Hi everyone!!! I'm just checking in on the snow bunnies.
Sunshine, you're right, someone sneezes the word 'snow' and the local grocery stores go haywire for bread and milk. It's just the craziest thing. And everything shuts down, schools, banks, government offices. The only thing open is the little corner stores that have tripled the cost of items because everyone is looking for the golden loaf of bread and sacred pint of milk.
But we haven't gotten any snow this way so I'm still working like there's 42 hours in a day. Don't worry, as soon as I have my ET, I'm taking some time off!!! I'm going on strike so my baby(ies) can snuggle in tight. whoo-hoo!!!

Just-so-lost, I wish we could get over-time too...Even considered working two jobs to help save up more for IVF, but it would be a balancing act w/ schedule conflict. Plus with the holidays, I knew it would be tough trying to travel back home...It feels like this month has already flown by so fast, hasn't it though!

Our party was a success! Thank you Kynlee for those recipes, everything was a hit! Plus My next door neighbor made chicken dumplings (her grandmother's recipe) and another neighbor brought in c.c cookies...Most of the guys brought in the beer lol. We fixed chocolate covered strawberries, brownies (with chocolate peppermint sauce), chex party mix, had the cheese dip with nacho scoops and made some mini cornbread muffins to go with our chili. Our guest left behind some Chardonay and Michalob...Guess that's the joy of throwing parties, lol. We couldn't of asked for better weather, my dh built a fire-pit for us to gather around and roasted marshmallows. Painted more ornaments together with Belles and Sara out in the gazebo. We're talking now about having a New Year's Party, but trying to keep it open in case we have to travel back home that weekend for Christmas at dh's family. Actually, I would rather see everyone all at one time then make two separate trips home, but my aunt says her little girls are having their Christmas program the same weekend we've already planned to come home. They need to understand it is an 8 hour drive for us and we can only do so much...We really don't mean to create drama!

Hi txcplforivf-congrats!! That sounds great although I'm not sure what the numbers should be really. But it all sounds sooo exciting. I'm so green with this process and I won't be going thru your part of the process until next month. I guess with you doing this first, you can tell the rest of us what to expect next month. I do suggest that you check out another thread that I think of a couple of us here have peeped in on occassionally and that's the Fall Cycle thread under the IVF section of the website. I'm really excited for you! Be sure to keep us posted.

Dallas-sorry, I have no clue what OOHS is, but I will be googling that shortly.

Sunshine-your party/gathering sounded like so much fun. I'm going to call you to plan my baby shower and cater it as well because it sounds like you have a gift for that. :)

LOL Justsolost, just as long as no one suggests the game we played at my friend's baby shower...What kind of chocolate is on this diaper? lol we were all sniffing and looking at the texture of chocolate but it looked like poo more than anything! yucko. Hey I'm now thinking why not throw one BIG baby shower together? I know we all will be looking forward to so much in 2011. I have much anticipation to hear about everything and share so much with the three musketeers in 2011 every baby-step of the way! :D

Dallas- I had OHSS i recommend tons of Gatorade... I gained 10 lbs and was bloated for weeks but it will go away, so stay on fluids :) Thankfully my DR monitored me regularly and I didnt have to get drained... DO you have ER??

Ginger- Good Luck Weds... Really no tricks to ER you are put to sleep and then when you wake they tell you how many eggs they retrieve... You will be ok I will be praying for you :)

Sunshine- Glad your party was a hit... Did you make one of my recipes for the party? Thanks for the cookie recipe :) When are you heading to see your nephew??? And yes the 3 musketeers will be together every step of the way...

Justsolost- with you working all this overtime we are missing you on here, but I am sure it is making time fly and before you know it, it will be FEB :)

Kynlee- We're planning on heading back to Alabama next weekend, and will get to meet Baby Will, my brother's 3 wk old son! Did tell everyone dh and I will be making ONLY one trip back home since it's an 8 hr drive, but it will be bittersweet leaving some presents under the tree. This is why skype is sooo great, when you cannot be there, skype becomes your best friend!
Funny, I somehow acquired 3 crockpots...We did two versions of chili for the party in case some like chili without peperoni, but all was good. It was so funny, that my batch tasted too sweet, like it needed more tomatoes! I was fresh out of tomato sauce, so instead I poured half a jar of Ragu sphaghetti sauce and wow it gave it that kick of italian flavor. I did make a different cheese dip, since I am a big fan of velveeta! I used one pound of ground beef, a can of rotel with 16 oz Velv and just throw it into a crockpot and it's fuss-free yet delicious too! :D Have a great week!

txcplforivf- Wow that's ALOT of follicles and we hope you'll be able to freeze some of them too! Sounds like you responded well to the meds anyway! How did the trigger shot go tonight?

I remember the night of our first trigger shot we almost freaked out b/c we had no idea where in the rear dh was supposed to give the shot. It was so funny that he kept trying to pinch up the skin there too. lol, I was like not there, too close to the hip bone! It's always easier if the nurse marks the "bulls-eye" for you-- way ahead of time. I remember the first time was brutal, but I know the second time around we'll know what to expect and that's why I am thankful we have a great support group here sharing stories everyday. We know we couldn't go at this alone--well maybe some could, but not little o' me! :D

Hi ladies. Don't fire me, I'm still here. I'm sucking at personals because I'm typing with one eye open but I do recall Sunshine saying something about a group baby shower. ROAD TRIP, with big bellies and gifts in tow!!!

But welcome to the new soon to be mommies!! I hope to be able to continue to share this wonderful journey with you guys.

Let's see, anything new with me? Hmmm, nope. My doctor's office will be closed for the holidays until the first week of January so I'm starting another pack of the delicious BCP's. They said again that I'll be mailed my protocol so I'm keeping my eye out for that so you guys can tell me what it means. I did do bloodwork again this week because the lab 'lost' the other tests. Can anyone tell me why they're drawing so much blood? It's a weekly thing and I'm not even pregnant yet. I think the lab ladies are selling it to get money to buy their Christmas gifts.

Well I'll check in later this weekend...take care and stay warm!!

Justsolost- Confused why they are doing so much blood work on you... When I first stared I had to get blood work but it was for regular things and then after that I didn't have to to routine blood work till I started all the med's, to watch my E level... I would ask if I were you, cause you don't want to get billed for things you don't need... We know you are busy so as long as you check in here and there so we know what your up to :) Soon enough you will be on more chatting about pregnancy's with us... Road trip big bellys and baby gifts sounds like a plan :)
