is ok, got to go, going swimming with sister shortly, and then to pick up the cots, yeah they finally arrived.

catch you all later.

I am sorry to hear about your Sassy. It is really hard to lose someone but especially to something that takes so long and puts them in so much pain. You and your family are in my thought and know now she is in no pain at all. Good luck with your anatomy scan. I lucked out with a doc that does it earlier . I just want it to get here, you know? I also have my regular OB appt Wed so do they do the doppler then? I am not sure because the two appts I have had were the first and then the 2nd was when I had that spotting so they did an US then. What has been your experience. Then two days later I get the see the babes up on the big screen again. It is soo cool watching them on tv while the tech is doing their thing.

Beach, you should like other than the swelling that you are doing great. I hope I make it as far as you with as much as you are still doing.

Hi Ladies, well seen the consultant, they are sticking with my later date 21st July (the correct one), twin 1's head is engaged so all ok to try for a natural delivery, he will see me weekly now, but if i am still pregnant in 2 weeks he will book me in to be induced, so now we play the waiting game. He will not allow me to go past 38 weeks. Will keep you all updated.

Catch you later

Beach, I have not talked to my doc about this yet, but is your doc planning on giving you an epidural regardless just in case baby b turns themself around? I have heard of a lot of docs saying that so that they don't get stuck in an emergency situation without an epidural. I was wanting to try to do it natural if I can, but I was just curious if it was common to just do the epidural.

Hi ladies,

Steph, Regarding the epidural, no i do not have to have one as stat, If i need a c-section they will administer a spinal anaesthetic, similar but quicker working than epidural.

Wiishful, glad the Er went well, 5 is great. Good luck today. Regarding the sexy stockings will still have to wear them after for a ouple of weeks until all the swelling goes down!! lucky me.

Hi to everyone else.

Trying to pay all the bills for work to help out DH, it's quicker if i do it as it's my job. he brought it all home for me, VAT man this month too, so trying to get it all boxed off as my muum and dad arrive bacck tonight for the summer, havn't seen them since April.
catch you all later.
