Good to see you on this thread Gigi. Sorry about the nausea but it does mean you are pregnant! Glad to hear your son's MRI results were good ... good luck with the surgery.
Chriss- Glad to hear the contractions are slowing down as you slow down. Love the graphics.
Sorry not more personals but just plain tired ... I hope you are all doing well though!
I had an u/s today so got to see the twins once again. They were both moving about, it was fun to watch. I'll be 12 weeks on Friday so he said I'm pretty much in the clear as far as miscarriages go. I don't go back for 3 weeks now... that seems sooo long. I asked if I could schedule 2 weeks out and he said all is fine and if something does come up he'll be more than happy to have me come in. We are off to celebrate my in-laws 50th anniversary with them this weekend. We leave Friday morning, so I've been busy trying to get everything organized at work for a sub. I'll try to check in tomorrow night but if not I hope everyone has a great weekend!
chriss - glad to hear the high risk doctor only echoed your regular ob/gyn - sometimes no new news is also good news! Hope you are well and take good care of yourself and those boys!
Hopeful - have a very nice time away and enjoy the party! I was also seeing my ob/gyn every two weeks at first, then she upped it to every three weeks after I got to the 12 week mark. It did seems like a long wait at first, but then I got used to it. Now I am going in 2x/week and all I want to do is stay home and finish getting ready or sleep! So happy to hear your twins are doing so well and do call the doctor sooner if you suspect something isn't right!
gigi - welcome to this thread! Sorry to hear about your MS - Did you also have that with all your pregnancies? How about your mom, did she also have it? I read somewhere that is does run in families. My mom never had it and neither did I --
I do hope that I can nurse, that is the plan. The hospital midwives said they have a success rate of 90% by the 2nd or 3rd day. Here if you end up needing to pump, you get a prescription and will get a pump from the pharmacy, which is free for as long as you need it.
carolyn and sabi - hope you are both doing well!
So, in two weeks from today we will be parents! I had one of my last ultrasounds with my ob/gyn who said that the baby has finally turned and is head down. The midwife who runs our childbirth class gave me an exercise to practice with DH that was supposed to help the baby turn, and I guess it did work! She said the baby was well proportioned and looked like it had my legs and not those of my DH, who has the long legs of a high jumper, which is one trait I was hoping for! We'll see soon enough...
For those of you who did or have done acupuncture, the midwife also recommended it again beginning in the 36th week, for both natural births and c-sections. She talked about the pressure points in your feet/ankle area that give you energy and in your knees that help to relax you and then later, in your little toes that help bring on the contractions when the time comes. She also mentioned starting in the 36th week to rub oil around your cervix/vaginal opening and massage it to help it stretch more easily during birth...
Have a great end to the week and a very nice weekend!
xx summer

Chris - have they said how long you have to have your bedrest for ?? have the contractions subsided at all ??
Summer ooo - 6 more sleeps till your a mummy - thibking of you all as you have your last weekend of freedom
Hi to everyone else - hope your all doing good and just too hormonally tired to post !!!
AFM - nothing much to report - fatter by the day and need to shop this weekend for more clothes got scan on thursday so can't wait to see the beans - it will be 9 weeks since we last saw them - not finding out what we are having - want a surprise
Is your scan this Thursday or next? The 20 week scan is very different from the 12 week scan. During the 12 week scan, we could easily see both babies at the same time. After that they are big and they had to show us them one at a time. It's very exciting. Can't believe you are waiting to find out the sex of the babies. WOW!!! Willpower!!!
The resting has actually helped with the contractions. They are still coming, but not as many or as often.
Went to OB today, they did an internal sono to check cervix and things look fine. So the bed-rest is the way to go for me.
Hope you are enjoying the pregnancy and having fun shopping. Are you in maternity clothes? I wear lots of pajamas and t-shirts all day. I had my baby shower on Saturday, it was THE BEST!!!!! We had it early because my sis is due any minute!!!! I'm glad it was early also because who knows how mobile I will be as I keep growing!!! As of now it's tough to stand!!!
My shower was planned and it was not a surprise for me, the way I like it.
If you have a shower, you will love it!!!
Hi Summer, hope you are well. I'm sure everything is ready!!! Keep us posted!
WOW...Summer only 3 days till your lil one is here! You and DH must be very excited.
Wishfull: WHAT?? You arent finding out the sex of the babies??? I am with Chriss...That is will power! You are amazing. I will be checking back to hear about your scan! Can't wait to hear all about it!! Stop saying fatter...You are preggo with TWO miracles...take care you. xxxxx
Chriss: I have been lurking checking on you and the pregancy. SO glad to hear your cervix is looking good. Congrats on your shower Momma...it has been a long time coming hasnt it. Has it completely sunk in now? You and DH are infertility warriors!! You both are amazing. xxxxxx
I can't believe how far a long you ladies are!!! I couldnt be happier for all of you!!! xxxxx
ALWAYS GREAT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!!
What's the latest with you? I miss your cheery posts!!! Hope you are well and will be making plans soon. I want you to join me!!!
Hi everyone, thinking of you all. Summer... how are you? It's been a while since we've heard from you, wondering how you are. Are you still home? Are you in the hospital???? I know you are busy so we will be patient, just know that we are thinking of you.
I am 25 weeks today. Had a little scare over the weekend and had to go to hospital for monitoring. Was hooked up to lots of monitors and given lots of fluids and medications and sent back home after about a day & a half. I have a very active uterus as you guys already know, it was flaring up this weekend. Looks like cervix is stable so I am back home. This is really tough. I am taking it day by day. In the meantime I am so swelled up from all of the fluids and bed-rest. Gained 7 pounds of water weight just from the overnight hospital stay. WOW is about all I can stay.
I am finally 12wks today and finally feel like I can breath and feel pg. I can't believe how fast some of your pg seem to be going and how many twins there are.
My daughter told me this morning that I don't look pg, just "Chunky"- Oh thanks a lot was about all I could say. I am in very feel regular clothes now, and mainly wear my fat, stretchy or new maternity clothes.
I am finally weaning off all the progesterone, only on PIO every other day and feel so much better. I can actually stay up past 9:00pm, a major feat before.
We are also not going to be finding out the sex; DH wants it to be a surprise. I don't, but I have had 2 kids before he has not.
Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all.

Chriss: Actually, we FINALLY have a date. March we go to our "getting started" appoinment. We are so excited but so scared something will get in our way again. We will be starting our DIUI's. I am totally trying to keep positive!!! I am sure you already know...but you made it past 24 weeks!!! Which means your baby's are viable!! *Ahem* BOYS: that doesn't mean you can come out yet. You are to stay put for another 10 weeks!!! I can't believe you and your sis were able to be preggo together! What a gift huh! HUGS!!! xxxxx
Wishful: OMG... That is horrible. So sorry to hear that. But the pills will help?? Take it easy. Good luck tomorrow. I am so excited for you. xxxxxxx

(I am not an official member...just have to keep an eye on my girls! )
Summer,
this is it girl!! Your last night before your dd is born! How exciting! Been thinking about you all day...are you nervous?? I imagine you will be going to the hospital early tomorrow morning. I'm wishing you a quick & painless delivery& prayers for a healthy baby. I'll be praying for you. Get some good rest tonight. Carolyn,
Glad to hear all is well - besides the iron deficiency. My rear is getting HUGE!!! glad I'm not the only one to experience growth in other areas. Chriss,
Wonderful that baby is staying put. You stay put too. Is it hard?? Do you miss school? How lucky to already have your baby shower. Did you get lots of good stuff?
A special hello to all the ladies I missed. In a hurry- going to a multiples class tonight.
Everything on my end is good. Ultrasound went fabulous. I have 2 healthy babies weighing 12oz a piece. So cool to see them in action. Baby A is sucking his/her thumb. Having a hard time keeping the weight in balance again this month- constant struggle. To many cookies & brownies. Still unable to keep pm food down 80% of the time. Anyone else vomiting in the evening after eating a meal? Exhausted most of the time. But who's complaining! I'm just thrilled to be carrying two miracles. Take care ladies! Always in my thoughts!
GO SUMMER GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summer, I'm so excited for you! Best wishes for a speedy, uneventful delivery!
Chriss, sounds like a scary weekend but I'm glad to hear things calmed down. You are my reminder to take it easy at work.
Stef, glad to see you over here. Kids can be so honest when we don't want them to be.
Carolyn, the fainting must of been a little scary. You must be so excited for your scan. I can't believe you go so long between appointments ... just glad everything is going well. The class I told I had last year said they suspected it but were afraid to ask because if I wasn't then it would be rude. They were definitely surprised about the twins.
Sabi, good to hear from you. Sorry to hear you are still getting sick at night, but glad the babies are doing well.
Miracle, sounds like you are on your way ... March will be here before you know it.
AFM just really busy at work and while I should do some each night I get to tired and do very little. Time to walk the dog before it gets dark and I get to lazy.
Everyone, I read your posts and you all sound as though you are moving along nicely.
I have a question... Any of you considering cord blood banking? Do you know much about it? Is it recommended for us who have used donors? My OB is kind of pushing it, and I need to know more than what the companies who sell it are saying. What are your thoughts?
Hi everyone! I posted this on the egg-heads as well --
Our little Anna was born on October 7th! She chose her own birthday after all!
I was at my routine exam on Monday the 5th and my BP was suddenly measuring very high and I had gained like 4 kilos in 3 days -- so, was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and was sent directly to the hospital for monitoring, where my BP sunk...then on Tuesday night it was very high again and they decided not to wait any longer and on Wednesday morning scheduled my c-section for that day. Had to call DH and tell him to come to the hospital w/in 2 hours because we were about to become parents...
C-section went very well and Anna arrived at 1:24. We all are doing very well and have been home for almost a week.
It was probably the most emotionally filled day of my life. Such overwhelming joy and happiness. We are truly blessed with a miracle after a long journey.
Wishing everyone here all the best on your journey! We all truly deserve to make our dreams come true.
Will get caught up on everything that is going on here in the coming days and send personals very soon. Thinking of all of you and thanks so much for thinking of me as well!
